Who do.i call in Louisiana to report this. There isnt no.telling how many people actually do this and get nothing.

I got a email saying I was approved for 5000.00. He said his name was Marshall.  I called to see what it was about and he asked how much would u like to borrow. I told him 2000.00 and I had to pay 105.00 for 23 months. I had to get a vanilla reloadable card. Then he said.i needed a green dot card. I think someone needs to.find this person and do.something about it.

I got the same message. Who can this be reported to?

This moth******er scammed me too muthafuckin Indian bi*** I wanna find dis bi*** a** Sam hardy beat the s*** out of him. He said the same thing I was approve for5 5000 n told me get green dot money card for 385 I lost 1300$ on this fuckn scam.. I hoped FBI find this f***..

I was told the same thing.  $5000 loan and was on the way to get a greendot card till I read this!

No, and I'm sorry you got sucked into this scam.  Advance fee loans are illegal in the US.  Unfortunately, you've learned the hard way.

You can always ask the hospital (where the operation is to take place) if they have some sort of hardship program - they may be able to write off at least some, most or even all of the cost of surgery, care, etc.

I don't know which agencies might be able to help, however, I did come across this site, which looks promising.  http://national-resources-for-low-income-indi ... -1.aidpage.com/  CAVEAT:  I have not looked at the links and information in great detail - as always, you should do your own due diligence.  The links should give you a starting place, at least.

Eric, because it was paid for with GreenDot, it's not likely that you will be able to get your money back.

Please file a police report with your local authorites, as well as reports with the FTC (http://www.ftc.gov ) , the FCC (http://www.fcc.gov ) , the FBI (http://www.fbi.gov ) , and IC3, which you can find from the FBI website.
