I just received a call from this number.  I've received calls in the past from a similar (310), but have not answered.  Same thing--they don't leave a message.

your same exact story just happened to me moments ago.  I will nervous until you said  that she would ask for CC info.  She never got to this part before I told her I was searching google for more details about her company.  Thanks for the heads up!

I got a call from this number how is it.

I receive calls from this number. It is a woman; she is rude and hangs up on me. When I ask who or what the call is about; she yells and hangs up!

I received a call from 310-370-9172 today and was told about how I had been entered into a sweepstakes drawing by one of my credit card companies or banks. They said it was a thank you for paying my bills on time. They offered me 6 free magazines for 2 years as long as I paid for one weekly magazine $3.95 a week for 2 years. They also offered to send me a diamond watch. It seemed to good to be true but I listened anyway, they kept emphasizing the word "free" until they got to the part about collecting my inital payment for the weekly mag. She asked for my credit card number and I told her I wasn't comfortable giving her that information and she tried to tell me how there is a new law that states i am not responsible for any unauthorized purchases on my credit card. She also said she just needs my credit card one time and i said "it only takes 1 time for me to give you my information and then you take it and use my credit card". I told her I wouldn't feel comfortable until I looked the company up and she said that was understandable and said she'd call me back later. I'm curious to see if she will call back since she has to know I found out it was a scam. I already was 99% sure it was a scam but just wanted to double check. They actually called me twice in a row, once from Tiffany I believe she said and then from her manager Maria. The first time the caller id showed M S Inc 310-370-9172 the second time it was Private.

I've received missed calls from this number as well 310-214-9069 & 310-539-2666. I've never gotten an answer when I call back. With all the comments, we should all try calling everyday and see how she likes it.

This number has been calling me for over a week now at all odd times , they never leave a message, and I dont get a caller ID, I wont answer -unless i know them, this is not the first time for these calls either, just a waste of time and minutes.

I suggest you google the FCC and file a complaint with them.

I received a call from this number, it was a women who claimed she was from Publishing Company in Redondo Beach.  She told me I was entered in a sweepstakes because of my good standing with my credit card company (she failed to mention which credit card).  She explained all these elaborate gifts I could win and just wanted a few pieces of information.  She needed to verify my address, she asked my age, and she asked my occupation.  When I was vague about my answers (example "I'm over 21") she tried to get the information from me differently by offering me free stuff as a promotion.  I asked her simply, What's the catch?, and she hung up right away.  Unfortunatly she already had some correct info.  I would not answer this call, it is probably an identity theft scam fishing for the remaining pieces of information they need from you.

I also received a weird call from this number, the girl was rude to me and hung up when I mentioned I had already got a call from Publisher's Headquarters.  They said it was a Dreams Come True Sweepstakes, I was entered by either my bank or credit card company, and I could win one of several prizes on March 31, 2008.  I am begining to believe my cell phone number (even though I am on the do not call list) got sold to telemarketers after I ordered a product advertised on TV (that is a whole other story!)
The other number was 310-241-0039.  She told me I won a bunch of Magazines and because I was a semi-finalist in the contest.

I've also got a bunch of scam type calls but from another number 310-241-2969 they've cussed me hung up on me and blocked there calls. I know this is some sort of scam. there is lots of people having this same problem and I found that just about all the 310-241- numbers are the same scam.

I too got a woman who told me she was from Publishers Clearinghouse in CA and told me I was entered into a sweepstake.  I told her she had called my cell phone and that I wished to be removed from the call list, she told me she was not going to remove my name and that she would call me every day.  DO NOT ANSWER THIS CALL OR PROVIDE INFO.

Very rude people.  When I called them back, they claim they are a porno company.

I have recieved over 6 calls from this number for over a week. I'm glad to read all of these messages before I actually answered. Thank you.

I CAN ASSURE YOU THIS IS A SCAM. they told me that i was entered for a drawing by my bank or credit card company. when they asked for my new address I asked them if i would receive anything in the mail aside from the notification of winning, they promptly said "ok thank you" and hung up. I work for the bank that I also bank with. There are VERY strict policies on giving out customer information. No bank that actually intends to protect your money will EVER give ANY of your information out.

I got a call from this number also but you need to do is call your Federal Trade Commissioner the 800 phone file a complaint give them this number they will check this number out.

same as everyone else, got a call from them I asked the lady who she was and she hung up on me.  I tried calling back a few times only for it to ring busy, finally got through and she picked up the phone said hello and then hung up.  Cant the AGs office get involved obviously it's been going on for years and is a scam.  I would think them using foul language alone would be against the law if the same laws apply to them as it does to collectors.

they said that a credit card gave my name to them as a winner of a contest, of 25,000 $  a 2010 Chevy Tahoe,or a trip for 2 too Switzerland,,,,to be given on May 30th 2010,,,,,,I called the number back and noone answered

I just received a call from this number at on my cell phone at work...they hung up and i tried to call back but it was busy.  after reading the entries below, i now know it was the same scam with the publishers because these idiots have called me before and i said i wasn't interested...the next time they called i demanded to be removed from their calling list/be put on a "do not call" list...pissed off that they tried to call me again...and wasted my time at work!

Got a call from 310-370-9172. Same thing as others are saying. Told me that selected credit cars companys enter you for being a preffered customer in a drawing. I lied to them and told them i didnt have any cards. She then told m,e my bank sometimes enters me. I told her i didnt have a bank account and she says well i guess you dont qualify and didnt even say goodbye she just hung up on me. Complete Losers. When you get a call from these people tell them where the moon doesnt shine.

I just received the same call as you, so I know that they are a group of scammers so be careful, when I told her that I didnot want her magazines and nothing she has to offer she got nasty.
