For those of you that Have used Imperial Captial, How long did it take to get your credit repaired good enough to get a good interest rate on a mortgage? We have been in it for 4 months and they have fixed several things on our reports some have been deleted. We are wanting to pull a report, but they said we really need to wait 6 months not the 4 we have been in. So my question is if you have had good results with this company please share with me the time you were with them and what they did for you. Thanks!

Call your bank / credit card company and get the charge blocked before it clears. Report the phone numbers to the FTC/FCC.

I was briefly employed by this SCAM of a company. And by brief, I meant just hours after finding out that the job description is to SCAM unassuming people day in and day out.
Your information has been bought by higher-ups from Imperial Capital, which is acquired from FREE CREDIT REPORT sites or other MORTGAGE help sites.
Anyway, your info (phone number, name, address, and the site where your info came from) flashes onto an employee's screen. Keep in mind that employees are PAID $20 per person (on top of the minimum hourly wage in CA)  that they lure into the bogus program, so no wonder that they are more than motivated to hound and harass you looking for your credit card...

This is their service/program: for a fee of $59.99, they will pull up your Tier 1, Tier 2 & Tier 3 credit reports. Keep in mind, that each credit report is $20 each (if you were to pull them up yourself), so they claim that they actually do not profit from you. On top of that, they will have a CERTIFIED CREDIT ANALYST contact you for no charge at all, simply because they are concerned about you & since Imperial Capital is ALSO a mortage lender (a total lie)- they look forward to doing a future lending business with you.

They will claim that they are the best in the country, that they will help you with your bad credit, etc... The CERTIFIED CREDIT ANALYST are also in on the SCAM, telling you that you will need to pay an amount upwards to $800, but no more than $1500, in order to continue with the credit repair. Total SCAM. These CREDIT ANALYSTS are paid $50 - $80 per person, depending on what the person signs up for.

They promise you a higher credit score. They will do so by doing certain LEGAL and "proven" procedures. What they omit or de-emphasize is the fact that they are asking $$$ for something that you can easily do yourself, for free (just google 'do-it-yourself guide to credit repair'). Simply put, they will write a dispute letter on behalf of you and send it to the Credit Bureau. Of course, this part isn't a scam. The scam is that they seldom follow-through, the process takes more than 6 months and that once you agree to the service, you will be charged a monthly fee until an unspecified amount of time.

Save yourself the hassle and the annoying phone calls, and next time that you get a phone call from anyone from Imperial Capital, just say that they have the wrong number.

I got the same call, after filling out an application for an FHA loan on a site called fha.com... fha.com is not the site to find an fha loan. On the website is states "fha.com is a private company and is not a government agency". Thankfully they don't ask for social security numbers or credit card information. Your spam folder may fill up though

I did the same thing as Autumn did. I was on freecreditreport.com and there was a link to this website that would connect you to someone who could help you with a mortgage. I thought since I was on freecreditreport.com that it was safe. They called I did allow them to run my report for $59.99 and the weird thing about it was they said my debit card was denied, I thought "huh that can't be right". So I gave them my credit card #, it was denied to, I must have lost my mind for a minute cause I gave them my bank account # and it went throught. Well them that Matt guy called me and started talking about $ 425.00 do fix what was on my credit that was already paid and not taken off. I told him I had to talk with my fiance about it and I started doing research. Not good I tell you very few and I mean few sites have anything good to say about them. I believe it is a scam. I have already been in contact with the FTC and filed a complaint. And as soon as my bank is open I am going to have it where that company can' t not take any money out.
WATCH OUT I BELIEVE IT IS A SCAM. I DID NOT THINK ABOUT IT BECAUSE I HAD JUST BEEN ON FREECREDITREPORT.COM WHICH LINKED ME TO THEM. THEY ARE BAD NEWS!!!!

Been getting calls from Imperial Capital, from a lady named Christine. She sounds legitimate, but to pay $60 to pull my credit report, when Veterans United does it for free. I may of messed up, and given my SSN. After ready what people had to say here, I may just work on fixing my credit score myself. I'd be more comfortable dealing with someone face to face than through phone calls and the internet. It seem more legit that way.

I signed up with Lexington Law because they were NOT pushy, they were very polite.  Customer service is great.  In the mean time I keep getting calls from an Imperial rep bad mouthing Lexington, and myself for using them, insisting they can't help me.  They can't get all my credit reports (which they already had).  Really snotty and rude.

Yep, this company is horrible!!!!! Do NOT Sign up with this company.  I have wasted a lot of money and have had nothing removed, now am I going back and forth with their "attorney".  I also got copied  on a chain of emails, in which the alleged VP of the company calls me "a young arrogant" person.  It also talks about how they will try to stretch out the 6 month deal and find one little reason not to refund you the money.

It's my opinion that this is an unethical company...I would stay away!

I was apparently stupid.I gave them $59 also and they sent an email.I have not proceeded with the email.I have been trying to investigate them myself. they claim they are with the BBB out of Nevada which is suppose to be their home office. They claim to be operating out of Westwood California at 914 West wood Blvd.I contacted the secretary of state who does the licensing in Ca. and they say they do not have a business license and was advised to ask for their license registration number and to ask who licensed them.they tried to say they were not authorized to give out the number and they were licensed out of Nevada. On the BBB website out of Nevada it says that a business operating in California has to have a California license. So I guess I will have to talke to the bank and stop them from getting anymore of my money.I am retired and on a limited income and I explained this to them at Prime Credit Experts. I spoke with someone named Bryan Stuart, supervisor, 1800 879 6192  ,ext 312 .  I also spoke with someone named  Max Alperstein. So I am assuming that my $59.00 is gone. the name of the person that I initially spoke with was Brandon Johnson,1800 879 6192 ext 252. I also spoke with this person who claims to be an attorneyAttorney dania Albarenga  408 472-7124    . and she said she would have someone call me.someone called by the name of Ericerik Schlegel, operational services of imperial capital  and prime credit. He said the attorney had asked him to call.So now I am wondering if the attorney is legitimate.Mr.Schlegel claims that the company is in fact legitimant. What should I do now?

I filled out a loan application online. Got a call from a guy named eric brewer right away. He said he needed to run my credit reports (all three) for 60 bucks. I did and a guy named matt horak contacted me right away. He spoke very quickly and said for $425 he and 24other people would work on fixing my credit.

After I got off the phone, i did a little research. When you google their address 914 Westwood blvd #806 Westwood CA 90024 This website will come up www.mercantigroup.com/ToOurClients.htm It lists all the websites and names that the scammers have used. and states that imperial capital does not provide any mortgage, credit or credit repair services.

I have decided to not go through with it and I am glad I read about this.

Update on my Imperial Capital experience.
I paid the $59 for a hard credit report, it was different than the FREE report you get yourself and showed some issues I was not aware of.
I paid $400 for Imperial Capitol to work on my behalf, they identified 7 items to target getting off my report to help my credit score, including deleting an address I never lived at?
In less than 30 days, 2 derogatory items have been removed from my report COMPLETELY!  These were accounts I paid late, or settled for less than the full amount and they are now completely GONE.  I have two more from the short sale of a house - the mortgage and the home equity loan, and we are now working on getting those removed so my credit will be back to perfect.
I will get back the amount I paid tenfold with lower rates on future purchases.

I contacted Imperial Capital credit repair and it was the best decision I've ever made.I gave them all my info. I spoke to a representative and they immediately ran my credit. They informed me that there were duplicate accounts and collections still pending, which why I wasn't able to get a Mortgage loan. We went over the agencies and the collection agencies hadn't informed the 3 Credit Bureaus. I was very angry. I paid the start up fee because I don't have the time to contact the agencies nor deal with 3 Credit Bureaus. Within 3 months time frame. Imperial Capital Credit Repair brought my score up by a margin of 60 points with each Credit Bureau. Now, I qualify for an mortgage loan. They removed all of my collection accounts and couple of negative accounts on my credit. Now, I'm sitting really pretty with an even better rate. If you have the time, then by all means, do it yourself, however, if you don't and would like someone to dispute the facts. Then I recommend Imperial Capital Credit Repair. Even, Equifax approved them. Yes, they are small time but they do the work for the right amount of money. Yes, you can dispute them on the 3 Credit Websites but I had to do it worry and stress free. Also, they got rid of things that you can't yourself could do. I do highly recommend this agency especially if you want instant gratification with a slight wait. Would I do it again, yes!

Thank you Imperial Capital!!!!!

So we signed up as well as others with Imperial Cap. The credit report we got from them was not the same as the ones we pulled "free" Also my credit score from a rep. company stated it was in the 400's the scores from them was more like previous scores, in the 500's. I hope Imperial cap can help us.

I signed up with Imperial Capitol to help work on my credit report.  My credit is in the high 600s and I was applying for a job and had an issue with a couple entries in my credit based on a passed divorce that I did not know was bad.  I paid $59 to get a good report and then $400 for them to fix the discrepancies.  I do not work with them, and am completely independent.  In fact I consider myself quite financially saavy, but this credit score thing has me baffled, especially when I see other people's records on my account.

First the "FREE" report I had been getting from Transunion and the Free credit report places, was not the same as the level of report I got for the $59, so that fee was WELL WORTH IT.  We found a lot of errors on the paid report, the score was the real credit score, not some educational score.

Next, I did pay them to fix my report and they are doing a good job so far.  They have given me a website to check on their progress, a person I can call or send a private note to anytime who is working on my account and there is a detail of everything they have done right online so I can see it.

I have not been disappointed.

Its incredible how ignorant some people posting to this board are. I've used Imperial Capital because I dont have the time to write and research my own disputes. Granted credit restoration takes months, not days. I had 5 items out of 7 removed in 4 months, then stopped paying. Im happy with my score and the other two items were not budging.

Dont be ignorant people. Pay your bills on time and avoid needing to do credit restoration, unfortunate for me I cant hold a pen from the war in Iraq, an my time overseas screwed my credit.

If you dont want the service, do it yourself!

Hello, i was reading over everyone's comments. I would like to say I have enrolled with this company a few months ago. I can honestly say I was very skeptical after reading these reviews. The truth is my questions are always answered, the people are pleaseant and I have received a credit report from 2 credit agencies already in which one bureau has removed some items. If you are trying to clean your credit its a great investment. I agree with some. You can do it yourself but I don't have the time.
