Caller indicated that we had talked before and that he had my credit history.  It's a scam and a lie. #1, this is a public High School and he had no idea who he was calling.  WE had not talked before, I am not in debt and do not need credit services.  On top of that, when I called the number HE gave me to called back, it's a "hold for next operator".  The service admitted that it was cold calling trying to get debt reduction or cash advance parties.

This number is involved in criminal violation of the national do-not-call law, and has committed criminal fraud by impersonating a Florida credit company.

I get this recorded call consistently. I finally *69'd them and investigated.

It was a phone room, not a cell phone, as far as I could tell because I got a different operator each time.

They're trained in conducting fraudulent phone scams. Of five voices that answered the phone, each spoke with a thick immigrant accent. They always lead with "Would you like to reduce your debt?" or "Would you like to speak to an agent?" The wrong answer consistently resulted in them hanging up on me. ("i.e. no, I would like to be removed from your list == hangup")

After a few probes to learn their system, from a calling card that masked by caller ID, I got information from one of the "agents." I did this by playing along -- answering yes when they said "would you like to reduce your debt." If this report results in them further training their agents to withold information they are legally required to disclose (their corporate identity) future investigations will need to play along just a little further. Act perfectly willing to comply, but by the way, ask for their company name before disclosing information. If you record the call, you will have in your had digital library evidence of criminal fraud when they use the wrong company name.

If you then take your recording to the FTC and they don't act to enforce, or take it to Florida officials (where the company being victimized by corporate identity theft and criminal trademark violations is located) and either fails to investigate, take it to the media.

One more detail -- this badly made recording of a male with a U.S. Anglo dialect who says "uh" 50 times in one sentence won't release my phone line when I hang up. Whatever this scam is, it could be a violation of FCC rules for interference, tampering or jamming telephone lines. Beware -- once you try unsuccessfully to hang up on these calls, you could have a live phone line listening in on conversations where you answered the call.

Scammer... something about debt relief.  I hope whoever is doing these junk calls get scammed themselves for all they're worth and it ruins them and anyone close to them. I hope they lose everything. Miserable low-life scum.

they called here, I got the same message the others got, I pushed 1 to get an agent and told them I wanted on their do not call list, the lady hung up on me.. second time I called them back and told them again, they hung up on me, third time I told her I was recording the conversation, that I was documenting this for my attorney, that I did not want them to call back and was contacting the attorney general.  She said something about my number being in their service or something, then hung up.

I have received at least daily phone messages from this number for several months.  Typically, I just delete them because they are solicitations made to a business phone number, and I'm not interested.  Interstingly, there have only been 3-4 people leaving the messages - I can recognize their voices.  They leave a phone number (866.216.8234), and I've called the phone number, but if you say anything other than 'yes' to their initial question "would you like to reduce your debt", they just hang up on you.  I've listed the phone number on the national do not call list, and I've requested of the individuals calling that I be removed from their list.  They continue to call.

I just received this phone call as a debt consolidation and the guy was very disturbing as soon as I said I wanted taken off the call list he immediately says f*#k you you f*&#ing b&^ch and after the cursing he tells me repeatedly that I need to shove something in my p&^sy. I tried calling the camel jockey back after I was out of shock and of course the phone was no longer in service. Something has to be done about this.

I just received a call from this company with the same "we have talked before" message.  I pressed 1 and got to an agent, but could not clearly understand her due to noise on the line.  When I asked, "I'm sorry, what was the name of your company?" she immediatly hung up.

I get calls from this number every day now and it's the same canned call from a cell phone.Says we have spoken previously about my debt and going over my files I qualify for an increased amount of loan!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Never talked to this company and do not have any debt except my gasoline bills!!!!!!!!! Ha!
I called back and get some foreigner asking if I need to apply for a loan(I could hear all the people talking in the background) and I said no-do not call my number again and before I could finish she hung up on me!
It's just a constant stream of scams with them changing cell phone numbers and their name every few weeks!

They 1st asked if I wanted to talk to a rep, I did say that I wasnted to talk to a rep.  I know that some of these companies can get you to say yes over the phone they will have it recorded and will insert it into their scam and it can end up costing you what ever the scam is.  After I said that I wanted to talk to a rep they asked if I have debt, I told her I will only talk to a rep or a supervisor about the matter.  When they got someone else on the line I told them to not call my number again as I do have caller ID and if they call again I will file a lawsuit for harassment.  Needless to say they hung up.  I worked in the telemarketing business before and know that if you tell them not to call you again and they do, you may press charges

This is Morgan Drexen, a law firm. Their other numbers are:
(866) 250-4323
(800) 868-1458
(213) 504-7050

Their other corporate names are:
consumserv
National Debt Reduction Center
Northside

However, they are NOT what they seem- it is a scam, and in fact not even a law firm (http://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/0/336/ripoff0336996.htm). Their own website (http://www.morgandrexen.com/) even says they are NOT a debt comsolidation company. If they call you, call the FCC and file a complaint immedately.

I didn't answer because I don't answer phone numbers I don't recognize/not expecting.  They left a voicemail with the same message above about "we talked before" and I qualify for a $1000 line of credit at 0% interest.  Yes, it is a scam but also I'm not borrowing anything from anyone.  Pay as you go!!

I have been getting these same calls for over three or four months at my work.  It's the Charles Berry guy with the same recorded message.  I registered my work number with the do not call list several times to get this to stop and I stil keep getting the calls.  I have requested several times for the number to be taken off their list......still get calls.  They hang up on me when I ask them to take me off.  They hang up on me when I ask them the name of the company.  They hang up on me every time I ask or say anything other than that I want more information on debt relief.  Anyone consider filing a class-action lawsuit?
