I mean i only got 100 bucks out of 300 bucks

I told them i will pay but they want me to pay it all at one time they told me that they do not have payment plans and if i dont pay they will give me five years in jail and a felony i got a loan for 300 BUCKS I ONLY GOT 200 BUCKS OUT OF IT WELL MY BANK ACCOUNT GOT CLOSED AND THATS WHY THEY SAID THEY CAN GIVE ME FIVE YEARS AND A FELONY

No you cannot go to jail for unpaid debt but you can be sued if the debt is not beyond the statute of limitations for suing to collect in your state provided they can a) prove you owe the debt and b) that they have the legal right to collect the debt in your state.  Threatening jail or arrest over debt is a violation of Federal Law (Fair Debt Collection Practices Act) and they can be sued and fined.  If you do have an unpaid debt contact the original company you owe to see if you can make payment arrangements or who they have turned the debt over to.  If your debt has been sold you will have to deal with the current legal owner of that debt if it is not beyond the statute of limitations on suing to collect to prevent being sued.  Even if it is beyond the limit, you should try to pay what you owe.

These peoole called me today talking about if i dont pay i will go to jail for five years and i will have a felony  cam they do that or they just wants me to pay the money

GOT a call from APTELLA  DID.  The caller was a lady, said she was Mrs. Romney.  She can kiss my _SS!

Just order everything they want to sell you. Then when it comes time to pay tell them you have no credit card and no money. Keep 'em on-line as long as you can. Eventually, they'll catch on and take your number off their call list.

The caller ID shows the name: Aptella - DID.  I have put them on my "do not call list" through my carrier, yet they just keep calling from different numbers.  Aggravating.

I suffer the self imposed inconvenience of never picking up the phone when I dont recognize the called ID. If it is someone genuine, a family member or friend they will call back or actually leave a message saying who they are. As I said, its inconvience to ignore the phone until you are fairly sure it is a genuine call but its preferable to having a back and forth with these telephone criminals.
  I was that even pickup the phone gives them the info that they have a genuine number to call back on.
Just do not answer if you dont know who they are.

Got a call from this number.

The caller ID showed up as APTELA - DID but the number was 813-283-5938. The guy said that he was calling regarding a personal legal matter & when I called him back he refused to give me his name or the company that he worked at. I can't really tell whether it was a scam or not but the guy was very suspicious.

I found out the following info on "PUBLISHER'S HEADQUARTERS:"

Ok, I am a telemarketer, and I've heard alot about this company!
They ARE scammers. Their real name is NOT United Readers' Service. In reality, they don't have any real name because they change it so regularly. They use other company names. There is a company called "United Readers' Service" located out of Cleveland. But this particular company goes by "Publishers Headquarters", "Sweepstakes Office" etc. etc. They get some simple information on you (unknown how to me) then try and use it against you by saying you owe money to thier company from such and such monthes ago. Tell them to SEND DOCUMENTATION stating the "service" you have with your authorization on it. They wont be able to. They'll just hang up.
In all actuality, they're really beginning to upset me, because they are giving a really BAD reputation on other companies, such as mine!
I'm sorry you had such a bad experience. We're not all bad guys.

I got a call from this number, CALLER ID said APTELA - DID. He said he was from PUBLISHER'S HEADQUARTERS in TORRANCE, CA. I asked if he meant "PUBLISHER'S CLEARINGHOUSE?" He said "NO" and claimed he had never heard of them!! (WHAT??) The person said I'm in the running for some sweepstakes, wanted to confirm my address, I asked how he got my number, he said it was related to a credit card I carry. I gave him a PO BOX address, BUT he already had my home address. I started to ask him questions.  I asked him for HIS address, he claimed he didn't know the actual address because he was new!!!(?) I said that was ridiculous. I tried to ask him more questions and he hung up on me!
