Caller told me I had been entered into a sweepstakes and began to ask some info and tried to get me to sign up for mags and free watch. I declined and ended the call.

Scammers called and tried to pretend to be a know person

close the account  or  close the debt card out my wife got scammed  like that to  never ever ever and if you did not understand that  never ever  give out any banking info  to any one over the phone

rep called and called me by my first name! no proper business starts a call like that.  I express that since she was not a friend of my she should not address me as such and do not call my house.  she called back and said i was rude (duh).  so i gave her a few choice words and hung up.  the dummy continued to dial my number, i believe that's harrassment.

they changed the number  new no.310-539-7139 keeps calling back

received the call on Sunday and they had everything, name, address etc.  Sounded like a pretty good deal so I said okay and gave them the info they needed (STUPID) but when they said they had to have the first months payment of $39.90 upfront I tolded them to forget it and to cancel the order.  I was assured by Lazette that everything would be voided without a problem.  got to work Monday morning and checked my account balance.  SURPRISE, $39.90 had be taken from my account.  The telephone no I was given (310) 539-7193 doesn't answer.  They told me this was a 48 month suscription, how can I stop further payments?

hung up also when i didnt want the mags.but they still call me.i guess if they figure they keep trying with new people i might be a dumbass

The person from a 'publisher's company' said my name and address and asked me to verify after telling me that I'm eligible for a bank/credit card company sweepstakes.  After I replied, the call was cut short (unintentionally or intentionally?).  I don't know what happened, but wonder if they had some of my  private info and wanted to confirm who I was and where I lived for some sort of scam/id theft.

The same woman call my mother and make fun of her because she couldn't understand everything she was saying, but now they are using the number 310-539-7196, I try to call back but no answer, I hope she reads this reports, because she is an stupid person, find a real job, idiot!

stupid woman calls my house,my 10 yr old daughter answered and lady talked to her asked for my husband and said she was his friend!!!!...of corse he was at wrk but i got pissed.....how dare they !!! i think theese a$$holes outta lose there licence or buisness!!!! this is so ridiculouse...just 4 stupid magazine sales....................and yes i prob spelled things wrong but im pissed!!!!!OOPS...MAD!!!

received a call from this number (310-539-7197)... they left no msg.  googled it & got these results.  not going to return the call.

Caller said I was a finalist in a sweepstakes and would be notified by mail if I was the winner.  Confirmed my mailing address, then moved to the magazine sales pitch.  He promptly ended the call when I said was not interested in the magazine subscriptions.

5/9/09, 3:11 PM.  Caller ID= "Ellis Isl Funding".  Said I was in the running for $25K and they were from publisher clearing.  They wanted to verify my address and asked if this was OK.  I said "no it's not ok".  They ask if I wanted to be removed from the drawing.  My answer, YES!

running a scam against a family member and should be investigated.  Should not agree to any  interest.

Said I was in running for $25,000 in sweeps - then did mag pich.........hung up, when I said not interested in mag.

Got the same call.............hung up, when I said I did not want any magazines.

person called claiming to be from publisher's clearing house.  said I was a finalist to win $25k or other prizes and I would be receiving free magazines.  told her I was not interested in the mags, did not get upset.  very professional sounding.  asked me my age and other questions to see if I was able to pay the tax on the winnings.  didn't ask me for any credit card info, social security #, anything too personal.  I still felt like it was not really pch so I declined everything and ended the call.  turns out the real pch is closed today as it is saturday.  I think this person is trying to scam people.

recd call, they had my name & address, husband ok'd free mags (dumb), found other info on this company but a different phone #, waiting to see what happens now.
according to other info on this comp my husband was told the same thing about free mags and sweepsteaks.
pressed *57 to report the nuber to my phone comp.
