I'm in the military and my senior chief told us about a scam going on right now. They call once and hang up and if you call back it automatically charges you like 50 dollars. So I'm not planning on calling back any unknown numbers.

Yep one ring. If I hadn't of been looking at my phone at the time I probably would have missed it. It says Beverly Hills, CA. I don't know anyone in Beverly Hills, CA. Definitely not calling that number back. Looked it up on here first and saw how many people had gotten a call from them. Scammers Suck!

The joke would be on them then if I tried calling back, as I'm on a Tracfone prepaid plan. I haven't tried to call back, but Tracfone assures me that the call would not be allowed to go through even if I did fall for it. I'm guessing other prepaid plans would also work the same way, but I don't really know.

Just looked into this number further.
It is a LandLIne owned by bandwidth.com
it appears to be an Internet type of number like Skype or google phone etc. (voip)

Also got the call on my cell.
After reading this thread and googling the number, its obviously a scammer of some type.
Appears to be coming from a cell phone number and also appears to be coming via Verizon Wireless.
Tried calling the number back using a Skpye phone number with the caller ID blocked, no rings, just immediately goes to a generic voicemail with the recorded announcement in a female voice with a British sounding accent.

Just got a call from this number @9:22PM here in upper Michigan. Rang so quick I didn't even hear a ring, just saw my screen light up. Didn't answer it but when I clicked on my screen I accidentally called them back but I don't think the call connected. Darn iPhone!!

3/31/2014 One ring no message left. People if the number doesn't show up as someone from your contact list DON'T CALL THEM BACK. If its important they will leave a message. Shouldn't the phone companies be able to stop these calls or is it they are making money off of the calls.

Got a call on my cell phone. They were offering $100 voucher for wal-mart, and best-buy and also a $25 dining voucher. After giving them my address they then asked me for my debit/credit card info which I denied. I also questioned the caller about their security and how they ensure costumers info is safe and he couldn't give me a direct answer. Then they asked me a bunch of questions about why i was skeptical and when I asked to speak to a supervisor the guy was a jerk about. I asked for more info about the company and later found out they gave me a phony company name and number. DO NOT give them your personal information.
