When I called the number back it gave me a machine that gave me the option of taking my number off their calling list.  I took it.  We'll see if it actually stays off the list.

They have called me several times.  I pressed 1 as if interested and asked the person that finally answered who they were and why they were calling - they hung up on me.  They are out of Compton, CA. IT IS A SCAM.  they same phone number is used for fake car warranties, Mortgage scams and credit card scams.  alls they are after is your CC # and expiration date and/or SS #.

They called. Did not leave any message. Called back. Recorded announcement saying to press "1" if I wished to be removed from their preferred calling list.  Could not do this as I was not returning the call from the number they called me on.

I just received a call (Sept. 21, 2009 11:30 AM Mountain) from 310-599-9141 at my work phone with a recorded announcement that I am eligible to have my credit card interest rate reduced and if I were interested to press 1 to talk with the next available agent or press 9 to have the number removed. I pressed 1 and talked with a man with a difficult accent. He told me that because of my current payment history I am eligible to get the interest rate on all of my credit cards reduced. When asked how much credit card debt I had I told him about $350; he acted surprised I did not have more than $5,000 in credit card debt, when I told him I no longer had that much he simply hung up.

I was hoping to lead him on further to find out what information they specifically request, but that was unsuccessful. Regardless of the ?scenario? this caller ID represents, as it seems there are multiple ?scams? being used from this number; I am not stupid enough to provide any personal or financial information to anyone that calls me. Unfortunately they called my work number and I do not have the authority to add the number to the ?Do Not Call? list or have this number blocked out of our PBX.

I got a call from 310-599-9141 today 09/18/09.  I was out of the house & heard the phone ring so I answered it without looking at the caller ID because I was expecting to hear from someone.  It turned out to be a woman's voice trying to sell me some sort of credit card protection.  I am on the "No Solicitations" list with my bank so I know it couldn't be from them.  I recently moved and changed my phone number and I have never received so many of these unsolicited calls.  In addition I'm on the "Do Not Call Registry" and my 30 days should have taken effect by now.  I just called this number back and a women's voice announced "Thank you for calling back.  If you do not wish to receive any more calls from the number please push 1."  I did this and a man's voice confirmed I was off the list but they never ever identified who they are and I find this to be disturbing since I'm already on the "Do Not Call List."  I believe it's some kind of sneaky way to get around technicalities and escape being sued.

You can't stop them. I played with them and wanted their physical address so I could come by in person. They hung up on me, I dialed back and it was already a wrong number. I get calls from all different area codes. There are no offices. They only take your money and you are hosed.

This number called my cell this afternoon. No voicemail left. When I called it back I got a recording saying if I no longer wished to receive calls about special deals and products to press "1" to be placed on their "do not call list". No company name or any type of identification was said in the recording.

I am getting these recorded calls all the time.  How can we stop these calls?  It is a recording stating that my car warranty is up for renewal.

It is a scam.  I get this call on both my cell phones.  I tried the FTC and reported the call, although there is little I could answer in their list of questions.  I could give them this number and the scam idea that was it.

After attempting to press one to be "removed from the list" and still receiving countless calls, I hit another number to be assisted by a telemarketer/con artist.  He was angry when I asked how I should be truley removed from the list.  He quickly disconnected me after yelling at me to, "have a nice day."  He seemed in a big hurry and very angry for me wasting his time.  SO... Here is my idea.  We all chose the option to talk to a person who can assist us.  Then we waste his time like there is no tomorrow.  We talk on and on making him think he will have a sale.  We give fake information to keep him on the line, then add bits and pieces about our trip to Virginia with Uncle Harry last june.  Pretend that he is a great friend that you just have to share this funny story with as you slowly drive him crazy and waste his time.  He deserves it.  He's a piece of crap.

The only way to stop them is by filing complaints with the FTC.gov and putting all your phone numbers on the no call registry.. Filing complaints with the no call registry is the same thing as with the FTC I think, just that you have to wait 30 days after you sign your phone numbers up for it to use the do not call list's complaint forms directly...

they called my cell and didn't say anything either, on these posts some people say that they're issuing car warranties, well my car is 17 years old, at this point a warrenty isn't needed.

Didn't recognize the number, so I didn't answer it because it was the second unrecognized call I got today - the other one hung up, I figured this would be the same.  No voice mail from them.
