I received this call too.  I'm in NY.  Didn't recognize the number, they didn't leave a message.    thank you for posting the info.

Unwanted telemarketing about "my credit card"

An automated call advising users that they have been selected to lower their credit card interest rate.  User can either press key to speak with an agent, or 2 to stop receiving these notifications.  

Problem is that they never specify the Bank or the card.  Just Visa (or Mastercard) which most of the general public has.  Once you start speaking with the live person, they want all your personal identity information.  

Just copied another persons comments because my experience was the same   They hung up on me when I called them on it and couldn't call them back  their # came up on my caller ID from the Los Angles area

This is a credit card scam!

This happened to me as well. They stated I had a balance of over $3,000 on my credit card. Problem is, I don't have any credit cards. BUSTED! DO NOT PROVIDE THESE PEOPLE WITH YOUR INFORMATION.

Stop calling my number!

Just got a call on my cell.....I hung up before end of call.

I received a call from this number saying they could help with my credit cards. I pressed the number to speak to them and a lady came on, I asked what she could do for me. She replied, help to pay off credit card balances. I asked, how? She said I could send $1500 and they would take care of the balances. I then replied, I don't understand. She went thru a whole thing about how they make deals with the credit card companies, etc, etc. This went on for about 8 minutes. I then asked how that would help me when I have no credit cards. I loved wasting her time too. LOL!

In Maryland and received this call at 8:41AM (call me before 9AM, and I'm REALLY angry).  Did not answer and no message was left.  Yes, I know that anything that registers on caller ID with a state's name, i.e., CALIFORNIA, is a scam.  I guess they must get a lot of naïve people to keep this going, since I've never fallen for their scams.

Called CELL PHONE, even tho it's on NO CALL LIST unable to answer and. Left no message  Glad to know I only missed a    'SPAM" call

Received call in Western Chicago suburbs on my cell at 10:35 AM. No message left. I am furious that there is scam/spam phone calls on cells too.

Add me to the list of people who received a call from the number. No message left on my voice mail. When I tried to return the call, it rang busy. I don't like the fact that they used my cell number, which I typically don't put out there.

called me today a few minutes ago, I sent it straight to voicemail since i didn't know the number. They left no message.

Thanks for the info, they called me also and I did not pick up, nor did they leave a voicemail.

Similar to other calls I receive frequently from different numbers on the same subject, assuring me, "...please consider this your final notice..."

** Yeah, I wish.**

Their total disregard of the Do Not Call list certainly tells us a lot about their business practices, doesn't it?

I also have to laugh at their poor grammar, particularly the singular "there's" with the plural noun "problems"...

There's no problems currently with your accounts, it is urgent, however, that you contact us concerning your eligibility for lowering your interest rate to as little as 6.9%. Your eligibility expires shortly so please consider this your final notice. Please press 1 now on your phone to speak with a live operator and lower your interest rate. Or press 2 to discontinue further notices. Thank you and have a great day."

Calling to lower your credit card- scam

They just called my cellphone in the other room. Didn't pick up in time, but wouldn't have answered if I'd had the chance, since it was an unknown area code (turns out to be L.A.)  Naturally, caller left no voicemail message.  Now I wonder if these were the same creeps who've been calling the landline recently (caller ID only says "private caller" but I answered once just out of curiosity & it was this recording about lowering CC interest rates; I hung up w/o pressing anything.)  Thanks for confirming my suspicions.  Sheesh, I don't even like "legitimate" unsolicited calls...
