This number, 310-831-1141, called my house. when I answered they did not answer and I waited until they hung up. I called back to inform them how rude it is to make a call and then not answer then I hung up on them. The woman called back and her exact words were "do not call back just because you want the last word" and before I could even say anything she hung up on me. so of course I called back. she answered and immediately said "this call was for keith not you" then hung up on me again. I have not been able to get a hold of them yet but I've been trying for hours to speak with their superviser. Hearst inc is rude and needs better employees.

Same thing as everyone else, a woman calls up says that she's from Publishers Clearing House ask me for my address to clarify and goes through how much I make a year what my address is and if I'm married. When I tell her that I do not need any on magazines cause I don't have time I get hung up on.

A young-sounding girl called from a company she called "Publishers" saying, also, that I was a finalist in a $25,000 prize for paying my bills on time. She asked to verify my address, and then did correctly state my address. I asked where she recieved my information; She told me from either a bank or credit card company and that she didn't know which. She offered magazine subscriptions that were going to be "free", but I later asked if I would be charged and she said $3.99. Then offered a free watch. She then asked my income to be sure I could afford the gift taxes in case I won. I told her at that time I was not interested in ANY of it and to remove my name from any list.

I have very similar experiences with these people. In the last month or so I have been called about 50 times by a few different numbers that were very similar. Today i decided to answer and tell them to stop calling but I couldnt get a word in. I also live in Austin. She knew my name, address and obviously my cell phone number. She said I won free magazines and a diamond watch. I let the convo play out. Answered some questions and waited for her to ask for my credit card number. she didnt ask and we hung up. about 5-10 min later the number called back and I was busy. They called about 20 times throughout the day until I finally answered. She said she was the first ladies supervisor but she sounded exactly the same. She wanted my credit card number to pay for one of the magazines. I told her I wasnt comfortable giving out that info so she spouted off about how her company "United Readers" was accredited by the BBB and had a ranking of "A". Needless to say, they don't. The BBB has no ranking or accreditation for them. I told her I still didnt want to and that I thought the mags were free. She started arguing with me so I told her the convo was over and never to call me again.

a woman called me and told me i was a finalist in a sweepstakes. and that i won this free diamond watch and so mags. she told me my address and asked my age. asked if i was married and what did i did for a living? what my husband did for a living? and how much money we made a month? then told me that someone would call me back with a tracking number to get my mags for $3.99. another woman called back and said she need my credit card number or a checking account to withdrawn the $3.99. i told her that i didn't have a credit card or checking. she hung up on me. these people are calling from the los angeles area. their numbers are: 310-831-1141/310-241-0575. don't me fooled.

Got a call this evening from "Publishers..." something or other, about being entered in a drawing for $25k and a cruise or something like that. She wanted to verify my address because "if you're the winner they send you the notification by certified mail", and she read of my exact address to me. She then went on to say something about free magazine subscriptions (Glamour, Cosmo, etc). Then she asked how the weather is in Austin & said that in California it's been very hot also & they've only had 1/8" rain this year. Then she said that they like to know some personal information about the contestants & asked me my age. At that point, I told her I was on my cell & it was charging me minutes, to call me after 7 pm my time. She said she would... and the number actually just called me back but this time I didn't answer. Looks like it only rang twice & no VM was left.

Was called on my cellphone today by call a woman who said she was from "Publishers". She said that I was a finalist in a $25,000 drawing and that she needed to verify my address so they could notify me with a letter. She then read my correct address back to me and said that I was entitled to some free magazine subscriptions. (I wouldn't have subscribed to any magazines even if they reallu were free but I decided to hear her out and see what she was up to. She said that "Publishers" wanted to get to know their winners and then asked my age. At that point I told her my dog just escaped and I had to get off the phone. She wished me a good day and hung up.
