I received a phone call on my cell and at work saying the same thing as everyone else.  I was going to be arrested unless I paid $300.00 today because of a loan I took and they had been trying to reach me and it needed to be paid today.  Every question I asked he seemed to be adding to his story.  He said that I was a federal criminal and that I would be arrested at work on Monday and would spend 30 days in jail.  I told him to arrest me because I had proof that I didn't have $300.00 deposited into my account by American Cash.  Try again......  and good luck to them.

Okay, by law they are only allowed to call to leave a message 1 time a day regarding collections that means they would need to choose which # to leave the message.
When they called me I simply told them that I had already connected with the FBI regarding their threating phone call and the lady said that is great I will start legal action right away, I told her to go for it and she hung up. Then I called back and they won't answer now. Good Luck to them.

I received a phone call from this number today and he said the police would be coming to serve me an arrest warrant at my job or at home on Monday if I did not make a payment today by a cash voucher. The did not want a check or debit card which is one of the most popular ways to pay today. I admitt I was afraid at first but then the news report regarding scammers ran through my head as he talked so I called an attorney friend of mine.

This sounds very similar to an online scam, a malware program that locks your computer and demands that you go to one of those locations to get an unlock code.  Fortunately Windows(r) was able to get rid of it and I stopped going to the websites it came from.  Online, on the 'phone, same rule:  NEVER do what these jerks are saying!  Like paying a blackmailer, it will only make it worse.

Received a call saying they needed to talk to my attorney and if I didn't have one that Friday I will be getting arrested at my work place and be held for a week until the following Friday when they take me to court.  If I didn't want to get arrested on Friday I needed to go to a CVS, Walgreens or Walmart and put $1010.89 on a green-dot reloading card.  I asked were they are calling from and who is the company that is prosecuting this and he said he couldn't give me that information.  It was very hard to understand him with his heavy accident  
FYI they knew all my information even my work address

Can I ask you if you have applied for any loans lately. I have a coworker have samething happen calling her work and cell. We are trying to find out how they are getting information.  This is the only thing that would make sense. I have called number repeatedly to get answers and no its ringing busy as if it does not exist.

Wednesday - Received very disturbing call at my work stating that I would be arrested on Friday if I did not go to my local CVS, Walmart or Rite Aid and pay $1263.16 in cash. I would not be able to pay it by card because they already put an alert out to my bank. They said they were also recording all phone calls made to and from my house, cell phone and work phone. After I hung up, "Richard" called back and demanded to speak with my manager to let them know that I would be arrested at my place of employment on Friday and that I should be fired because I was a thief and was writing fraudulent checks. I finally handed the phone to my manager who got very demanding back with him, requesting information fro him. He abruptly hung up and the phone calls stopped! As a side note, he knew my social security number, address, telephone number, what bank I was using and my work address and telephone number.

Received phone call from Shane Richardson from Keieh and Clark Law Firm (did he mean Keith, but did not know how to spell well). He had an East Indian accident. He said it's in regards to a legal matter and lawsuit that's being filed against me in my state. I then asked him for the name of the case and he told me that he cannot give me that information. He then proceeded to ask me for my information; name, date of birth, address, etc. I then firmly told him no, that I was not going to give out my personal information. I figured if this was a real law firm then they would know how to get my information if needed and if they were a real law firm then they would know there are certain steps you have to take in the State of California before you sue someone. Not "download the lawsuit in your State," as he said. After telling him no and hanging up, he then called me back 6 more times back-to-back. I turned off my ringer and let the calls go to voicemail. DEFINITELY A SCAM. IF WE WOULD HAVE KEPT OUR JOBS IN AMERICA, AMERICANS WOULD NOT HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT  BEING SCAMMED...just sayin'...

I have gotten the same harassing phone call also as in the previous message

I just got a voice mail from some guy who said he is Robert Smith and said I need to call him back right away and said he need my attorney information too. And said if I did call him best of luck to me as it un folds on me. He had accent didn't speak very good English either. Had my boyfriend listen to the voice mail as well my boyfriend said scam too. This people need to be STOP NOW I MEAN IT I HAVE NOT GOT A CLL IN  ALONG TIME MY CELL PHONE EITHER. BUT MY CELL PHONE NUMBE RIS NO ON ANY WEDSITES I AHVE EITHER SO HOW DO THEY GET IT? AND THE NUMBER SAID IT FROM CALIFORNIA NOW?

Robert Smith is who he claimed to be on my voicemail. Strong accent, threatening message, pretty much same as already stated.

I received a call today from this guy saying he was John Smith. I think their calling from India. He told me he will be visiting my job tomorrow to serve me. I have received so many calls from India. All different phone numbers. Please don't trust them. I called the Attorney General office and gave them all the phne numbers to these people. I SAY IT ONCE AND AGAIN THESE PEOPLE ARE TRYING TO DESTROY THE AMERICANS HERE IN THE UNITED STATES (BE VERY CAREFUL). i believe the information is coming off your websites. These prople are hackers sitting in other countries. It's hard stopping them.

Total Indian extortionist scam.  Ignore 'em.  The "good luck" phrase is a dead giveaway that it's a phony debt collectors.    As well as the accent.

I received the same phone call and the person Jeff Thomas left a voicemail asking me to call him back and that if I don't then all he can say is best of luck to me
And then he called my work and told the girl who answers the phone that it was in regards to a legal emergency
The person didn't speak very good English and seems to me it's just another scam to get people's information
If it was a legit emergency as he put it then they would need to say what agency and what it's about

I received a threatening phone call not only on my cell phone but at work as well from this number! The guy that called wouldn't tell me what it was in regards to just that they would send the cops to my work and home if I didn't do what needed to be done by Monday. They had been trying to reach me is what he said which is crap considering I've been in the same area for 3 years now! He kept asking me if I had an attorney but wouldn't tell me what for! When I hung up on him for being an a***ole he called my cell phone and left a threatening message on it as well!
