I too recently had some service at a Hyundai deal for my Santa Fe.
It would be nice if they could provide you a way to opt out of their surveys.

The survey is for Hyundai, the calls are made by a company contracted by Hyundai.  They also send paper surveys out as well as phone calls, and which one you get will be randomly decided.  Just answer and tell them how your service was, it's like 3 or 4 questions and takes less than 5 minutes, and they won't call after that.  It took you longer than that to look up the number on this website and post your complaint.  It's not market research so much as it is customer feedback so Hyundai can find out where it needs to improve as far as customer service goes.  People sure don't mind complaining about crappy service, but then don't want to answer and tell them so when the company calls to get your feedback.  If they DIDN'T call, then all of you would be complaining about how Hyundai doesn't want to hear from its customers.  Geez.

I don't mind answering surveys. Being in retail myself, I understand the value of customer service. My complaint is not telling me my cell phone number would be used for this purpose. I cannot answer my cell phone at work, they leave no message....

I have called 866-320-4607 and added my cell phone to the do not call list.

I agree with Philip from 2007. By giving the dealership your phone number, you have given the Hyundai corporation your phone number. If they had given it out to another organization, say a satellite TV company, that would be illegal.

It's just a customer service survey, and I have used it several times to report both good and unsatisfactory results from my dealings with my local Hyundai dealership and have seen changes in the service I receive based on my comments.

If you answer the phone and just talk to the person for a minute, they don't call again.

Harassing and threatening the person at the survey organization is not the solution. It just makes you look like a lunatic and doesn't create anything other than a hostile environment. Those people are just doing the job they are instructed to. If you have a problem with receiving these calls, speak directly with the service representative at your dealership the next time you take in your car. They may be able to provide you with information about opting out of survey calls.

I got two calls from (310) 862-9009 this evening. Nobody says anything when I answer the phone.  Nobody left a message, either. Strange.  Thanks for identifying this as Hyundai.  Yes, I also have a Hyundai and just recently had interaction with the dealership.

I recently traded in my old Hyundai and bought a new one.  I keep getting calls from these numbers.  The big problem is that when I answered the first three no one was on the other end.  After  a few times I quit answering my phone.  The calls just keep coming!  How do I get them to quit if I can't talk to them?

I live in South Florida - the 310 area code is in the Los Angeles area - don't you think they would get a hint that if I live in SouthFlorida I would not be getting my car serviced in L.A?  They never leave a message, but if I call the number back, there is a message that it is Hyundai calling about my recent service - I don't own a Hyundai - I have a Lexus.  They just keep calling and calling and never leave a message after 10:00 pm at night.  I called and left a message on the service department phone to STOP calling me or I would report them to the FCC for harrassment calling so late at night on a cell phone registered on the DoNot Call list.

Seems as though the few who support getting called by this research company have a rather defensive attitude about it but they ignore the bulls**t way that they go about calling us:

1. No message, some of us can't answer the phone when they call. For me it's always 9AM.  My work schedule is such that I'm not awake at this time.

2. Apparently sometimes when people answer, they hang up or don't say anything. (Automation gone wrong apparently).

3. They never give up calling...

Those three reasons alone should have EVERYONE agreeing that it's not cool

No, I should NOT be subjected to this phone call, but whatever I can deal with it, answer the phone, say 'no thanks', or take the survey.  But don't act like I'm supposed to take the survey.  I don't care if it's five minutes or two hours, it's my time and my decision how to use it.

I get calls from this number every day. I've only been home once when they called and they assured me they would not call anymore. But every morning about 9, my caller ID lists them. I tried calling the number but I get a recording saying they will call again in a day or two.  I don't have a Hyundai and don't appreciate all these calls.

I started to get continuous calls from this number after my Hyundai was serviced. I called the number back and the recorded message said it was Hyundai doing a survey on my recent service and they would call me back; they indicated no way to contact them. I called Hyundai Customer Service at 1-800-633-5151 to complain. The rep told me that Hyundai does not do telephone follow-up surveys, they only use mailings or email. They could find no record of this number and she said they don't contract with outside companys for surveys. They opened up a file and are going to investigate and I'll call in a couple of weeks to follow-up. I would encourage all to call Hyundai customer service directly to complain.

I made a follow-up call to Hyundai and this time they told me that they do indeed contract with companies such as Synovate to do phone surveys. I told them that Synovates constant calling and call hang-ups are tarnishing Hyundais reputation.

I did find out that Hyundai has an "opt-out" so that you can opt out of phone calls, emails, or mail from Hyundai. Call them at 800-633-5151 and "opt-out".

I called Synovate at 866-320-4607 and "opted-out" from them calling me, too.

It's been almost 2 weeks and no more calls!
