This is most likely a robo call -

They have automated machines make these calls so they know what time you will pick up the phone.  they will then have a real person call you and harass you at a future date.

Just don't pick up for numbers you don't know folks....

I got a call from this # today.They didn't left message.

Rang and stopped before I could answer.  Last call from them, using Google Voice's option to block which sends the telco, "disconnected number" message.

Just got this call 9:53pm EST on 11/21/2013 when I answered on the first ring it hung right up. I have no clue who it is.

This is the third time that I have "won a gift card" from this company, along with savings bonds deposited directly into my savings account! Lucky me! Apparently opting out after the second call didn't work, and the government doesn't check the complaints at all because I have complained everytime. Pretty annoying when you keep getting scam calls in class, so much for companies not being able to call you. I feel like this national do not call list is just as much of a scam.

Complaining on this site helps others know about bad callers but you need to then file an official complaint to The Do Not Call registry at https://complaints.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx . I just did and when enough others file complaints it will cost them.

Flashed on my screen, then almost immediately said missed call, 4:06 EST. What is the point of the Do Not Call list? I get more calls being on it then I did when I wasn't

The government should Legalize the Hunting & Killing of Telemarketers and Scammers with Open Season being Year Round, possibly with cash rewards for eliminating them.

This would go a long way towards reducing these annoying calls.

some foreigner was on the line telling me that I won a prize and in order to receive it, I have to pay $9.99 for shipping. SPAM!

The number shoed up in my cell phone, but I never heard it ring.  That's weird.  I'm not calling it back either.

Scammers they tell you that you won something just to get your name, address, debit card info. It's a phishing scam

The number called and only rang once and hung up so I called back and it was Julie with rewards redemption and it was an automated system. I'm thinking it's a scam. I haven't had this cell phone (and new number) for very long and haven't handed it out to many people.

I got a call to my cell phone from 310-879-1479.  Internet info says its from Gardena, California and it is some telemarketer.  
They left no message and I never heard the phone ring.  Weird.  They aren't supposed to call cell phones, but they do it anyway.  If I get a cell phone call and its not from my area code or a number I recognize, I never answer.  If they are legit., they will leave a voicemail message.  

it rang once... I called it"the number" 310-879-1479 back and JULIE with "reward redemption" an Auto answer system of course no humans would dare answer that line
anyways it  claimed that I used one of their web sites and provided my number to them ....
complete BULL no one has my number that I do not personally know period......
