Talking with them right now. Spanish telemarketers based in California. I received a call weeks ago. After the "Licenciada" hung up on me upon realizing she was not getting a sale, I continued to receive prank calls for about a couple weeks. The caller would not speak; upon answering the caller would hang up. Sometimes I was asked to press 1 if I was interested, so one day I dialed 1 to advise someone to place me on the do not call list. When I mentioned do not call, the caller hung up. So I hoped they might have placed me on the list without the benefit of an answer. Lo and behold, they have called me again, only to offer a 3-month supply of vitamin supplements at a "discounted rate" of $179. This caller was educated and professional, so I stayed on the line to verify their legitimacy. After the presentation, the caller passed me to "General Director" of the company, I was so honored! He mentioned the brand name is Alfa Vitamins and assured me these products are 100% natural, as I am a vegan. I agreed to a 6-month supply for the same low price of $179, IF they would only show me their website or facebook page, an address, something to prove their legitimacy. We hung up on good terms. I am sure I will get a call back once they think of something better to try to convince me. I am visiting the http://www.donotcall.gov site next.

Scam calling about lowering youyr credit card interest rates

Recorded msg about lowering your credit card rates. I pressed 9 for a rep who answered "Account services, how can I help you today?" I only got to "I'd like to request you take my number off your..." before she hung up on me." I guess I'll report it, and hope for the best.

receiving calls now from 310-986-9762 -another scam group just got rid of the 302-747-7777- added both to my call block thru my local phone company  .this touch star service costs me around 7 a month to block the last call ive received ,but the only way to stop the calls from these low life scam artists  and so on.

card services, scam I told to take me off the list, but insisted on calling back.

I am on a no call list, yet this number got through, and hangs up. They are continually calling.
It makes it difficult on senior citizens!

Got call from this number. Pressed 9 to talk to someone about "lowering my credit card interest rate." Told Amanda I didn't want to be called. She said my credit card company (didn't know which one) asked them to call me to get a better rate.

Calling about credit... HUNG UP after hearing "credit". Total SPAMMMMMMMm.

Funny.  I have NO credit cards and still get these calls.  I also stayed on the line and told the person to stop calling.  They got very rude with me, calling me names, etc.  I just hung up.  They are now calling my cell phone.  I have an android and downloaded a nifty  little program called Mr. Number with which you can block any call of your choosing.  I recommend it.

l have a caller ID AD 100 unit from B.E.L-Tronics Limited that gives me the ability to put annoying, anon, and my mother-in-law's phone number on the "eternal damnation list" by simply pressing the reject button. Once l reject a call, the person on the other end of the line will hear something like "l'm sorry, but this caller wishes to not receive calls from you. Good bye" and then ends the call.  l also have a privacy call blocker on my line that rejects all private calls or unknown calls with unknown name, unknown number. Love it! And keeps my phone quiet when l'm enjoying quality family time, especially during dinner!

Got a call from them.  It is an identy theft ring.  Guys in the background laughing and I heard someone laughing saying "I got a sucker, run these numbers!"  Yep, that sounds real legit?

This number calls my house 5x a day. No one is there and no message left. I believe they use other numbers as well. There is no way to stop them nut ignore. But hard to ignore the constant ringing. Help!

this number called my cell. when i found out what they wanted, i hung up.  they almost immediately call our landline and said if i wanted 2 speak 2 live person, press 9. i pressed 9. operator came on line and asked if i was interested in lowering interest rate on credit cards (don't have any) i said no i want my cell & this # off ur list.  the answer 2 my demand was DEAD AIR.  rude people just make me laugh.

Just got a call from this number. Didn't answer. But thought it was my husband who is in the hospital in CA. Luckily I checked on here before doing anything. I tried to call the number back and nothing happends. It doesn't even ring!! Pretty strange. These people need to get a life and stop harassing innocent people!

Just got this call today.  I've found that if you submit your number to the Attorney General in your state and the state of the caller it gets a lot more done for getting it shut down.  Just Google "Attorney General" and your state name.  You should be able to search 'do not call' in their website and then submit a complaint.

There is an App for that, that number has called me a few times, I have an app on my Android cell phone that keeps it from ringing my phone. These scmmers will never reach me!

called me but I did not pick up.  I checked my vmail afterward, and it's only 2 seconds with no voice except it sounds like someone is flipping their papers, etc.
Please do me a favor by if you happen to pick up the call, BE REAL NICE WITH THEM BUT WRITE DOWN EVERYTHING FROM NAME, DATE, TIME, WHAT'S THE PURPOSE OF THE CALL, ETC.
If you are nice to them, they don't know that you have all your tools to chop them down.  Please do not swear, be real nice so you can spy on them.
After that, report it to the DO NOT CALL, contact the Attorney General in your State, if your area has a TV station that helps people, call them and explain the whole story.
The scammers know how to spoof email and phone number but we have to be smarter than them.  They will be locked up soon but in order to lock them up, you have to be nice to capture the info to report.
Now, let me show you my trick:
o  They call my cell phone even though it's in the DNC list.
o  I purchased the Voice over IP phone (I don't want to advertise this company) and then use this number in all unimportant matters like contests, etc.  This VoIP phone will send you an email with a .wav file attached.  This is so sweet.  Proof to take the scammer to court because nothing is stronger than you have a .wav file presented to the Judge.  For this VoIP phone number, you can announce your name, etc., to make it sound real professional BUT DO NOT set up your cell phone with any announcement.  Use the default system announcement.
I bet if all of us would read my trick above, we all can shut the scammers down so they will become a lover of someone 24x7 in a small cell.
There's a funny movie about the late actor drops the bar soap in the community bathroom and behind him is the big guy.  Yeah, all the scammers will be in this situation but in order to put them there, you have to be real nice like may I have your name, your company, where are you located at, etc., and never swear so you can pull as much info as you can from this scammer while s/he thinks that you are a new victim for the day.
That's how I fight back the scammers.  Scammer, spell backward is Remmacs, a new word in a new dictionary, meaning "RAM in the xSS."

Just got a call from this number and they reached my voicemail and did not leave a message.  We now have a phone that blocks unwanted calls and this number has now been added to our growing list.

Lower my credit card dept (blah, blah, blah)  Press 9 to speak to someone. I pressed nine and asked to be opt. out. He said "Then don't call me".. WTF? They called me. I average at least 3 to 4 calls from this pre-recorded message monthly.

Called early and didn't leave a message.  We are on the do not call list.

I always report it to the FTC, and I send a copy of the letter to the FTC to the spam caller - IF I have an address.

I don't know if it does any good but it makes me feel better.

I write rather than e-mail cuz I think a letter gets more attention.

Call from this number to my cell at 3:01pm EST.  Since I NEVER answer calls that don't identify themselves, I didn't answer.  No message was left either.

About a week after reporting this activity, I get a FEDERAL snailmail with a complaint number for tracking.  So far, I have not gotten any results beyond this...but at least someone is looking at it (I hope!)

I got a call from 310-986-9762 on my cell indicating a wireless phone call from Lomita, CA, The caller did not leave a message. This is very annoying. Verizon should be block 310-986-9762, since it indicates the number is wrong or changed

I received a call from 310-986-9762 at 1:14 PM PSA Feb 16, 2011. I didn't answer.

Why are people allowed to do that....put a BOGUS number in for their phone number?!?!?   Why doesn't the phone company STOP that?!??!
