Received a call from 312-340-5567.

Recording talked about switching electric companies for massive savings.

After being asked to press "1" to speak to a customer service rep or "2" to get removed from their calling list, I just hung up.

Just another telemarketer scammer.

I just read where a man from the UK sued the telemarketers for taking up his time and he won. The court made the company pay him for his used up time answering the phone to their calls. Maybe we ought to start doing that here in small claims court. Might stop these guys in a hurry if they thought they were going to have to pay for every minute they used of our time.

received 11 calls from this number in 2 minutes. ELEVEN!!

When I answer the call there is no one there. It is annoying. Repeats itself.

They call my work telephone number almost daily. I continue to press 1 to get them to stop but it continues. What does it take to get them to stop calling?

The only way to get these comopanies to STOP is to make it unprofitable. I have adopted the strategy to waste as much of there time as possible. I will keep them o the phone as long as I can. Set up appointments for their service, confirmm the appointment when they call, then when thye arrive at the door, tell them to kiss my a**. Let them know that everytime their company contacts me I will set up an appointment. So make sure they get me off the calling list. If many people do this, it will stop them. Otherwise, this will continue forever, because LAw Enforcement does not give a s***.

Called yesterday. Recording about Comm Ed bill. I stayed on and asked the operator "why are you bothering people who have electrical aggregation?" Said she would put me on a do not call list.

Called again today, so I asked "what sleezeball company do you work for so I can report you." Wouldn't say, but kept repeating "it takes 48 hours to remove you."

So, obviously a fraud.

All these so called electric suppliers are ramping up their sales pitches because there are many local towns and villages in the Chicago suburbs that are in the process of striking up a reduce electrical supply rate for the entire town.  Residents can opt in or opt out anytime time they want to with no penalties.  If you do this on your own with one of these discount suppliers, then you have to lock in for 12 to 24 months with huge penalties if you cancel before the end of the contract.  Just like your cell phone contract.  I know that my town is doing this and I can't wait to sign up.  That's why the calls and just wiat until the weather warms up, they will start showing up at your front door trying to get you to sign up.  I can't wait to see the look on their faces when I tell them that I already have a discounted rate!

Tell them nothing -- not your name and especially not your ComEd account number.  Hang up.  Report them immediately to www.donotcall.gov.

How can we stop these harasing telephone calls? I NEVER want a recorded message to call me.

I made the suggestion on blocking certain area codes to my cable/phone provider. They said that they would look into it. I'm not holding my breath.

The caller ID said "fed assist." I have gotten one message too many from scammers and liars. In addition to reinstating the death penalty for murder in the states that have eliminated it. Let's execute all the crooked and convicted cops, judges, politicians, armed robbers, pedophiles, mobsters and other lying weasels. It will help fight global warming. If only the majority would agree. lol. Just keep letting them off to procreate and create more vermin like them. You are all pansies, but I respect your opinions.

Want me to change electric company, offer a huge savings but when I looked at my bill it was .02 cents so I just kept him on the line for 20 minutes and then said I was happy with my current company.  I have a 'pay as you go cell' so it costs me money to answer these scams.  I now put them on my 'reject' list so they can't get thru anymore.

This number calls but there is no one on the other line.

Called me at 10:33am CST (01/29/13) and did not leave a voice-mail.   They called a business number.

Got a call today, didn't answer since I didn't recognize it.  Left no message

I live in AZ but kept my IL # on my cellular phone. I have ALL incoming numbers blocked (with the exception of anyone on my phone list). Got a call from 3123405567 and I'd like to know HOW they got through because everyone else (not on my phone list) says they are blocked?! Ridiculous!

I received a call from 312-340-5567 at 6PM CST. I always screen calls that I don't know. They left no message.

SCAM about lower electric utility rates. Returning call gives no information about who is calling.  I think the company might be called SCAM Electric.  I have lost count of all the electric utility phone calls from Area Code: 312, Exchange: 340, numbers range from 5544 to 5588.  This is a range with 44 different numbers.  I wish there was a way to block Area Codes and/or Exchanges.  Any ideas?
