this number is a fraud!!!

This number calls once or twice a day; however, when I anwer they immediately hang up.

im also prior service called the num back and got dod mailbox is full

Recieved 4 calls from this number. ITS A SCAM Please don't give them any info. Hopefully they can find these people and we can get them taken care of . Either way they will pay in the end

please report any calls from 3124094702 DOD to your local Security Office.  I have  rec'd 3 calls this week and have reported all I have to my local Security Office.

Hello, I'm the owner of Indoscope Records and we don't have that number any more. I just came across this today: Aug. 3 2008, and I'm not happy with what I'm reading.

Got a call and didn't recognize the number, instead of calling back I googled it first and saw all the scan info on your site.

Received a call from a female reporting she was calling from DOD and asking for my discharge date. She was calling from   312-409-4702. This is a scam.

Has anyone reported these people to their commands?  If so, what do they say?

They called and I didnt answer. I called back and it said DOD mailbox is full

They've called me three times.. THe 2 times I've answered, they claim to be reps of tricare and want to do a survey.. Neither time did they get very nice responses out of me..

I've gotten the call twice, today at 1227 after i went back to "a" school, and 2250 on the 26th, iI was going to call back but I thought to search online first

Sunday, another call. They offered to give me some number to vett them but I said no thanks. Supposedly they're some independent survey polling comany?? She offered to put me on thief DO NOT CALL list. It all sounded fishy to me. I got calls at 2000 thurs, 1100 sat & 1200 sun. Let's see if they stop?

I got a call today, Saturday. Earlier this week I got a call from another number claiming to be DOD healthcare. They asked if received some conseling treatment! I just asked the woman to mail any info she had. She knew my name and rank. I just told her that I do not engage in telephone surveys. She warned me that I would benifit from the survey. I hung up.

I also received calls from this number.  Once yesterday as a missed call and then again today.  I had already looked up the information and confronted the woman.  She insisted quite argumentatively that they were affiliated with DOD/TriCare.  I informed her that Major General Granger has posted a notice not to respond to calls from this number.  I then informed her I would be reporting them to the DOD and FBI.  So, guess what- I did.  I notified TriCare's fraud department, our local chain of command, and the FBI at the Kansas City field office.  The agent said he would forward the complaint to the FBIs telephone/internet fraud department.  Hopefully they'll shut these people down.

I saw this number with Department of Defense on my home phone caller ID on Saturday and again today.  They don't leave a message, so I'm sure it isn't a legitimate call from the DOD.

For clarification: four hours PRIOR TO getting a call from 312-409-4702, I had inputted my cell phone number online in order to complete my PDA.

I missed a call from this number on Friday, February 6 at 11:03 AM.  I called back and I was directed to a voicemail that announced that they were the Department of Defense and said that the mailbox was full.  Honestly, I don't have time to be worried about such things.  It probably came from me giving my number out to people I don't know.  (Another suspicious number I've been bothered with is 580-815-1527 and that was two weeks before)  Face it, people.  Some useless people have nothing better to do than to waste people's time by calling random numbers.  The second time I was doing the online portion of my periodic health assessment and typed in my cell phone number.  So maybe my number is on some database somewhere.  Sure hope not.  Oh well.

same as everyone else except for one thing. i reported it to the FBI who investigate fraud. they should have arude awakening.

I just got a call from that number, on my prepaid cell number which is weird because it's not a registered number. I looked it up and found this forum. What the heck is going on?

I received a missed call on my cell phone on 5 Feb 09 at 8:27 pm chicago time. I didn't know the # so I googled it and found this site. Sorry to say if it was DOD they would'nt call after 5:00 pm. Sounds like somethings up to me and it can"t be good.

Got a call from these idiots today...hard to believe that anyone would fall for this thinly-veiled sham of a racket.  Indoscope should be ashamed to be preying on military families.

I've gotten repeat calls from this number recently. I hung up on them at noon. I called back after reading this website and got the DoD voicemail. The same number called me back @2 claiming to be a contract company hired by DoD to do this survey. The voicemail also changed trying to sound more legit.

im prior military and i agree it sounds like a scam i did a little research and the number appears to be from chicago illinois in cook county and says its a land line but the voicemail sounds of a cell phone. whomever it is keep ignoring it and dont give any personal info.

I get a call from this number and when I call it back, the mail box is full and it says Department of Defense.  However, they never leave me a message.  I don't answer this call.

Got this call on 08JAN09.  Didn't recognize the number so I didn't answer it.  Looked up the area code, found it was Chicago.  I don't know a single person from that area, even though I'm active duty military.
I found this site when I checked on the number.  Hope this person is stopped...as if the military is targeted enough by people trying to scam us!

I  also got a call from the 312-409-4702 today Nov 9,2008. I didn't call it back. I googled it and found these posts. I didn't get to the phone in time. but when I looked at the caller ID  it said DOD. The area code and number did not match where my husband works so I did not return the call.  Thanks for the input.

I recieved the same call tried to return the call and got the message.  With the Chicago area code there is a place called great lakes I think its a navy base which handles most tricare dental issues.

I got a call from 1-312-409-4702 at 1312 on 12 Nov 2008. The caller ID read DEPT OF DEFENSE. I am a National Guardsman and stayed on active duty title 10 to help out with deploying solders at Camp Atterbury. I have been going nuts trying to figure out who would be calling me from this number. I finally decided to search the web. I am so glad I did. I thank all of you for your in put. You are correct, if this is legitimate  message would have been left for you to call back and the person would have said their name and rank.

It's not a cell because I sent an SMS (text) message to it. I received a repsonse back asking if I wished to have my text sent as a voicemail because the line is a land line. The mailbox response is one as though it were a cell phone.
