Got a call from this number and the voicemail I received said: "This is Jason Bednard with the construction deposition (disposition ?) of Summond & Co.requesting that I call him at 828-338-2474." - Sounded like an American.  

This was a live person who navigated my automated phone system to get to me and asked for me by name - though by first name only, which they could have gotten from the automated phone system. The 828 appears to be a landline in the Asheville, NC area (I'm in Chicago, and in the construction business, but don't know a company w/any name similar to the one mentioned).  Not calling it back.

This number called and a middle eastern man said he was going to be giving away a government grant of $7,000 and that all we needed to do was to provide our personal information to him.  When we asked to speak to a supervisor or any other information to confirm who he was, he became irritable and rude.
This number is most certainly a scam and it needs to be stopped!

a man with a pakistani accent called and asked me if I wanted to purchase pharmaceutical drugs and gave the name of a website.  his accent was so pronounced it was difficult to understand the name of the website he provided.  I am on a do not call list.  caller did not seem legitimate.

I am working on a automatic call back system that will tie the callers phone up with signals that the phone company uses it is just as legal as what they are doing...I will either be arrested or make the news. It is this or track them down and remove the dialing fingers one by one.

Got a call at 6am this morning. Didn't pickup as we were tired checking on our newborn, LOL. Came to know the call was from wife's   friend living in Tokyo(Japan). Wonder if this number is bought by some voip companies and shared amongst each other. Spammers in other countries may be using those VOIP companies to bug others as well?

I too got a call from these people representing themselves as the "Fraternal Order of Police," looking for donations.  The female I spoke to not a  professional type individual -  masked her role with a lot of "God Bless You's," and then she transferred me to a male who was very rude, inconsiderate and ungrateful for the donation he was about to receive.  They were looking for a credit card number to "charge it" to.  I told him I didn't have a credit card and that I would have to give him a check.  He didn't like that idea, but proceeded to write down my address and we hung up.  Later I told my daughter about the strange call and the way they treated me over the phone.  She looked up the number and found all of these not so nice comments about the people calling from this number.  So I called the police and reported the incident.  It will be followed up by detectives they told me.  But everyone should know, according to the policeman I spoke to, they are looking for your credit card number so they can charge up your card or get the cash available.  They are no doubt scammers.  So do be on the look out.

Someone called from this number, when I called back got some personal voice mail. Probably some freelance scamster.

Oh my gosh, this person keeps calling me over and over again but they never say anything! IT'S SOOOOOO ANNOYING. PERSON WHO HAS THIS NUMBER: IF YOU'RE READING THIS, STOP CALLING US!!!!!

These people have been calling my cell phone.  Isn't this type of thing illegal?

I just got a call from this number with a voice mail claiming that a friend of mine (who's name he does give) is in serious legal trouble for committing some sort of fraud and listed me as a reference and if I don't call him back I will be in trouble as well.  I've gotten calls before about this particular friend and she is aware of this and says it's nothing and I should ignore it. I'm not sure if she's lying or who to believe.  I feel like I'm being threatened.  Even if she did do something wrong, how in the world am I getting dragged into it?

They have been calling me for weeks.  No message or VM.

They left a message saying they are from account services and would like to reduce my credit card interest rate. Sounded like a scam so I googled it.

I received a call from overseas from someone I know, for some reason this is the number that showed up on the caller id.  And on google voice history log it shows up as unknown.

Called several times, as late as 10:30 pm. No VM.
I'd just showed "Illinois".

I received a call 10:45 am Saturday from System Software Associates, 500 W. Madison, Chicago, IL. Man sounded Asian.  He told me I had won 2 million dollars. I knew right away it was a scam.  I asked how I had won.  I believe he said from a Las Vegas casino or Readers Digest. I told him I wasn't interested.  He swore at me. I said what. He repeated what he said.  I hung up.

The date I was called is January 29 , 2011.
