I got a recorded message from this law firm on a sunday afternoon. The funny part is I do not live in chicago and never have. Now my wife is from chicago but she moved out here 20 years ago. This law firm also never said who they where looking for. Now should I continue getting these calls i will look further in to this law firm. Since i have a history of having lawyers lic. Revoked.

Call when at work.  Home today due to weather. Answered to a pre-recorded message stating they have tried to reach me NUMEROUS times (that would be two) about an urgent matter (if it's so urgent, why didn't they leave messages those two prior calls?) and to have.....insert robot voice here... Robert J call Mr Scott at (insert diff number) or get in contact with Robert and tell him to call.  I'll get right on that.  NOT!

Hilarious!   That's my exhusband that I divorced 15 years ago!   How they can possibly associate me with him now is insane!   I've lived in GA for the past 10 years and this firm is in IL, where I moved from.  They are now on my call blocker.    

"Mr. Scott" stopped calling my phone number after I sent them a copy of my Do Not Call registration.

WE constantly get calls from the number 312-423-7329 from a Mr. Scott.

I have never been to Illinois, much less Chicago. I just got this number assigned to me in February.  They have called before but no message.  Today they called asking for a Jack A. Jeffingpen (that's what it sounded like) to call because they have left messages for him. I not Jack.  I don't even have my phone turned on.  I just happened to see the message light blinking.

claim to be a law firm representing the State of Kansas Dept of Revenue.  Any issues I had with them have been resolved many years ago.  I agree with the other poster that this outfit is probably fishing for info to make you think you have to pay them something.  Since they are from ILL, I would not be surprised if it's not something to do with oboma harassing a conservative (me)  I set this number up with a special ring tone ... which is 1 second of silence.  You can record your own if you can't find it on google.

This a law firm attempting to collect fines you've already paid.  They will wait until years after you've paid the fine and then demand a payment receipt you may have discarded or threaten a collection preceding.  They may not even have your correct name or address but will seek to verify both.  They are recording your call; tell them nothing.

These guys have been calling me for months about my sprint bill, i finally settled and payed them and now they've transferred that bill to a different collection agency and this new collection agency says i didn't pay it. I'm not paying the same bill twice and on my bank statement it shows these bunch of a**holes took my money for the bill just to be dicks and pass it on to someone else. Had i known that was gonna happen, I wouldn't have even bothered to pay it in the first place. . . . although I'm trying to get my good credit back on track. . . .  I'm about to change my number, screw em all, i'll even bounce out of the country and stay gone. Only the US deals with ss #. Besides it's too cold in WI, and you try to be responsible by paying your stuff just to get kicked in the butt again. No thank you. . . . hello palm trees

They called my cell phone today left me this message: This is the office of Arnold Scott Harris they are calling to talk to me. At the time when I heard the message I had no clue who they were so I looked up the number 312-348-1555  that's how I found out. So now what do I do. First off I don't live in Chicago I live 55 miles south of Chicago I have no clue what they want. Do I wait till they call me again and hope I answer or do I call them back?  

PS What ever this if it's a bill it has to be over 4 or 5 years old maybe even 6 years old because I have stayed up on everything here.

keep getting a phone call from this number on a private unpublished cell phone. They leave no messages. don't know who it is or why they are calling.

I have tried for months to get this harassing law office to STOP calling my house numerous times a day to solicit business.  Sometimes the recording states to call Miss Grant at 312-604-7187.  I am sick of this aggravation - something should be done by the Better Busines Bureau or the ABA against this jerk!

I keep getting calls from (312) 423-7338... I think it is from a collection agency for city of chicago parking tickets... not sure though!

These are the RUDIEST bunch of "professionals" I have ever talked to!!!!!  I had to speak to 3 ppl PLUS a supervisor to get things resolved.  They have no phone etiquette, are nasty, and make stupid comments that do not pertain to the matter at hand.  I end up paying the debt (from 5 yrs ago!!) so I would speak to these IDIOTS EVER AGAIN...
I wish I had done my research on them before coughing over $300 because I dont even believe that debt even belonged to me!!!  However, the relief of not having to deal with unprofessional, rude, condesending, office of jerks was worth my $$. Ughhhhhhhhh

well i c everybody has been tried 2 b collected on wow. well get this, i recived a check n the mail that was over thousand. i check him out on the computer. check the bank, which is FIRST THIRD BANK Elmhurst ill. check out and it came with a letter, now the kicker is i was b n garnish by a lawyer named
frances. which he's n ill. which i was directed 2 by arnold scott harris, this is what got me puzzled, y garnish my check and turn around and send me some money back, have they couaght on 2 this man r what, AND I'M FROM KANSAS

These guys left an automated message on my answering machine trying to reach a person that hasnt lived in my household for over 18 months. It was quite the job actually reaching someone there to try and get them to remove my number. When I finally did get a hold of someone after being on hold and hung up on 3 times they told me they could not find my phone number in the database.

I had an incident involving police in 2007. There were fines associated with it. However, all fines were paid with the bond money. I was on probation, which ended - one of the terms ending it was that all fines be paid. Now, 4 years later, this agency sends a letter stating I owe $785. This is impossible as the county that they say they are collecting for never once - in 4 years, sent me anything saying I owed money. In addition, if those fines were unpaid my probation would not have ended. Finally, I was on unemployment. If the county said I owed them moeny, they would have garnished it from the unemployment I was getting from the state. This is ridiculous.

Now they are trying to collect on bogus IPASS debts. They tried to collect on a debt on an IPASS before I even had my IPASS account!

This firm keeps calling me insisting I have unpaid tolls in Chicago and they are going to suspend my license and it will affect my credit rating if I don't pay.  I don't know what I'm supposed to pay, as I have never received an amount or anything in writing.   I have never been to Chicago, and I have never run through a toll bridge.  They say they have sent me repeated correspondence which keeps coming back to them.  I don't believe it.  They will call my house a lot and then hang up when I answer.  When I call back, I will sit on hold for a long time.  They have called me from the following numbers, 312-348-1553, 312-348-1554,312-348-1545, and 312-423-7338.  I have spoken to a live person after continually calling back over and over.  I get different information from each person when I get through.  I have spoken with a "Barbara", "Yolanda" & "Ken".  I am going to report them to the Illinois Attorney General and the BBB.

Keep gettin calls from this number but they are not there when I answer it. I try to call back but they don't answer. I don't knowof any debt I have especially traffic violations. I've had no tickets for 6 years and what I had before was paid completely. Has anyone successfully reached them? it can't be possible to have a judgment against me. There is something fraudulant or erroneous at best at work here.

The calls I received came from Arnold Scott Harris, P.C. a/k/a Harris & Harris (312) 348-1558.  Apparently they use several different numbers.  This is a law firm performing debt collection work.  They use an automated calling system which contains inaccurate phone numbers.  During Jan., Feb. and March 2010, they called my home repeatedly during the day while I was at work and loaded up my answering machine with messages from "Ms. Grant."  (My family and I don?t owe money, so Mr. Harris, his firm, and "Ms. Grant" had no reason to call.)  When I finally had enough of the unwanted phone calls, I called them back.  The young lady who answered the phone was rude and confrontational right from the start, insisting I must have an "account" with them.  She searched and searched, didn't find anything, and reluctantly said she would remove my number from their automated call list.  The kicker ? after they had repeatedly called my home for days, the young lady actually said "don't you have anything better to do than call the Law Offices of Arnold Scott Harris?" Please be wary of this outfit.
