For the record this is NOT a lawyer or a law firm.
This is a personal information phishing scam.

Received a phone call from this number. Called and it is Harris & Harris. They didnt know why I was getting called as I have no debt with them. .Passed me to one person and that person had me on hold so I hung up. Then I get another call saying "this is an important message for "and that is it.

The message above that I posted just "posted" before I was done typing.
Anyway, as a legal secretary, we sure didn't waste so much time on phone calls if we knew for sure we didn't have correct numbers. We always verified the information we had was in fact true before the phone calls started.. This company actually cracks me up as the time is always 9:43 am or 10:43 am and it calls my number every single day, just to be blocked.

This number calls me everyday around 9:43 am and 10:43 am................ It is a computer and it starts out with a name I never heard of. I hang up immediately and thank God above I have a Panasonic home phone as I can block so many numbers. Now it rings like 1/2 a ring, says "blocked call" and I can still go in and see the caller. They may be a bill collector but they sure don't have the right information if that is in deed what they are. honeI was a legal secretary for over 12 years and believe me, we sure didn't waste time making

An automated system called for me today claiming they were with the "superior court." Then they wanted to confirm my birthdate. Right, like I'm going to give a random caller my birthdate! Then they wouldn't tell me what it's about. After googling the information I found out they were a collection agency and the name that appeared was A Harris Law. I have a perfect credit score and never missed a payment in my life. THEN they said I was a "person of interest" (their exact words) and they needed to confirm information.
So lets recap.
1. They started by lying about who they were, claiming they were from the superior court.
2. They started asking ME personal information without identifying themselves, which no office of the government would ever do.
3. Then they used the term "person of interest" to make me think I was somehow a criminal.
NEVER talk to someone from that company and NEVER give personal information to a random caller. Hang up and report the number.

I got a call from this law office as well, and it was a machine. My wife gave me the number and i called it back and got put on hold for about 5 minutes and then eventually transfered to what seemed like someones voicemail then i was disconnected immediatley. This sounds an aweful lot like a scam

An automated telephone call, probably on behalf of the State trying to collect debt. They say to call back "Mr. Scott". Sorry, I don't return phone calls from robots.

I got a suspicious call from this # today, saying it was regarding suspicious activity in my checking account.
| Sherry 2013-05-06 17:19:52 Unknown |
Keep calling for my daughter who hasn't lived here for about 20 years; they never leave a name, just say that "it's important to return their call". Yeah .. like that's gonna happen.
