Was a text message to call 312 496 6647 regarding a job application submitted to jobconnectionsource.com The caller's name is Melissa. There is no call back number, just a reply for you to log onto website to apply for position. They are also emailing to apply to this site. Just saw on another web site that this is a fraud.

They get the information from Careerbuilder.com. They are two more website set up almost exactly like job connection. The websites are jobapp100.com and Hiringsourseonline. THey all look the same maybe a few things like the color of the background are differnt.

Yes, I'm a victim of this too. It's a bit scary knowing that someone has access to personal information without authorization.

I first received an e-mail to go on to the website. Then I received text message to go on the website and answer a couple more questions. The next day I received a text mail message on my cell phone to go on the web site again. The job that I was applying for was at Lockied Martin as an Administrative Assistant. At first I thought that this was going to be a real opportunity for me to get a job but I see now that it's not. I would like to know how these people got my info, the only place that I have my resume posted with is Careerbuilder.com.

I recieved a email inviting me to apply for a position, I clicked on the link and applied for the job. I received a text message from a person named Melissa, stating to call her at (312) 496-6647 on 2/19/08. I called the number back and I got a recorded message to go on the website jobconnectsource.com to answer a few more questions on the application that I submitted. Some people are serious about finding a job and this must be stopped. I posted my resume with Montster.com and Careerbuilder only, not this website.

I received the same text, researched the area code...Chicago Illinois area. Went on line for jobconnectionsource.com and found this web page.... Needless to say, I'm not wasting my time!

Yeah, I got the same text, I called the number and there is a Melissa, no contact info, I wish people wouldn't waste my time, especially if you are reall and truly looking for a job, these people need to be stopped.

Recieved a text message from 312-496-6647. I replied, and was sent a text message from my cell provider saying this message was not able to be sent.
Sounds like a phishing scam to me. I am a professional and have no time for a scam.

Same as other remarks posted here: asking for more information on the website. I don't even remember applying to a job with this outfit, if it is a job. I'm in SC. I don't think I would apply to a 312 area code.

I received a call from the above phone number

I first received an e-mail inviting me to jobconnectionsource.com where I submitted some information but nothing compromising.
I later received a text message. I tried calling back on the number that was on my text message, and I received a lenghy greeting. It does seems suspicious, and, as a result, I decided to go no further with the e-mails or text messages.
It seems that it follows a classic scam process, getting a little more information from you at a time to gain trust.
Do what you will with this information. I cannot make any certain claims, but I followed my instinct.

Rec'd a text message to call this number regarding my job application with Job Connection. I don't know whether to call it back, but the text came through after 10 p.m. which is strange anyway.

I received 8 emails on 8 different jobs, by several different people, but all with the same concept. I believe this is a scam to get debt info or credit card info to further your education.
Don't make the mistake I made, just delete the email. If it a true opportunity, go directly to that companies job website, don't waste your time or comprise your personal info here.
