Yep it's Colorado tech..

Those of you who think you did something to attract these cretins, put that out of your mind.  I don't know how they decide who they are going to call, but I know for a fact they aren't calling to "follow up" on *anything*.  I'm downright paranoid about who I give my number to, but one day these supposed "University of ____" (it changes) started calling me and now I get 10-12 calls a day from them.  They have a list of numbers to call, they have huge call-centers to make the calls, but they don't keep track of who they call.  I've spoken to three people named "Kevin" today, two of them were distinctly Indian and the third was a woman, so it's pretty clear they are the lowest-bidding call center, with a script to follow and zero quality-control.

This number has called me a million times, never leaves a message.  I always screen my calls so I do not answer.  However, the number is shown on my digital display when it could have been blocked.  That leads me to believe it could be a phishing attack, so I do not return call.  I may block the number if calls continue.

If your phone number is between (000) 000-0000 and (999) 999-9999, a robodialer found you. Criminals, using computers, high speed internet, & voip pick an area code & dial every number. They don't have to know your number. Remember, computers can dial millions of calls a day. Now #2, remember your new number is someone else's old number. If the previous owner was a "bad person", they got rid of their phone & you got it. Simple as that.

Not even sure how they got my number since I just got it connected 2 days ago and have not given it to anyone. My own mother don't have my number yet. Im very curious how they obtained it.

It's Colorado Technical University.   I have repeatedly asked them to STOP calling me, yet they just keep at it.....

I received a call from 312-568-2144 and they did not leave a message.  I looked on here to see who it might be and saw most responses said University of Phoenix or Colorado Tech.  I called the number and a lady said "This is Denise".  I told her I must have dialed the wrong number and she asked what company I was trying to reach.  I told her "University of Phoenix" and she said I had the wrong number.  Oh well...still a mystery to me.

Jerks call several times a day. They don't identify themselves but when we answer the cuss and scream at us. Getting really tired of it!

Its an online university program that is trying to get you to enroll!  Just answer the phone and tell them you are not interested, otherwise you will be hounded over and over

This annoying person keeps calling me from this number. Happens on multiple occasions on two different phones.

Receive 2 or 3 calls everyday.

this number has called me today four times with an hour apart. I attend/well use to b a student at CTU but was taking classes online, but if i got any calls from them they always left messages. and my husband use to attend univerity of phenoix online as well but i dont know why they would be calling my phone this much every day.....never answered the call tho...and never left a message....

put a blocker on blacklisting the number.There are free apps. for that.

Got a call from this number and didn't recognize it.  Didn't recognize the area code either.  Looked it up on Google......clicked to check where it was coming from.....University of Phoenix.  No one said anything when I answered my phone.  And I had reported my phone number to the 800---no call number....last week.  Huess that doesn't even work to stop unwanted calls!

Let me guess, you signed in for a grant or promotional add on a web search, and now you don't remember. This is the system they use to legally bind users to unwanted ads via email or phone. So first rule of business, nothing is free in this world. second, they are out there and their job is to get your approval to this ads.

I just got a call from 312-568-2144, and I called back and they said they were from Arkansas Tech University.

CTU is owned by Career Education Corp., located in Chicago.

This is NOT a debt collector nor is it the University of Phoenix. I am currently a University of Phoenix student. After reading the other posts on here I decided to give them a call back. It is Colorado Tech due to a request I accidentally filled out online. That's what I get for not reading what I am filling out.

There are several answers on here as to who is behind the phone number. Don't believe what some of the folks on here are saying. I am 100% it is Colorado Tech because, well, I called them and spoke to them. I spoke to a woman named Michelle and she was very polite. I told her I was already a student at another school. I gave her my phone number so they can pull up my information and they were happy to remove me from their calling list.

So in the future for those of you receiving these calls, answer it and have them remove you from their calling list.

I got a call from this number i am on the DO NOT CALL LIST please do not call me anymore.

I've been getting 2-5 calls from this number each day.  Most of the time they say it is Colorado Tech, but other times it's Phoenix... I guess that means it's really a 3rd-party annoyance generator.

The times I've gotten any useful info from them, they always say they are calling [my real first name]+[some random last name that starts with the same letter as my last name], as though they are using a list viewed through a fuzzy lens.

I wish they would just go away, and I tell them this (each time), and they say they did not know this (each time), and they promise they will remove me (each time).
