I sent a pretty nasty email back and also reported the number and incident to the internet crime complaint center. You should report it as well. its ic3.gov.

i just got an email from a lady, karen mendoza, she said she was moving to my town to. wanted my banking information. and she gave little information about her 2 kids. She offered a ridiculous amount of money to nanny. Gave this same number to.

Just got an email from a lady named Karen Mendoza offering a ridiculous amount of money to Nanny her two children. She gave few details and said she was moving to my town. She did want my full name, age, bank acct info etc.

Probably going to mess with her.

Whoever did this deserves to get F***ed with.

There is an internet scammer using this number that goes by the name of Karen Mendoza! Do not respond!

When they called last month, I added them to my phone book as "Survey" and so did not bother to answer when they called back yesterday.  

If you call them back, you won't be able to speak to a live person.  I guess the only way to get on their do not call list is to go to their website and send them an email.  

Sadly, these "survey" calls are legal.  However, once you tell them to stop calling, they cannot call you again.  If they do, they can be reported to the donotcall.gov website.

Robo-caller left this voice mail message:  "Hello.  This an automated public survey from "For a Better Chicago."  We'd like to ask you a few short questions about your opinion on education in the city of Chicago.  This survey will take approximately five to seven minutes."  [click]

Of course, the lady mispronounced shi-CAW-go.  She said shi-CAH-go -- which drives me crazy.  If you're going to do a survey about it, why can't you learn how to say it correctly?

"For a Better Chicago" seems to be a PAC (political action committee).  The survey questions can be found here:  http://www.forabetterchicago.org/

This is a company that is among those that are exempt from the government's Do Not Call list which "include organizations engaged in political solicitations or surveys."

just got a call, don't recognize didn't answer, won't cal back.

Automated survey conducted by the For a Better Chicago PAC. Caller ID said, "US Cellular." I called the number back and left a message asking to be taken off of their calling list.

I got a pre-recorded message after I let it go to voicemail. It does appear to be a survey for Better Chicago, and they mentioned something about my opinions on Education.

I got the call. Answered and heard a recording saying "7 minutes" then disconnected

Caller inadvertently left a partial message "will take 5-7 minutes" so probably was an automated survey of some kind.

For a Better Chicago is the caller.  Will NOT take me off their list.
