Better "read the TCPA" and "know the law" yourself before you start pecking away at your calculator and racking up those phantom damage awards. The TCPA was written to address *SALES CALLS*. A surveyor is *NOT A SALESMAN*. A surveyor does not need your prior consent in any form to cold call. Surveys cannot obtain the sample sizes they need if surveyors are roadblocked before they start.

Polite and honest survey companies will quit calling on request and not use a survey as a cheap cover for a sales purpose. I haven't decided what I think of this bunch, which has made repeat abandoned calls an annual event.

I received a call from this number on my cell phone. My phone's screen said the call was coming from Illinois (which is why I questioned if this was actually the CDC). This was the third time I was called from this number, the first two times I was busy and did not answer the phone. I answered this time realizing they were going to keep calling if I did not answer. The woman on the phone said my number was randomly chosen for a survey for the CDC regarding vaccinations & children. I was asked two questions about ages of children in my household and when I told her I had no children in my home, she said the survey was now over and that she had no further questions. I was not asked for my name or any other personal information and for this reason I do not believe it was a scam call.

Has called every evening for the last 2 weeks despite having been told to take me off their call list.

And they need to know why?????

I got a voicemail from the number 312-578-7015 on August 19, 2013 at 8:26 P.M. Central Time that says
 "Hello I am calling on behalf of the Center for Disease Control and Prevention. We are conducting a nationwide spreading about childhood immunizations. Would you please call us toll free at 1-877-267-8154 to let us know if there are any children between 12 months and 4 years old living on (something) in this household. The number again is 1-877-267-8154. Thank you"
That's not even the same number that called me. My phone says they are from Illinois. I never even been to Illinois and I also don't have any children.

Screw the CDC and all other alphabet agencies who want to invade the privacy of the American people.  The next time these momsers call - so far from two different numbers just two last digits different - I'm going to say "ask me no questions and I'll tell you no lies, and did the caller still want me to take the survey?

call from this number at 9:26PM yesterday and 11:36pm tonight. DIdn't pick up and they left no message. Irritating!

They only let phone ring 3 o 4 times.  They call again will charge them with harrassing a Senior Citizen.

Calling my husbands cell phone 3-4 times a day. He spoke to a woman once, told her he didn't want to participate in the survey and please remove him from the list, she said she would. They are still calling. She was asking questions about vaccinations. He said it was a weird call and she told him his number was chosen at random. Seems like if they tell you they will not call again, they should NOT call you again instead of harrassing you 3-4 times a day.

They don't ask for personal info because they probably ALREADY have it! There is no such thing as privacy...the Gov't is monitoring EVERYTHING today.

scam do to CDC do not take call, scam

Calls my cell phone claiming to be conducting an immunization survey for CDC.  Twice has called when I was at work at a radio station and about to go on the air.  Have told them to stop calling me.

I continually get calls from this number and no message is ever left.

Same here...didn't answer my cell when this number called because I didn't recognize the number. (they've called once every other day for a week) Finally looked it up on here.

After reviewing some of the other remarks made by people (on this page) - I personally could care less if it's legit or not, at this point...because they call me relentlessly, day after day, twice a day...EVERY day this week and much of last week.... I may just have to answer the damn phone just to get them to stop calling me.

Pathetic when you are trying to report something and others decide to pull it so you have to do it again, don't you just love technology?(lol) Any way here it is again, I first received a phone call from that number on July the 9th at 3:22pm claiming to be from the CDC about the effects of cellphones on health. Number one I did not give ANYONE from there my phone number, much less do I know anyone in the state of Chicago. I got another call from the same weird individual at  6:45 EST on July the 15th  about a call to DEPT OF VETERAN Affairs on July the 8th. I never called Dept of Vet Affairs on the 8th, nor do they call that late about a call they received from me. Government better stop hiring Flunkeys to harass folks who mind their own business and get to work on THAT DEFICIT, and the man they ALLOWED TO LEAVE with Govt. INFO!!!!!!!!

I received a call from that number on July the 9th at 6:45pm eastern claiming to be from the CDC it was from ficticious Black male whom I know I do not know and claimed to be calling for the effects of cellphones on health. I got another call from the same man again on July the 15th, but this time it came up on Restricted and claiming to be from THE DEPT OF VETERAN AFFAIRS OFFICE on a call on July the 8th that never took place. I find this quite sad when Government wastes money hiring simple minded folks with nothing better to do than harass people who mind their own business.

I too received a call from this number, glad I was still sleeping... and I am coming form the Pacific Islands

they called me at the middle of making supper.and they ask me how many under 18 lives with you. I answer and said two. what got me they were asking so much about how old each vac  mytolder daughter got and ect....then they ask they are going to call the doctors for more info.and then last my name my daughter full name and date of birth and what type of inc I had.then when they were going to hang up they gave me their numbers if I had any questions....

You are wrong.This is NOT allowed by Federal Law. Read the TCPA. It has been tightened up to protect consumers. If these people are using auto-dialers AND calling your cell phone, you're looking at a minimum of $1500 PER CALL. It could be up to $2500/call. If they're using a pre-recorded voice (as in, "If you would like to participate in a survey, please press 1"), that's another $1000 violation PER CALL on top of everything else.

The TCPA has been revised to say that you must give EXPRESS permission for them to call you. Did you give the CDC EXPRESS permission to call you? I doubt it.

Know the law and sue these people. That's the only way this is going to stop.

These people are calling my home and cell. Do not know this #. When I called # they asked if I was responding to a call or letter . I just hung up.. How do I stop theses calls?

my new thing is to call them let the do there rabble and then hang up..its my new thing to keep calling and bothering them

these people keep calling after I have told them numerous times to NOT CALL It is the center for disease control.
