Why? Because the politicians were able to stand around & get lots of publicity for passing the law,, and everyone
thinks they are really looking out for us...UNTIL you get the calls and realize that there is ZERO enforcement of the DNC list. And ANY law is only as good as the willingness to enforce it. In this case, the politicians have the telemarketers handing the, campaign contributions, so they do not put any teeth in this law.
Put another way.. IT IS A SHAM!

They call evenings, never a message. Caller ID just says Illinois Call and the number.

It seems that someone is thumbing their noses against the FCC and FTC regulations. It may well be a number that isn't real and is a for profit or a scam organization. I have had some traced and sent to the police department. I have never heard anything back from the officer who took my request. Is the no call list just a money pit that will not catch crime? I hear they will take them to court and fine them $250,000, but how are they able to catch them when I get a notice in the mail wanting more information? I thought they had the control of the high ground, I am only a consumer. No more Robo calls or solicitation please!

The do not call list seems like it doesn't work because I keep getting phone calls from these telemarketers and spam callers. It never stops. What good is the do not call list if it doesn't work? Seems like all it does is gives the spammers and telemarketers numbers to call. I have recieved more calls since I became a member of the do not call list.

We get these calls several times a day. We have had the 708 call, also. They never leave a message. We are on the no call list--would love these people to get into trouble for all their calls all day long, Not sure what the no call list does now.

This is a telemarketer selling an Emergency Medical Alert system. I've also received the identical message from 708-462-5563
