Received several messages from this number, name on listing is Arnold S H. The message says they are a debt collector for tolls. I was getting the same messages from another number about unpaid tolls for someone I know that has been deceased for 2 years. Bogus call all the way.

Thanks everyone!!  I almost called this number back.  As I don't use the toll way, it would have been pretty funny.  I have this guy constantly calling me saying I have a problem with my computer.  I know it is a scam, so I tease the heck out of him by pretending to follow his directions on the phone.  When things are not going his way, he always hangs up.  Maybe I should do this with these guys.

Consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $60.00 or so.

These people have been calling several times a day for a month now, they are rude an indignant. I told them to contact my Bankruptcy attorney and stop calling me, yet they won't stop calling

I just called them.  It is a Law Firm of Arnold Scott Harris and they called about a Illinois Tollway violation.  Unlike some of the issues posted, I had a very simple discussion with "Frank" explained the situation, who then refereed me to I-Pass, gave me all the information they would need and simply asked that I called him back with the confirmation number after I paid I-Pass.

This is Arnold Scott Harris law firm out of Chicago.  They have been calling my residence continuously for several months now. They are looking for a person who I found out had rented the house that I now rent 3 YEARS before I moved in. They have called and spoken to my 13 year old daughter who told them the person doesn't live here and it is a wrong number, I have told them we have no idea who this is and to stop calling here and now I am getting my machine filled with messages while I'm at work and they call in the evening while I am cooking dinner or helping kids with homework... but it is always a recording telling you to call back. When you do, you get a voice mail after about 5 minutes of music and please hold; like they are about to answer; but they never do. I left a message tonight that if they call one more time or leave one more message I will contact my lawyer about harassment charges. I am going to report them to the attorney general / no call list this week.

312 604 7187 calls repeatedly since the first of December requesting a return call to Mr Scott. Never a real person just automated message.

This is way to pay the violation. I sent my violation money order with regular mail and they did not cash it until 10 days after receiving it. They do it on purpose that then they have right to fine you again even you made the payment. Use sertified mailing then you can prove they did receive payment on time.

I've gotten the same calls. I ask every time for them to mail me the information (smart of you to ask, documentation is evidence!) and give them the correct address each time they call. I have YET to receive a single document, letter, or anything physical to back up what they are saying. They want me to pay $420 and have been calling for this amount since 2007! I refuse to pay a cent until I see paperwork and they threaten me constantly. News for ya, I live in IN now, so take away my IL license with your fake fines!

this is Arnold S. Harris, a collection attorney downtown Chicago.  They represent the Illinois Toll Authority, among others.  The toll system is as corrupt as they come!  Harris WILL report you deliquent to the credit bureau's, and they WILL have the Illinois Secretary of State suspend your driver's license!  You're better off not dealing with Harris.  Instead, go to the Tollway office in Downers Grove, IL and see a Violations manager.  You can argue your case and fill out a Settlement request for a lot less than the amount owed.  Once you get the final settlement figure, you send a Money Order via Certified Mail with a return receipt.  Include a letter telling them to instruct Harris to cease calling you and to immediately update any negative credit reporting and unsuspend your license.  if you try to deal with Harris, all you'll get is the run around.

My son has received several calls on his cell phone in the last few days from this number. Was some law firm saying they wanted to collect unpaid road toll fees and the resultant fines from back in 2003. Um, my son would have been 12 that year, so obviously he wasn't driving then. Geesh!

(312) 604-7187 okay, I did have toll violations a month ago and settled them.  Monday they said I owed 1 price... friday another.  A month later with a positive balance in my account they sent me more letters to say I was delinquent and though they missed this one- I only owed another $10 for a couple hundred dollar old violation and to unsuspend my license.... It's been 2 months since and I've now gotten a call from "Mr. Scott" if it's for unpaid tolls this is getting to be seriously fraudulent how they can purport to make me pay fines for missed tolls when I have a positive balance in my I pass account and they've cleared my account 3 x's since with Ipass directly.

This number showed up on my caller ID.  I answered, and someone hung up.  I have no debt, so I have no idea why they called.

Calls from this number for someone who has never lived here.

They are not just for the tollway....this is a scam and they are just digging up stuff they can find for outstanding debt that they can try and collect on.  My husband had some old court fees from 1991 that they are trying to collect on that were paid out or settled on.  His license would have been taken back then if he had not paid the court and a warrent for his arrest.  They are blowing smoke up peoples a***s! Now if you do have outstanding debit I would get it settled with proper businesses not them or anyone else they sell your name and number too! You will go on a mailing list and they will stalk you for years as they have us.

Called at 8 am on my day to sleep in. I have had a bunch of calls from this number, they never leave a voicemail.

Same thing - I check my voice log and have repeated calls from this unknown number - sometimes there is a message for people that use to live here.

just got a call from this person, no voice or anything, just shows up with the number and it's about a five second call before they hang up.  so obnoxious.

It is the number for a collection agency that is contracted with the Illinois IPASS. I highly recommend calling IPASS to settle any claim they may have against you. I was in collection for over $1,400, but by settling with IPASS I only had to pay $121 and IPASS waived the rest of the fine.

I think this is a scam

I just received a message on my answering machine. " Please call 312-604-7187 and ask for Mr. Adams."  When I called I was put in a queu and told a representative would be with me within 30 seconds.  I ended up waiting about 5 minutes and then got an answering machine!  I did get a call a few weeks ago, probably the same firm, a rather blunt person saying that I owed unpaid tolls.  I told her that I don't even take the toll road, I commute to work by train.  She asked what kind of car I drive and I told her.  She then asked my address which I then got a bit peeved.  I told her to tell me what address she's looking for.  She told me she can't tell me that.  I told her I wasn't telling her mine and I really didn't know who she was.  So she hung up.  My wife said that they had called for me previously for which she forgot about.  I really don't understand how they got my name and now repeatedly call me.

It's some cheesball law office trying to collect unpaid debts or something. The guy they called for has moved out long ago. Suspicious people. Just tell 'em to go away. "Mr. Adams" is mentioned in the recording.

Some Jerk harassing my family and friends to collect for the tollway fines that I have already settled up on.  Stupid IDOT could not even fix their error until I talked to 3 people and spent 2.5 hours on the phone.  You would think if you have 3 IPASSES on one credit card that if you update the account it would fix the CC on all 3. Now I gotta deal with these jerks...

They want $48,000.00? I hope you contacted the F.B.I. and turned these dumb crooks in? Contact the Illinois Attorney General's office and put this issue on public media as well. Mayor Daley isn't the sharpest tool in the mafia shed as it is. His daddy was a gangster. I have to wonder if this  extortion scheme is one of those idiotic pathologies of that came right out of the Illinois Governor's office.

I just received a call from this number today. It is a lawyers office in Illinois trying to collect money on unpaid tolls. They are going to mail me the information, because they mailed it to the wrong address. Just curious how legit this is..can they really take away my license if I don't pay the fines? Does anyone know?

I received a call from the related number of 312-604-7187 a few months ago. They wanted me to pay $48,000 in fines for an IPASS account I paid off and closed down A YEAR prior to the call! It's absolute fraud, she wanted me to pay a fine that didn't exist. She was swearing at me on the phone, told me to "get it together and borrow money or the US government was going to take my license away"

Now I am getting calls from this number. I won't answer them
