There was "private caller" on my display, but the woman said she was an operator trying to put through a call for my husband's name for "John Bauer". I first pretended to be my husband (gender neutral name), and she didn't seem to believe me. Why?? Wouldn't leave a message or callback number. I asked what company, she just kept repeating the above. I asked if it was a collect call? She said no. I asked, why is he using the operator then? She exclaimed, and hung up.

Just got another call from same number 312-683-9576, Jonathan stating this is the final notice on lowering my credit card rate. I was then connected to lady named Jerry. She hung up on me when I began to ask what credit cards in my name. (This is 2nd call today less than an hour apart.) This is daily, see my March, Feb and Jan complaints filed. I have repeatedly told them I have no credit card in my name and I am on the Do Not Call List both State and Federal. I have filed at least 3 complaints which included the excessive verbal abuse of profanity and sexual verbal attacks from these people. Now filing 4th complaint with FCC, FTC and State Attorney. I just wish our government would do something to protect its American citizens.

This number called me this afternoon at 3:27 PM. When I looked at my caller ID, it read Client Care. When I answered, a prerecorded message about lowering my credit card interest rates played. I pressed the 9 key to speak to a "representative" and the call went dead. They never called back.

got this call too, no answer, no messages. TBD is the name that showed up on my caller ID. To Be Determined??? lol seriously, I don't bother to answer calls I don't recognize. Been on the DNC list, and what a waste, they don't do anything about the calls, and I'm still getting them. Hell, some of them are looking for the ex's wife! UGH!

This phone number is linked to the Google Terrorist Calling Squad of Donkey humpers
They want you to list your business and pay for clicks, or, they will reduce your ranking.
If thats not a shakedown I don't know what is.

I also have the Digitone Blocker and yes, it is wonderful. The nice thing about the Digitone is that you can block ENTIRE AREA CODES. Often these scammers call from different numbers - from the same area code. Currently, I have 44 area codes blocked!
Also, our phones do not ring when a blocked call comes in - rejoice!

They called again - BLOCKED!
I have the entire 312 AREA CODE BLOCKED along with 43 other area codes.
Buy a call blocking phone or device - they work and they are inexpensive.

Received a robo-call. It said " the FBI ..." I hung up before I let it finish. The FBI doesn't send automated messages to businesses or homes in this manner. This number is from Texas

They called - did not answer - I pressed "block" on my phone.
Blocked forever.

This number is one of several numbers that call my work, where I am a receptionist answering phones all day. It is a recorded voice message selling business listings for GOOGLE. These recorded calls from GOOGLE come in to this office an average of 3-5 times a day. Every day. It is extremely annoying and interrupts my work flow. The thing that really gets to me is that there is supposed to be a law requiring telephone solicitors to remove your number from their list upon request. In my opinion, these recorded calls are just a sneaky way of getting around that law. There should be a law requiring companies who send out these calls to include an automated option for removal of your phone number from their list!

We rec'd a call from this number with only the number showing as the name on caller ID. I picked up the phone and hung it up because they are typically Google recordings. The same number rang back 5 minutes later and the name said "TBD" with the same phone # so I figured someone really needed to get a hold of us so I answered. It was silent for a few seconds then said "Google's warning to local businesses..." and I hung up. Didn't wait for it to finish. Four calls like this within a 6 minute time span. So sad that I can't work because these idiots keep blowing up my phone.

I received 2 called today from 312 683-9576, I listened as the recording told me "This is a google warning, to maintain my listing" and this is where I hung up. First of all if you want to actually speak to me about my listing, do not call me with a recording. Do not "warn" me of anything, that only pisses me off. Please stop calling me as my Web site provider deals with this.

This number has a pre-recorded message that begins with something about Google maps. I hung up and reported them to the Do Not Call Registry and have been doing this for about a year with noticeable success. If you want these annoying calls to stop interrupting your work, a complaint can be filed at: https://complaints.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx and takes less than one minute! We have been doing this successfully and are receiving far fewer unwanted calls from those annoying telemarketers.

When the government makes a law where the chance of getting caught and prosecuted are minuscule, and the benefits of breaking the law far out weigh the consequences, criminals will take the risk.
The DNC works very well for businesses who follow the rules. Think about this. Since you signed up for the DNC, when is the last time you got a solicitation from a legitimate business that didn't fall into the loopholes?
I've gotten none other than political calls, charities or surveys that aren't covered by the law.
The last issue is that this law only covers calls made within the US. Overseas callers are not obliged to follow the DNC. Many of the calls you get have spoofed numbers so they appear to be US callers when they are actually from overseas. You wouldn't answer a call from overseas, so why answer a caller you don't know? Just ignore the call. If it's important they'll leave voicemail. Robo callers rarely leave voicemail, because no one would reply to a scammer. Robo callers hang up on 4 or fewer rings. Set your voicemail to pick up on 5 rings and you'll virtually eliminate any SPAM voicemail.

Called on 01/24/14 @ 12:04 PM from Chicago, IL. Caller ID shows TBD. We don't answer callers we don't know. No message was left.
This sounds similar to Robo Rachel and her friends from the Card Services scam and Bank Services scam.
Those calls are generally from Washington and Oregon. I just got one from Idaho and have gotten Rachel's calls from many other states. I've gotten hundreds of Rachel calls every year for the last 3 or 4 years. Some are possibly Rachel impostors. Robo Rachel's Caller ID normally shows a "V" followed by 14 digits. That "V" call came 50 minutes after this one. Ugh!

Call rec'd 1/17/14 around 9:30am ...
Guess they haven't decided who they want to pretend to be after reading comments here ... caller ID just displayed TBD !
But now Jessica (name given in prerecorded msg) is delivering same "help lower credit card rates ... final notice before we close your file" message that used to come from Rachel at card-holder services.

Tried to call number back and no answer. Would never go through. Have our business numbers on the Do Not Call Registry and they still call. How's this possible? Anyone know??

The newer Panasonic cordless phones can block up to 250 numbers. Just check the specs before you buy one.

Robo call with pre-recorded message which is illegal according to the Do Not Call website. I'm filing a complaint. Scam to lower credit card rates.

Got a call from Chicago, IL. It said "If your insurance bill was paid on time, you are entitled to a refund. Press 9 to speak to a representative". It is not a telemarketer. It is a SCAM. Hangup.

I got a call last night at 4:54 pm. It shows up on our TV screen, 1-312-683-9576 TBD, and my Husband said, "TBD, to be determined!" And laughed.
I picked it up to find out what it was and not to be nice so they won't call back. "because you paid your credit card on time in the past 6 months, it wants to lower my interests rate...blah, blah, blah".
They didn't mention a Bank name, which my bank would, so I pressed 9 to have a word with a rep.
A woman picks up and starts talking. I cut her off with, "What bank is this? This is not my bank! How do you know my payments? Is this phone # correct so I can give the correct # to the BBB?" And hung up.
I don't think they'll be calling me again :)

Got this call just now. Caller ID said "TBD" (to be determined?) Rang for a while then hung up. Left no message. I do not answer calls if I do not recognize the caller ID. Too many crank calls these days.
