Missed the call from 312-683-9693. Caller ID said LPUW OFFERS.  A recorded female voice left the familiar message about lowering my CC interest rates. She said this was my last opportunity to lower my rates.  First time they have called from this number, but it's the same message. Will file complaint with the Do Not Call hotline.

Called at 12:30 PM right as I was starting to get to sleep from a long 3rd shift.  These guys are shady telemarketers who offer you extended warranties even when you are registered on the federal do not call list.  When prompted how many miles my car has I asked how big his dick was and advised the mileage was less than that.  When you call back you can press 1 to leave a message about their services or 2 to get on their do not call list.  Left about 20 voice mails with audio clips from gay pornography.  I don't think they will wake me up again.

Received a call this morning at 12:21, 12/18/13. They want to lower my interest rate on credit cards. Pressed 9 to be connected to a representative and asked them to remove the number from their database. He hung up on me, called the number back and it gave me the option to remove the telephone number. We will see if it works, may take 48 hours to remove.

This number called me and said since I paid my credit card bill on time for six months, I was entitled to a lower interest rate.  All I had to do is press "9".  Isn't that a number that allows the caller to get all your personal information?  This is outrageous what these scam artists get away with!

It appears that placing your number on the national 'Do Not Call' registry fails to prevent you from receiving calls from telemarketers.  Unfortunately, most likely the telemarketer most likely bought you numer from a sweepstake entry or similar that you may have unwittigly participated in.
Yes, receiving unwanted phone calls (hang-up type, annoyance, alarming, etc.) can be considered Harassment or Aggravated Harassment dependant on the laws of your state, but in order to follow-up with criminal you typically need to be able to identify the caller, and/or personally convey that you no longer wish to receive these calls, or be able to demonstrate an ongoing pattern of annoyance or alarm.

Your best bet would be to contact your State's Attorney General's Office and report the problem to them.  The Attorney General may already be developing a case against the company.

Caller for security systems is a company by the name of NACO. They are hired by security companies who don't know that NACO is violating the law. The owner of NACO is Nick Alberino and they were previously based out of Florida, but according to NC attorney general NACO has moved and left no forwarding address. If you want the calls to stop you need to schedule an appointment with their security company. When the installer arrives let them know you aren't actually interested in a system but that you were receiving harassing calls. BE POLITE - they were not aware that NACO was violating the law and being rude. The installer will likely put you on the phone with their boss who will reveal/confirm who the telemarketing company is. Let them know that you will be filing a report with your state over thus do not call practice and that you need their info and their help in catching the telemarketing company. File your report and good luck.

Keep reporting. Sooner or later they will get caught. You might check your state's Atty. General's office. North Carolina's does try to catch them if possible. Answering the call only tells them it is a working number.
Do not blow an air horn into the phone. They know who you are and your location....if the horn causes damage to any hearing.....you might be libel given today's juries.

Called a line at the office. Did not leave a message. Caller ID came up with LPUW OFFERS figure to be a scam...

Well the national do not call list is a f****ng joke. All it does is give these a***oles more numbers to call. The government does not care one bit about the calls....

I received my call from 312-683-9693  Male with India accent named Eric Marshall gave me his call back # 407-745-1617 ext ID# 8005. He assured me he was with CARD SERVICES, the company that mailed my credit card statements .Ten minutes later I got another call on a different phone number, when they answered I told her I was working with Eric and gave her his ID number,  She said she would transfer me.  I told her to givel him a message.  load up their phone number,  Give the caller his ID number leave him a massage. I suggested he enjoyed dating Jerry Sandusky.

so pressed 1 and a gal came on the line. She asked if I was "responding" to the offer to lower my interest.
I said "yes I was". She asked how many cards I had and if I had any company cards, asked how much I had on the cards, and asked what my interest rate was.
Decided - IT WAS TIME.
Played at full blast  for the SCAMMER - a raunchy YT song from my computer and she was gone PDQ.

Cardholder Services. Unless I'm mistaken, I thought the people behind these calls were supposed to be permanatly barred by the FTC?

I have received calls from this number and they never leave a message. And then yesterday while I was in the middle of an emergency, I answered the call without looking thinking it was important. They did not say a word. I have just added my number to the do not call list, so we will see. Why can't these telemarketers get a life and leave us alone. If they had anything I wanted, I would be calling them.

Called offering "a lower interest rate". . . . . . at 3:21AM!!!  No, that's not a typo, they blew this 78 year old and my sick wife out of bed at 3:21 this morning!  Thank God my phone provider (Brighthouse) gives me a call block feature!

If I had an address and thought I could manage it, I'd be on my way right now to kick in their door and let them know - in person - how I feel about their sleazy operation!

Received a call from LPUW at the number 312-683-9693.  Because of this site, I know that call is a junk call and is some kind of scam.  I am very thankful this site.
