2/5/08 - My daughter just received a call from this number - said it was CDC (Center for Disease Control). She said it was a computerized call and hung up. She also received a voicemail message (number unknown)yesterday. The man did not speak very good English so it was hard to understand what he even said, but he had an 800 phone number to call back.
We are on the DO NOT CALL list. Can they be reported?

This number called on a weekday evening and left a message asking me to return their call to participate in a survey to answer questions about the medications I may or may not give to my children (that I do not have). I never returned the call, but have received calls from this number EVERY DAY SINCE... going on 2 weeks. Since the one message, they have not left another.

Just called by this number. It was a computer calling my cell phone. They said they were from CDC and performing a survey. Left voice mail. Said for me to call back for survey and will be paid $10.00. Deleted message and filed complaint with donotcall.gov since I am registered.

I rec'd a message from a Disease Control center advising if I called back & gave the names and ages of my children & if they were immunized I would receive $10.for calling them back. The next day I had a missed call from this #312-759-2474, no message. I am on the do not call list. Why am I getting calls?

I rcvd several of these calls also with no message left. After reading some of the above comments, I was leary when they called again. Said they were from the CDC and if I answered their questions I would rcv $10 in the mail. Since I didn't have any children in the hse under 3, I answered their questions. About a week later I did receive the $10 cash in the mail with a legitament looking letter. Odd way to do business, but I spent the $10.

Any calls you receive from (312) 759-5298 or (312) 759-2474 are about The National Immunization Survey (NIS). This survey is sponsored by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), a federal agency of the U.S. government, and is conducted by the National Opinion Research Center (NORC) at the University of Chicago.
This important national survey is intended to improve the health of Americans by collecting information about childhood, adolescent, and adult immunizations. The information collected helps identify communities or areas needing additional resources for immunization programs.
You can access additional information about the NIS at www.cdc.gov/nis and about NORC at www.norc.org. Your questions can be addressed to CDC by calling toll-free (800) 232-4636 or sending an email using the link http://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/about/contact/nipinfo_contact_form.htm.
The National Do Not Call List does not apply to public health research, so it does not apply to the NIS. If you have concerns about being on the NIS calling list, please call toll-free (866) 999-3340.

My daughter received a call from this number on her cell phone. They said it was CDC (Center for Disease Control). It was generated by a computer and she hung up.

Called yesterday, and left a message asking me to call them back to participate in a 10$ survey. Today they called and asked if I had a land-line, and for the # of children between 12months-3years living in my household. Followed by a request for my name and address of where to send the 10$--------I left a address to a vacant building whose mail is forwarded to my home. Lets see if my 10 comes in!

Got the same kind of call today. Offering $10 for the information. Said my cellphone number came up on a list. Tried to get information about my family, the land line, and the name and address to send the money. Of course, got nothing but still disturbing!!

Yes seemed very fishy, considering they only asked questions dealing with the members my house hold and even wanted to know if we had a land line. Wanted to send us $5 to participating in the "survey" also
| MrX 2007-11-28 23:12:55 Unknown |
Supposedly from the Center for Disease Control (CDC) taking a survey on immunizations. Seemed fishy.
