I have had several calls from this number, just this week, today I was home and answered when I said hello they hung up!

I have doubts that every single person who commented on here knows what the federal government is. The federal government is the central government system in our country. It has multiple agencies that span a variety of different industries and basic services in America.

That being said, this is one of those agencies. No need to worry about them "stealing information" of yours. Why? The federal government already has it all. Never give your number out to anyone? No need to worry about how they got it. The federal government knows it. Stop acting like a bunch of conspiracy theorists and quit getting all paranoid about simple phone calls. Reporting them to the National Do-Not-Call Registry or the Federal Trade Commission isn't going to do anything -- they're their friends! You know what I did to make the calls stop?! I took the survey!

Your suggestion is poor advice.  The Do Not Call list is intended for *telemarketers*.  The CDC is the official U.S. government health and epidemiologic agency and is NOT a marketing agency, so calling filing a complaint is moot and silly.  The CDC uses random-digit-dialing in order to get a random sample of U.S. residents to accurately measure the frequency of certain health behaviors.  Their surveys are anonymous and/or confidential and provide incredibly valuable information to people like me that work to solve health issues at the town/county/state level.  If we took information from volunteers, it wouldn't represent the general population.

I just got a call from them saying they are from center of disease control or something. I lied and said I do not have kids.

I've also been receiving calls every night from 312 759 5255 , And they are filling up my voice mail with messages !  I use a tracfone , as I'm on a limited budget. Now it is interesting that they are calling  me about a CDC child study, But my only children have four legs and are furry !

I got calls from them, I told them to stop, don't use my minutes.. but they keep calling.. I need to block this number..

I keep getting a call from this number to they call me during school hours! i have gotten 3 detentions because of it and my dad grounded me cause he thinks its a sex call thing. they are freaking my life up why cant they just stop.

I keep getting these calls and I keep telling them I don't want to answer their questions. This has been happening for 2 months now. This survey was suppose to stop last year. How do you get them to stop callin?

This is the second time I've received a "missed call" from these folks.  I am also on the do not call list.   They call my cell phone which I hardly ever use because it is ONLY for the nursing home that my mom is in to use as an emergency number so every time this phone rings... my heart drops.  Now that I know it is the CDC... I will pick up next time and give them a piece of my mind and YES... the do not call DOES apply to the goverment... ESPECIALLY the goverment!

As others listed above, this is a call for a survey. They call SEVERAL times a day . They dont care what time of day it is. I am speaking with my mobile provider to see how to block this number. Its frustrating. These people have no life, esp. when they make MULTIPLE calls. You would think the first time I DIDNT answer it should be sufficent. Apparently not. Im almost tempted to call their number back and once they answer hang up (several times), OR tell them I have a survey for them! If company's do this sort of thing, I think they should legally only be allowed to call you once MAYBE twice and if you dont answer NEVER CALL BACK AGAIN!

This is from the CDC and is funded by our tax dollars hard at work.   They called me at 11 PM last night (10 PM their local time).  I don't know what makes me more made...them calling me, wondering how they got my cell phone which is on the DNC list, or seeing our tax dollars wasted on this crap?!

I keep getting these unwanted telephone calls from 312-759-5255, IL. It's getting very annoying.

This number keeps relentlessly calling my private cell phone that I don't give out the number to except to family.  Perhaps I haven't listed in on the national Do Not Call Registry (?)  I have not answered the calls since I don't recognize the number, it's good to see the validation here that it would be a waste of time.  I don't think my phone has a block feature but will try to find out, it's not very fancy.

The b@$tard$ called me at 10:30 at night.  One of the reasons I don't have kids is so I can sleep at night and yet they want to call and ask me questions about my non-existent children.

it's produced by random computer search so you are not protected no matter what you do. I guess you could block every number in the world but yours. Isn't technology so much fun?

I rec'd three calls in three days from this number on my cell phone.  I don't give out my cell phone # so how did they get it?  Would like this stopped.  I will not answer the phone when they call!!!!

This Number has called me 4 times in 4 days.  Four times in Four days on my cell phone, which is number I do not give out to anyone, But FAMILY! I called them back, I got elevator music and then a lady answered "National Vaccination Survey".

I have received at least 3 calls on my cel phone from this number, none of which I answered.  Today a voice mail was left on the cel by a woman claiming to be taking a survey on children's health by or for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).  Said sorry to have missed me and they would call back again, or I could call them at 866-900-9601.  I am listed on the DNC registry.
