I am a student at Kaplan and have been for the last three years and we received an email from the academic advising department which stated that students were receiving fraudulent phone calls from people claiming to be from Kaplan.
The phone calls we are receiving either want us to sign up for classes, which I'm already a student, or they claim that I need to send them money so they can release my student loans.

Call them back and have your number updated completely. Change it to the number of your local strip club/walmart/Mc Donalds/ or FBI office.

Ummm...did any of you ever think to ask to be placed on the "Do Not Call" list?  Not answering the phone does not communicate your desires to anyone.  All that does is indicate that maybe you were just not available AT THAT TIME.  Those that call out to you are not mind readers and go off the assumption that you requested information and they are calling to answer YOUR questions.

Kaplan Online University.  If you sign up for something that might sell your information they can get it.  NextTag partner's with them so they might get your number through them.

I have received two calls from this telephone number.  They do not leave a message so it is not an important call to me.  Glad to know it is telemarketers.  Have to go to the no call list again.

It's bad enough that all those telemarketers call my home phone, but now they've been calling my cell phone.  Do they not understand "DO NOT CALL AGAIN, I'M NOT INTERESTED"!  They need to stop bothering people, it's very irritating!

This number has been calling and calling my cell phone. They don't leave messages instead insist on just calling back.  Something needs to be done. I don't want them calling me any longer.

Yeah...this is definitely Kaplan. They have so many numbers they call from. It kind of threw me in a loop when they call from this number because I don't have it stored in my phone. The only thing I can say is be careful when feeling out college applications because more than likely...you'll recieve a calls from so many colleges who are looking for students to join their school.(even if you found the one you want!)

Was looking for some courses in a professional capacity, but got Kaplan University instead.  5 - 6 times a day this number appears on my cell phone.  I do not answer.

This is someone Spoofing their number. Seems to be some kind of investigator. He spoofs the Number of Kaplan University. Have you ever sold anything on Craigslist, etc? If so, he seems to call maybe to investigate to see if you're legit.....He is not a real Kaplan employee. This is a spoof

STOP ALREADY

I finally figured out how I got roped into receiving these relentless phone calls from Kaplan "University". Back during early summer (it is November as I write this), I went online and completed an informal questionaire to determine the best occupations for different personality types. It was a sidebar advertisement on some website I was reading. I completed the questions and they gave me my personality type and listed all the suggested occupations I might be interested in. I was happy, until... two online "degree" companies (I won't honor them by calling them universities, as they insist) started calling my cell phone daily, often twice a day. The number above ("Kaplan University") is still with me to this day. The other company was "Phoenix University", but they finally stopped calling me a month ago. Both companies are excessive in their phone calls. Please answer online questionnaires with great caution. At best, your email and phone will be inundated and they will try sales pressure to wear you down to join their "universities" and in the end, the degree is UNACCREDITED, and will not mean anything in your job search. This is a very lucrative business, and their websites look convincing. If you contact them, their sales staff is very good at talking you into coming in for a quick meeting. Trust your gut. Yeah they call me multiple times daily too. I called back and it was Kaplan

I did the samething, probably around the sametime of year because  I was job searching. This is probably how they got my info too.

I do not want Kaplan calling me i am tired of them calling and waking me up early in the morning.

Please stop caling Me this is Kaplan university! What the hell is wrong with you people! Damn!
