i got an unwanted text from this address. i googled it and they are coming from a known group of spammers called ccadvertising

This person or group manages to text me without showing their phone number. It shows an email of nc@voteoutbarakobama.com. I do not know who these people are and on searching found no such web site exists. I cannot find record of who they are or how they got my number to contact me to begin with. I got a text telling me to call 336-447-3857 to 'listen' to something in regards to blocking gay marriage in this state.

I will not call that number but searched it and found others who had identified the number for the same reasons.

1st, I did not give my number to ANY political group to contact me. Not on the right or the left. I do not use my phone for that. How these people got my number or thought they had any right to contact me is beyond me.

2nd, I do not like ANY company or person thinking that have any legal right to blindly contact me to suggest me vote one way or another on ANY topic. I do my own homework and research before I vote and do NOT need a stranger deciding for me.

3rd, My number IS on the 'do not call registry' and I am very careful to not give out my number and to double check the fine print on any web site that asks me to enter it. I make sure I do not accidentally allow some box to stay check marked without reading it. I am uber careful that way and this is the 3rd time in 10 years I got this kind of spam message on my phone. Showing how careful I am....

So..who ever you are... you are breaking the law and I texted back for you to remove me from your list. If you don't....trust me... I DO know all the proper authorities to turn you, your email and phone number  over to!

Receiving unwanted text from womensrights@obamasaliar.com.  These occur at all hours, 1 am even, and have been going on for several days.  I have tested stop as a reply and even contacted my carrier to block the number, but they still continue to get through.  Please help.

This is ridiculous and needs to be stopped.  What is hilarious about it, though, is that I worked for the Obama campaign in 2008!  This is not only illegal, but also misguided.  The DNC doesn't call Republicans to try to get them to change their mind (nor vice versa).   Instead, both sides concentrate on their base and let the candidates themselves handle undecideds.  For me, and apparently for most of the people on this site, all this does is anger me more.  I think it's actually motivating me to volunteer again.  Maybe we should let these do***ebags text bomb people all they want and help to ensure Obama's re-election.

It must be a scam rather than a real political deal. Even Republicans could hire someone to understand that the plural for mom does not involve an apostrophe.

I received a text message on my business cell phone -  What CRUST these people have !!!  I have a small business here in NW Montana ....  this message costs me 50 cents to receive !!!   I used to vote Republican, but not anymore !  Being in the over 60 age group and having heard them over & over again like a broken record regarding they are "fiscally responsible", they have NO RESPECT for the common citizen.  I will do everything I can to change my neighbors & friends minds about voting republican now.  THEY changed my mind by proving to me personally, they want to "win" this game even by ripping me off.  I'm sure 50 cents is nothing to them, but it will buy a banana or two for me.
