Call received early - and they woke me up. Not bloody likely that I will answer the phone when this happens.

Started receiving calls from this number (3128785648) yesterday (5/11/2010 @10:44AM MDT) on my work cell phone.  I did not answer it and they left no message.   Today I received their call at 12:28PM MDT (a few minutes ago).  This time I answered it because I have no reason to receive collection calls or the like.   There was no sound on the other end.  I waited 10 seconds and hung up.   Tomorrow, I'm going to wait as long as it takes to see if someone comes on and then I'm going to drill the guy - asking who they are and who he represents and from what list they got my number!

I received a call on 11-May-2010 from 3128785648 on my cell phone at 1:35pm central time.  I answered but no one was there.

They keep calling and not leaving any message. I dont pick up.

This has happened three days in a row now to my work number.  I picked up the first two times to silence.  The caller ID identifies it as "CIRCULATION".

It sounded like a middle aged southern black man (yep that makes me racist), said something about sending everybody in the neighborhood the Sunday Special, I replied with there would be no need for the Sunday special after I send you receive my Saturday night special, he hung up.................

I have been receiving phone calls from this number on my work line for the past few days.  There is never any sound on the other end of the phone and the caller never leaves messages.  I tried calling the number back and got a message that "all circuits are busy now."

It's Network World magazine circulation department, that's all. Quit whining and take your free subscription!

No. It's one good reason to cancel the subscription entirely. Leave a message or don't bother calling.

If I don't answer the caller hangs up after 3 rings.  If I do answer the caller hangs up.  This happens quiet often; it seems at least once a day.  Did not make a note of when it started, but it was not long ago.

I'm surprised that none of you have received a follow up phone call from a "live" person, after getting a "silent" phone call.  Usually silent phone calls are trolls trying to find out if someone is at home.  If one answers, then more than likely you are to get a followup phone call from a salesman later on. The silent calls are generated from a robot computer system. They are very annoying, but it's hard to catch them in the act.  One would have to know all the details about them before being able to turn them over to the govt.  This system is also used by corporate magazines when the subscription or a commercially related magazine is expiring.  The mags are free, but the price to pay is that one has to answer a whole bunch of annoying questions, when comes time to renew. And those questions are always the same, to renew the subscription, every year.

Starting last week I've been getting daily calls from this number with no msg. Today I picked up and said hello there was a silence delay then a woman with an Indian accent said hello twice and hung up.

I have been receiving same calls for a week, every day. I think these are "Spams" calls, that company is probably using a predictive dialer system that generate hundred or thousands of calls in a list, when a human voice answer the phone the system is supposed to connect a marketing agent to the call, but if there are no free agents the call stay in a queue (you don't hear anything). Bottom line these are more likely "Spam" phone calls and I won't answer them.

Ditto here, numerous calls to a cell.  Calling the number results in an "all circuits are busy" recording, but it's cut off at the beginning and doesn't have the three special information tones, so I'm guessing it's their private PBX.

This is a call from the people who handle circulation for Corporate Meetings & Incentives magazine. I answered and they were actually there and they asked if I'd like to renew my free subscription. I told them no and that they needed to remove this number from their list and they just called/hung up on me again today!

I've received a phone call from these Jokers - one per day - every day this week. They do not leave a message - and I do not answer. If they won't extend the courtesy of a message, I won't give them the time of day.

They keep calling me also yet never leave a message.  Curious who it is.  My number is on the do not call list too....

Caller ID comes up as Circulation.  Just received 2 calls in a row.  Answered both times.  They hung up both times.  Very annoying.  Anyone know who they are?

Same here.  Multiple calls, no message left and hangs up if I answer.  When I try to call the number, I get a message "All circuits are busy now".

I have received about 6 calls from this number. No message, hangs up if I answer. I have called back to find out who it is and I always get "All circuits are busy" message.
