continual calls approximately 15 today on google voice and obi; blocked calls on google voice, but calls continue c different area codes and numbers!!! Help

Also an attorney. Received a call this morning at 9:45am on my Philly line. Not automated. Soliciting American Bar Association memberships. I've considered the group unhelpful & irrelevant for more than 20 years, so I avoid. It's times like this I'm sooo glad I switched to an ObiTalk device (2 models, under $50, Amazon-- EASY setup; VoIP) with Google Voice friendliness. Went to Google Voice site immediately after call, and set this to Block. The phone will never ring from this group again.

Called me this morning - I answered after 3 rings. Recorded message "not a sales call so do not hang up". Then went into a talk about have you or any of your loved ones used allergy medication.... not interested in joining any lawsuit, so I hung up.

Same here! I also keep getting calls from a 1-312-878-5685. When I called it back it does this long beep and then says "im sorry your call did not go through" With both numbers it did the same thing!!

Received a call from this number on 28-Jul-2009 @ 4:15 PM Eastern Time; did not pick up call; caller left no message.

Got a call fomr this number and my son answered. (I hate when he does that) no name on the caller ID. They asked for me personaly, asked when would be a good time to call back. Wouldn't leave any return call information. I'm fortunate to have a call block feature on my phone. Ill be adding them to the list :)

We have received repeated phone calls from this number usually around the same time every morning and when answered the caller either hangs up or refuses to leave a message.  If this is in fact the bar association soliciting membership, these calls are rather inappropriate and disruptive.

Numerous calls from this number but no called ID or message.  Very irritating.  If it is the ABA, I'll give them hell.

I am a receptionist at a law office, and in the last couple of days, we have been getting an egregious number of calls from this number -- I am at 6 calls today, and it's only 10am. Very annoying, as it interrupts me from other work, and when I answer, the caller simply hangs up.

The last time they called, there was actually a person on the other end. She asked for one of our attorneys, who happened to not be here, and refused to leave a message, saying she will call back at a later time. I certainly hope not.

Work at atty office. ABA solicitation. Our attys hate these calls, so I don't put any through to them.

Am an attorney and have received several calls from this phone number with the ID "Bar Association." Have not tried to return call, but no message is ever left.

Received call at law firm 11:44a 8/17/2009. Answered after 1 ring. They hang up.

Same here everyone, I am a legal assistant in Florida and I got this call several times. Anything that says Bar, I usually grab right away but then it's just a hang up. Very annoying.

I received a call from Chicago, Ill 312 878 5685 at 10:45 EST on 8/12/09. This is not the first time I received a cal from this number. It did not come in on a main telephone line. It came in on a roll over line. There was dead air with a hang up.

They have called me 4 times from their 312-878-5685 number. It says Bar Association on the caller ID. Very annoying. One time a lady said they wanted to tell me about their products. Told her I was clearly not interested, but the calls continue. Get a life!

I am an attorney located in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.  I received a call from this number this morning. The caller I.D. read "Bar Association".  I tried to return the phone call but I received a message from operator that it could not return this call. "2 ii".  

I recognize the area code as a call coming from Chicago area. I recently returned from a 3 day trip from Chicago.  I don't know if there's any connection there but I wanted to note it.

I'm an attorney who just got my second call from these folks.  It was an ABA membership solicitation, or at least it purported to be.  Obviously an automated call center, and, as you know, those are prone to disconnect regardless of the fact that a live human answers the phone.

Mystery solved.  This is a call made on behalf of the American Bar Association.  They are pitching memberships.  It's some sort of call center because you can hear the chatter in the background, and the nice lady on the phone was obviously reading from a script.

Got this call a couple minutes ago.  Caller hung up when I answered "Good morning, _______________ attorney's office."  Very annoying as this is a law firm too.  Very misleading of them to have "Bar Association" in their caller ID.  Hope they'll call back so I can tell them so.

Received a call from this number.  As I am an attorney, I pay particular attention to anything from a "Bar Association".  I attempted to return call, but received a "your call may not be completed as dialed.  please check the number and call again.  2 i i."  I have no idea what "2 i i" means, but I tried twice to call the number and got the same message.

Called 5:50 pm Eastern.  Caller ID reads "Bar Association".  No message.

Received call approx. 3:00 p.m. CT 7/28/09, no message left on recorder.  
Solicitation?  Will not answer if called again.
