Do not believe this explanation -- just received a call today and when I answered they hung up. I have a high credit score and a perfect rating with NO debts (past or present) even late, let along in collection. That is NOT the source of this call, unless of course they have the wrong person. I have had my phone number for years and it is a cell.

Have gotten calls from this number for the past 2 weeks, they always hang up.

Calling about a contest. They have called multiple times

I received two to three calls from this number a week for the last couple weeks. This is a work number. They only ever hang up.

its a law firm. you all owe a debt and have/or will be served for amounts ranging from 500 to 10,000.   if they identify you and your number is a land line it will be evidence that you live/visit that land lines physical address. If your line is a cell they may try to meet you under false pretenses. keep in mind the county must attempt to serve you first but after they do(and if they dont locate you) then the "special" (private) servers come looking. Also... by this time your debt cannot be negotiated as a law firm has already taken the case (and will get paid by getting a judgement against you).

This is spear headed by a large financial company. Old practices of small amounts just going on your credit report dont fly with this company anymore.

This # has started calling me too. They don't leave a message. I guess I will file with Do Not Call also.

This is a call from WJMK, K-hits radio station in Chicago about how to play their latest contest.  When I told her I was on the Do Not Call list, she responded, "this is a radio station".   I told her that makes no difference and hung up on her.

GETTING CALLS FROM 312-929-1870 ALMOST DAILY AND THEY NEVER LEAVE A MESSAGE.  CALLER ID LISTS THE NUMBER AS "STOP IL TAX".  I ASSUME IF THEY DO NOT LEAAVE A MESSAGE, THEY ARE NOT LEGITIMATE.

Left no message.

Woman called and said she was calling from K-hits and then some garble I could not understand.  Told her I don't listen to that station.  Was confused as my caller ID said STOP THE IL TAX.  So I hung up.

312-929-1870 called this afternoon but left no voice mail message.  Added it to the blocked number list on my Digitone Call Blocker 10 gadget.

Caller ID displayed  "CHICAGO"

I got at least 5 calls from this #. When I try to call back, I got no answer.

Just had a missed call...tried calling back and it's a voicemail.

I received a call from this number, when i tried calling back it also sent me directly to a vm, i just wish it would stop calling me.

I also received a call from 312-929-1870 & they left no message & when I called back it had a voicemail w/no identification on who~what~when~ or where the # is from. Its starting 2 tick me off a lil bit. They continue 2 call I will also file a complaint w/the Do Not Call Registry. Wasting my minutes!

I continue to receive calls from this number:  312-929-1870.  The latest was a black womam telling me she was from Phillip Morris and wanted to know if there were any smokers in my home.  When I communicated no - she hung up.

received 4 calls from this number.  They always hang up when I answer.  I called back and it goes directly to voice mail without identifying the name of the company, etc.  I asked them to stop calling.  Received another call this morning, and filed a complaint against them with the National Do Not Call registry.

I got a call from them a few days ago. The identified themselves as a pollster working for Philip Morris, and they wanted to know my opinion on an increase in the Illinois Cigarette Tax. I gave them an answer, but they've called me three times since then. No voice. They just ring and hang up.

Got a call from this number, there was a silence for a few seconds then I hear a male voice asking my opinion on the increase in the illinois tax on cigarettes.  I think its a kinda survey
