They left a message saying i lived in Hamtramick?

Dte called and left a message saying they needed to get into my yard and the gates were locked, i live in Livonia? When i called back it was a non working number in Detroit.

I called this number back, got a busy signal, then called DTE directly and they said the number  313-235-2846 is NOT a DTE number and if they call again, simply ignore it.

This number keeps calling me, but leaving no VM.   Reverse look-up has it as DTE, but that's NOT the customer service phone number that appears on my bill.   I'm reporting them to the Better Business Bureau.

This is DTE confirming whether or not my power was restored, since I had reported it last night.  Much appreciated.

same here...power outage 2 nights ago, reported it online and gave them my phone # as a contact, bet it's a follow up call...they could at least have left an automated voice message

Do like I do.  If you get unwanted calls from DTE and have asked them not to call than call DTE direct and make a complaint.  If we all do this I am sure their office will wise up and stop being such a pain in the a...   If they want to waste my time when I am busy than I can waste theirs when I am not.

They now are calling me with UNAVAILABLE calls so now I also send them emails on their site.  I also will fill out as many of these on every site I can find to let all know what DTE is really like.  GET THE WORD OUT and do the same!  We do not need this kind of disrespect.

I got that same number calling me and they do not leave messages.  I do not even live in Detroit, so I don't know why that area code would affect me.  I am a student if that is similar to anyone else?

I just got a call from this number this morning. They called twice but did not leave a message.  When I called back it said it was a non-working number for DTE Energy Downtown Office and then hung up. We had a power outage yesterday morning (and we called them about the problem) and then it came back on 10 hours later. Maybe they were calling to check up.

This just means someone from DTE was trying to call you. My dad works for DTE and if he calls me from a facility phone instead of his cell phone, this is the automatic number that comes up. Usually it's personal calls though - business calls will come from a different number, like an 800. If it were a business call too, such as for an interview, then they would have left a voicemail. Hope this helps anyone!

Yes it is DTE, you may of contacted them reguarding a power outage. They were calling back to be sure your power was restored and apologize for the  inconvenience.

I just received a call from this number as well and live 300 miles away from Detroit and have no connection to DTE!  There was no immediate response when I answered the phone so I hung up.

Comparable message, wanted to make sure power was on after the storms.

It is DTE energy. We had a power outage and reported it. The next day the call to make sure power was restored.

Definitely DTE - same Customer Service Rep I spoke with yesterday.  The call was to follow up on our power outage, to confirm we have service, and to apologize for the service interruption.
