The thugs from DTE Energy keep calling me every day and every week -- even after you tell them you don't want whatever it is they're selling and to please stop harassing you. Apparently, they don't understand English because they just keep calling and claiming they're from DTE Energy. They always have a new con artist call every time, too, which is extremely convenient. These thugs need to be stopped -- even if they are "legitimate" DTE Energy employees and/or contractors.

So here's a message for anyone and everyone who works at DTE Energy in the State of Michigan -- Stop harassing people when they tell you they're not interested in your "home protection plus" insurance plans. We all know these gas company insurance plans are just a big scam, anyway.

Harassing your customers doesn't make any sense!

The phone number 313-235-2846 is a DTE phone number that they can only make out going calls from. You can't call them back. It is  a DTE marketing phone number that rings out to 25 calls at one time. And they take the first person who answers the phone. That is why when you answer nobody is there. DTE should not be using this multi-caller comp feature. They know these calls go out to 25 phones and that 24 of you will get no answer. But DTE does not care if they are bothering you at home, they want to sell you something. DTE is in there eyes "GOD". You can't stop them from doing anything. To big to deal with. So all you people that do not like these DTE calls from 313-235-2846..get use to it, they will do what they want and will not stop!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And nothing you can do to DTE the big GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I keep getting calls from 313-235-2846. My caller ID says DTE Energy. When I answer nobody is there. I keep getting this calls once or twice a week. Never leave a message either.

Sorry folks I meant....which as a customer we would have never BEEN informed...please excuse the typo!

Call DTE Engery 1-800-477-4747... they may not have applied your monthly payment to your home protection plan properly...thus possibly generating these unwanted calls...you may find as I did that DTE Engery was not forwarding our HPP payments (home protection plan payments) to the proper department...which as a customer we would have never be informed  because the bill shows that we are current...or call 1-800-556-0011 which is DTE Home Protection Plan directly...call I am pretty sure you will find that your plan has been somehow placed in the rears....even though your paper bill show you are current...you will not owe anything just call and tell them to re-allocated the funds to the Home Protection Plan...I hope this works for everyone it did for us...all the BEST!

They have been calling me, DTE energy is what the caller ID says, multiple times a day for at least a week.  Even if I get to the phone by the second ring there is never anyone on the line.  I have asked to be placed on the opt-out list for the Smart Meter installation taking place in my area, so I do want to communicate with them.  But if they keep hanging up, how is this possible?  Why bother to call if you don't leave a message and keep hanging up?  Returning the phone call to the number, no matter when, only results in a busy signal.  Calling their central phone number is a waste of time - noone has any clue about the phone number or the reason for a call.  That is, if you can get out of the automated phone system!

Started answering this number as I thought there must be some reason DTE kept calling me.  I've answered 4 times in 3 days.  Sounds like a foriegn/india male, and he hangs up after he asks for Mr. or Mrs. and I answer.  Weird! I finally blocked the number after reading this and seeing it's really not DTE.

Stop calling.  How many times must I say 'no thank you?'  You call twice a week at least!

they Call Me and want my Social.....I say: First of all, you called me ! I did not call you, AND this number is an OLD NON WORKING DTE NUMBER !  SO.....Its very clear someone is "Spoofing" the Number...Most likely right threw "Google Voice".......AND if its for  "Home Protection Services" That CLEARLY means they would be Offering to sell you something, which would NEVER REQUIRE giving a SS number !  I called DTE and the woman said :  yeh, They are "spoofing" because DTE has used "235" numbers, however they do not contact you from them, and she is Contacting Security and they are going to try and see about tracing .....Just trying to help others out here.......And yes ! they have called a cell number here WHICH they HAVE NEVER HAVE BEEN GIVEN !  (DTE hasnt been ever given the cell phone number)  so yeh...........BEcareful !

I answered the phone from DTE Energy and they said they would send me out the appliance coverage plan to compare. But before they hung up they said I was enrolled in the plan which I did not agree to. Tried to call back and all I get is a busy signal. DTE was no help. Looked up my account and said I was not enrolled.
What kind of customer service is this? Something is not right here.

Have had calls from this number  - 313 235 2846 - for months without answering the phone. Finally answered and asked why they keep calling - they just hung up on me. I called the REAL DTE Energy and they said it was not there company.... and then later hung up on me when I asked for a supervisor.

I did call the REAL DTE energy and talked with customer service - Yes, they were about as helpful as calling back the 313 235 2846 number. Asked for a supervisor and after a minute was hung up on. And I pay these idiots to supply me with gas.

Multiple calls for a couple of weeks - several times a day - always hang up - no message left. Fed up with it. Caller ID says DTE energy.

I just called DTE and complained.  I was told by the person I spoke to that they will follow up and the calls should stop.

Same script as other scammer. "Hello is this Mrs. Jones" I've gotten a few calls like this listed as DTE and I answer one day it may really be them.

They keep calling me ten to twenty times per day.  I picked up a couple of times and no one was there. I did a reverse check to see what number and it was 313-235-2846.  When I call back no one answers.  They start calling about eight in the morning, and it continues until about six in the evening.  I'm really sick of the calls from this number.

Same here, thought was robo dial, picked up and said hello several times no one there.  SCAMMMMM

Identified themselves as DTE, but talked very fast and slurred thier words, did not sound right.  They wanted to sell appliance insurance,at least they said.

I have called and simply told them, 'I do not want any tele-marketers callingg'.  

We'll see how that goes!

UP DATE

Do like I do.  If you get unwanted calls from DTE and have asked them not to call than call DTE direct and make a complaint.  If we all do this I am sure their office will wise up and stop being such a pain in the a...   If they want to waste my time when I am busy than I can waste theirs when I am not.

They now are calling me with UNAVAILABLE calls so now I also send them emails on their site.  I also will fill out as many of these on every site I can find to let all know what DTE is really like.  GET THE WORD OUT and do the same!  We do not need this kind of disrespect.
