Got a call on my cell phone from this number.  Can't believe even cells now get robocalls.

They called me from this number just a couple minutes ago. I didn't answer... They didn't leave a voicemail.

This number called us while we were away on vacation.  No message was left because our machine was full, thanks to our STUPID mayor putting UNNECESSARY pre-recorded messages about storm alerts on our answering machine.

Just posting here because I wanted everyone to know that Caller ID posted "DERRICK COMPANI" [sic].  Probably short for 'DERRICK COMPANI*ES*" as if that were supposedly legit or something.

Oh, and from the above reports, call type should be "SCAMMMER/FRAUDSTER/IDENTITY THIEF"

here is the partial message they left (since the computer-voice was mid-sentence when Google Voice started transcribing it for me):

i have no idea whether they are legitimate, so i just told Google Voice to block any further calls from them.  EOS !

getting really frustrated with these idiots keep calling my cell. No message left and I will not call them back. More and more are calling cells. Never had so many different numbers calling before. Reporting doesn't help.

I have had 4 calls today. why report these calls nothing is ever done to put a stop to them?

Called cellphone, I did not answer, no message.  Very disconcerting since I have a dying relative in Detroit and thought it might be an emergency.

This is an all out attack from these scum suckers! EVERYONE should be reporting them everywhere that they can. Since this is an obvious attempt at identity theft and is interstate, the FBI should be forced to get involved.

Rec'd the call on my cell, ignored it,  and returned the call a few minutes later. The recorded message said I had reached the Consumer Credit Reporting Industry's "optg in/opt out" number and then gave me three choices regarding future calls. I chose the option to never be called again.......and then I was asked to leave my social security number to confirm. Rather than leaving that info, I left them with a slew of vulgarities. Sue me, baby.

The Do Not Call List is a list.  Telemarketers are required by law to buy a copy of the list and not call anyone on the list.  Legitimate telemarketers - the time share sales pests and photography studio pests who used to call me - follow the law.  I haven't gotten a call from them in more than 10 years.

For a scammer the Do Not Call List law is just one more law to break.  Many of the callers are located outside the US, out of reach of US law enforcement.

My cell phone is on DNC list for 3 yrs but still telemarketers are able to get thru.  This # has called quite a few times.  I never answer & it continues to ring.  Does DNC really work?

Called my cell as it appears they done with a lot of cells. Rarely do I see this when looking at other postings. Somehow they got a list of cell #'s. Like others, my cell is also on the DNC.

This Scam Telemarketer ignores DNC list and laws.

The bottom line is that you can't do absolutely nothing about being called by telemarketers, debt collectors, etc. UNLESS you take it to court and file a lawsuit. If you don't you are really wasting your time and even posting your complaints here. What's the point? You complain on a board like this and think they will stop calling you?

I had to go after Sallie Mae for harassing me up to 8x per day every single day. I had to file 2 complaints with the FCC, a complaint with the FTC and BBB. In addition I retained a lawyer to go after them

because the TCPA (Consumer Telephone Protection Act) is what you can used against solicitation if they call you on a cell phone or any type of communication that cost you money and you can get up to $1500 per violation.

Definitely a bad player. This number called my cell.   When called back I received a recording asking for date of birth, social security number and full name under the guise of the "opt out" program.  I hadn't called the "do not call" number for over a year.  Very slick recorded voice but I believe it's a more sophisticated version of Phishing.

The party at 313-444-2949 was unable to leave a message as I do not have VM or answering machine in operation.  They called at 8:23 AM, MST, Feb. 12, 2013.  Later when I looked at the caller ID, I assumed it was a wrong number, but then checked it out anyway.  Glad I did!  Caller ID showed "DERRICK COMPANI",  so it had the appearance of being legit.

Just received a call from this number and let it go to v/m.  The caller said her name was Ashley and she was calling me back after talking to me last week.  She said she could get my interest rate down to 9% on my gas card. (funny, I don't have a gas card), she also said that they could get my interest rate down to single digits on all of my credit cards.  I did not talk to anyone about this EVER.  Stop calling me!
