I have calls several times a day from NAPAAL, but different telephone number.  LEAVE ME ALONE!!!!  913-297-6501

Ah yes!  Nothing like a call from NAPAAL.  I have three lines coming into my house; the published number, a second line that is only given to friends and family and a third for the special friends and family.  Through my telco (was BellSouth but now AT&T)each of those lines has a distinctive ring.  In addition, I use Directv instead of cable.  Directv has a feature that you can turn on so that when the phone rings, caller ID will pop up on the screen of the TV so you can decide to pick up or not.

One day, I got a call on one of the other lines.  The Caller ID identified no name, but it did list the city from where the call dialed.  Since my son travels quite a bit, I thought maybe it was him calling from a hotel.  When I answered there was a moment of silence and I knew I had a telemarketer.  He was using some info from the telco of some databank as he asked if he was speaking to xxxx yyyyyyy.  When I answered the afffirmative, he gave me his name (?) and started his salespitch.  It was always XXXX this or XXXX.  I finally said that he had my permission to call me Mr. YYYY at anytime (It is an egregious insult in the South to call someone by their first name instead of Mr or Ms until you have known them a while).  He did not take the hint despite continued  repeating of my admonition.  

When he stopped to take a breath, I quickly seized the moment to ask one question.  How much of the money that you are asking for will actually be received by the charity?  After heming and hawing, I got him to say 40%.  I thanked him for his time, no donation will be sent to you, and put me on your "no call" list.

I just got woke up by NAPAAL, they were trying to get donations for childrens playground equipment,what they do is try to get you to say yes to one of there questions while their recording you. then they can use your yes to a different question without you knowing it, I got a call from NAPALL 215-436-8696 at8:12 and another at 8:18   from a private caller at 201-917-1787, I didnt answer the second call but that might be from them to.

I just had the phone ring and the caller ID said NAPAAL so I did not pick it up.  I jumped on the computer and it led me to this site.  

My Dad put a cool thing on my phone that plays the tune to "Charge!", if it is a local number or number I have on my caller ID list of people I normally call.  That way, I also know whether to answe3r it or not.

I have been receiving several calls from NAPAAL from number 434-878-9985.  I did find out that if you call 1-800-396-1757 from the phone they are calling you on you can have your number deleted by pressing option 9.  So far so good.  I still find it ridiculous that charities and political solicitation is exempt from the do not call list.

They call & hang up when the answering machine kicks in.  I want people to know that they use local numbers as well.  I found out through this site that they are soliciting.

Oh, yes, they will answer.  And it won't be a machine!  They are the National Association of Police Athletics Leagues.  They are intimidating in the way they beg for donations.  I don't answer the phone anymore because I give locally to needy organizations.  They continue to call day and night at least twice a day.  Very harassing.

I just got one this morning in DE too Bayside girl. Same number and everything. I hope this does not begin a few weeks of random calling!

My Napaal phone number is 302 990-2958.  They call every Sunday morning at 8 am.  Calls throughout the week at all times..  for months now.  My thoughts are going to an unlisted phone number... How can we stop this nuisance????

I just got one of these calls and the no. was  913-549-1081.  I think 913 is still a Kansas area code.

my calls come from the 434-878-9985 number, six calls in 3 days, no answer when you pick up, phone co. says the do not call registry should handle that but they don't.

Had the same calls a number of times. I do not pick up, they (Napaal) only lets the phone ring 2x. They are a pain!

Been calling for a couple of weeks - comes up as 434-878-9985 and when we answer - often no one there

I am receiving calls from NAPAAL from the number 262-228-5800 which is SE Wisconsin. 10 calls in the last six days and coming in anytime between 8 AM and 9 PM. I don't answer and they don't leave a mesasage.

I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one that hates these phone calls.  These people are tenacious and annoying.  They've been calling my house up to 3 times a day for weeks!!  I usually don't answer them, but my husband has called the number back and never gotten a response.  We also received a call 2 nights ago from a company named THPROA with a 615 area code that we assume to be the same company, so be forwarned they are changing their name!

Call from NAPAAL in Md. Phone #410-968-7987 with same caller ID.  I, too, receiving multiple calls with this ID.  Today, I answered and they said my last name, when I asked who was calling, they disconnected.

They are using auto dialers. That's why there is no answer when you first pick up. Some times the auto dialers mess up and hang up on you instead of switching it to an operator like it is suppose to do.

I never give to these types of organizations because once you do they sell your number on a "hot list" and every charitable organization in the world will suddenly start calling you. I had this happen once and it got so bad that not a minute went by without one of these people calling. It took me years and several unlisted numbers to get rid of them all.

Calling from a 502 area code here in KY, but from NAPAAL.  What do they get out of not responding when people do answer?  I didn't answer but read the comment above that said they did.

that's the number i got tonight too. I thought it was kind of funny to see how annoyed everyone is about the NAPAAL calls.  When I looked it up online I didn't expect to find anything but this fun little website popped up.  It's only my first call from them so should I receive more I promise to complain more thuroughly. :-)

I called the number back and there was a lady on the other end that claimed her phone has a glitch and will call people at random, which I believe to be bogus.  She claimed she has called verizon and they couldn't do anything about it.  Maybe if everyone keeps calling her back after they receive a random call then that would convince her to get her glitch fixed, well that is what I will be doing, do what you want, but if have to deal with annoying then she does too.

Call came in @ 8pm tonight while I was out.

Caller ID states "NAPAAL"; ph # 434 878-9985.

No message left.

Too bad we cannot have some sort of device to send a few (higher voltage) electrons back their way... maybe they'd knock their poo off! Arrghh!

They call almost daily.  When we answer there is usually nobody there, most of the time we don't pick up and they don't leave a message.

We've been getting calls from NAPAAL as well but the number comes up as (434) 878-9985.

We don't typically answer these types of calls, however, we have been getting a large number of them recently, from all different states (we live in VA, last night we got a call from the Colorado State Troopers Association wanting donations. Weird.)  So, I have started answering these calls to let them know not to call us anymore, HOWEVER, everytime I have answered the NAPAAL calls, there is never anyone on the other end.  GRR.

Wish there was a way to include these types of calls on the Do Not Call list as well as the Call Intercept programs through the phone companies.

Started calling on Saturday afternoon.  They never leave a message but their calls are not welcome here and I will not answer them.

They're not getting any donations from us !!!  They call constantly.  Is there anyway to make it stop???

These are the most tenacious fund raisers I've ever seen - we never pick up & they have been calling for weeks!  All hours of the day & night!  Does anyone know how to block them?
