DSO lost me as a customer. I received 2 phone calls from this number tonight. Also be careful when ordering tickets from DSO online. They tell you total charges on one page for tickets and then when you confirm the purchase the confirmation shows a higher charge. I complained about it by email and phone but never got the courtesy of a response. Questionable ethics!!

Thanks...I get this number often. I'm wondering if I should continue to support the Symphony, since they are selling my number to a marketing agency.

I received a call and it was from what sounded like an older gentleman.  I don't give out my credit card info over the phone.  When the caller said that I had to take advantage of the deal immediately I declined.  He said they couldn't email me or send me anything through USPS because they found that to be a waste of time and money.  I was a little convinced when he gave me dates for previous DSO events that I had attended in order to prove that the call was legit.  Still didn't sound quite right and the call just didn't seem professional and I know the DSO  to be very professional.

Actually this is a marketing company hired by the Detroit Symphony. Beware. If you want to support the symphony, buy the tickets directly from them, not through this marketing company. If you buy or donate through this company the symphony only gets 50%.

Plus they lied to me last year. They said they would exchange tickets for me before I received them. When that didn't happen I called the symphony directly to ask if I'd been lied to. That's when I received the information about the marketing company's take. When they called me last night, they denied they'd ever promised to do it, but it was the same woman, and I remember it well.

That is true, I haven't been there in 3 years, and they call me every summer. A no just means better luck next summer.

Justin,

No wonder the future of America is so bleak. You can't even sit through a 2 hour performance of an cultural event. You even had a paid ticket. Were you worried about missing an episode of the "Jersey shore."

I hope they call you ever night!

Relentless calling. Bought a ticket for Handel's Messiah for a project, just needed the stub. Faked the paper and got a A. Didn't even go see the play and these people won' t stop calling. I appreciate the DSO for being a gem and all, but you need to realize I'm 21 and a college student. I don't want season tickets.

No, DSO does not take our numbers off the list after we tell them not to call.  That's a lie.

It is the DSO trying to sell you season tickets.  Don't make the mistake of picking it up like I did.  Annoying!

This number calls a couple of times a week, never leaves a message, I never pick it up.  I think it is the Detroit Symphony trying to sell season tickets
