They called - I let it go to answering machine - they did not leave a message.

If you call the telemarketers back, they are then free to call you without repercussions from the Federal government UNLESS you tell them to take your name and number off their list.

I've been receiving numerous telemarketing calls to my phone, which is registered with the Government's Do Not Call List, and also telemarketing text messages.  You must keep a log of the number, date, and time of the call.  If they persist in calling past the 30 days grace period after you tell them to stop, they should be reported to the DoNotCall Registry - http://www.DoNotCall.gov - and they can be fined up to $11,000 per violation once reported.  You must provide as much information as possible - who called you, dates, times, telephone numbers, what it was about, etc. for the Feds to be able to prosecute and fine.

Telemarketers are governed by Federal laws requiring them to only call during certain hours ( 8 am to 9 pm in whatever your time zone is) and requiring them to NOT call if you tell them to remove your name and number from their list.

It is also highly recommended that you list with your state's Do Not Call Registry as well, as the Federal registry does not govern telemarketing calls which happen within the same state.

They just contacted me about 11:45 a.m....This was an automated call.  The message said to press 1 which I did...a man got on the and I asked who is this that's calling on my cell phone, and he immediately ended the call.  I tried calling back, but the line was busy and has remained that way.  

Also, I see where someone said it's a debt collection agency, but I has no outstanding debt at all.  So, I honestly don't know what type of possibly fraudulent company this may be.

Got a call from this number many times....no answer at the other end.

Got an automated call from this number on my phone in Louisiana.  Hung up!

GOT A CALL, pressed #1, the guy (Antony) asked me to confirm my REQUEST to lower the credit card rate. I told him NO, and asked what company he is with, he immediately hang up.

Received 4 calls from this number to my cell. Each time they call I am charged. The record says "that my credit card has a problem..." I do not give my cell phone to the bank. How can I stop them?

I, too, received a call from this number and heard the recorded message that others have described.  The pitch is deceptive, illegal, and, when sent to a cell phone, a waste of the recipient's money.

Just got this call regarding lowering interest rates on my credit cards... the alarming thing is that I got it on my CELL PHONE.  Don't know where they would get that number without hacking me.

THEY USUALLY GET YOUR CELL FROM THE CREDIT CARD COMPANIES OR WHEREVER YOU MAY HAVE ENTERED YOUR NUMBER ONLINE...THEY ARE PIGS

I just got a call from this number.  The message was a very upsetting FINAL NOTICE for my credit card account!  This made me so mad, as I don't have any monthly balances on my credit cards, so I pushed then number they listed to get more information.  When some idiot came on the line to "help" me lower my interest rates, I ordered him to take my number off the list and never call me again. I also told him I didn't have any VISA cards.  He told me yes I did, and I owed $14,000!!! I called him a liar and told him I was going to report him...He was very unprofessional and got very rude and nasty when I confronted him and demanded that he remove my name from his list. Don't EVER talk to these people.  It is a scam!  What frightens me is he had my name and cell phone number, and I don't know how he would have gotten that at all!

Said to press 1 to speak with someone, about my credit card debt. I dont own a credit card and never have. Tried calling back and no answer. Would love these calls stopped.

They just called a cell phone that has been on the do not call list for over a year.  The number has not been given out publicly to any company.  No one seems to be able to get enough information on who is behind these calls to collect anything from them.  These calls were most likely made from an automated dialer, calling random numbers.  Complaining to the FTC and FCC does no good, as they both tell you that without knowing who is doing the calling, nothing can be done.

Called my cell a couple of days ago. They've called our cells & our business number off - n - on for the last year. Nobody will give any information when asked. It's about lowering credit card fees.

I'm living in Florida, but originally from Michigan. Got a call from 313-749-0342 today & thought it might be a friend from Michigan trying to contact me as 313 is a Michigan area code. Imagine my surprise/disgust when it was a recorded message to lower my credit card rate. I DON'T HAVE ANY CREDIT CARDS!!!. It is obviously some sort of scam. How did they get my cell phone #? My phones have been on the Do Not Call list forever. I think I'll wait for a human to come on the line if it happens again and blow an air horn into the microphone. Perhaps then they will not bother me again.

Maybe time for someone to sue them? Especially someone who gets calls from them constantly?

Just got a call on my cell from this number, didnt answer.  In Louisiana.  How can they get all this info like this?  Wonder if it has anything to do with the information that was taken from Chase or Target this week?

This is a scam. All my bills are paid on time.

Just got this call.  Guy was asking me questions about my current debt and interest rate, promising to lower the rate thanks to some financial stimulus act passed.  When he wanted to verify my credit card number I told HIM to verify my card number and how do I know this isn't a scam.  He told me I could always cancel my card and that giving my number to waitors at restaurants is riskier.  haha.  I asked him for some information about his company and a website I could go to.  He told me that they wouldn't give it to me until after I "qualify".  No thanks buddy.  I definitely entertained this guy for longer than I should have.  Stay away.

Received a call from this number on my cell phone at 3:47 P.M.  I did not pick up.

Got a missed call on my cell from this #, and I almost never give out this #. Good to know not to call back. I'd like to know how they got the #, I'm Verizon, what is everyone else? Maybe they are dialing at random.
