calls every day. leaves no msg. this is not a sanctioned charity in mo. this is a for profit group of scammers. they are not stupid. if you block 314 416 1300 they come in under 11314161300? be aware and report them, early and often. this is a money maker with NO scruples. always remember, karma has no conscience.

Why should anyone have any "compassion" when they've repeatedly asked to be removed from the call list and the calls keep coming?  People shouldn't have to "just keep asking"!

This is a legitimate "clearinghouse" of sorts for local charities, and I love that they will pick up my unwanted items and put them to good use, or sell them to help people who haven't been as blessed as I have been.  They help keep everything from microwaves to shoes out of landfills, and that is a good thing.  If you want them to take your number off their list, just keep asking -- eventually you will get a volunteer who knows how to do that.  Many of them are volunteers, so have a little compassion!

called 25 times out of 30 days. no messages. i have never donated to this group and have never heard of it. somebody put a muzzle on this. i am on the do not call list, too.

Legitimate is, when told to stop calling, the calls stop! Any telemarketer disguised as whatever that do not follow the basic rules of decency for allowing the consumer to make a decision is just another predatory coward.

They don't identified themselves as the Red Cross they say their name and tell you they calling from charity clothing pick up on the behalf of the Red Cross or whatever charity they calling about get it right and every charity they call for has a web site and been around for many years and the items are sold to thrift stores and the proceeds from that benefits the charity if you asked them questions you will get the answer you are looking for and if they can't answer it they will get a manager who can answer your question.

This number is from Charity Clothing, but it is a shared number for Children's Home Society, Kidney Foundation and Women's Second chance.  I have give them donations in the past, but since they call constantly, morning, afternoon and evening I do not even answer the phone anymore.  They are relentless.

This organization is NOT a scam. And they NEVER ask for money donations - always unused clothes and small household items. I donate clothing to them regularly. They may be a little overzealous in their calling, and I agree that if you request to be taken off their call list then they should honor that request or pay the penalty.

They are not a charity organization themselves, but they do provides funding to charities by collecting donations for the charity and selling them at various thrift shops, much the same as Goodwill does at their stores, except different charities may sign up in different regions to receive funding locally. They provide the resources and do all the work, and the charity only has to collect the funds. That's why you could get a call from the same company for one charity today and a different one next week.

They do also leave receipts for donations, as I have received a receipt every time, except for once (on a windy day), and I've been donating to them for 5-6 years now on a fairly regular basis. And it's an easy way to reduce the stacks of stuff that we no longer use or need. I want to make it very clear that this organization is NOT A SCAM. They do good work for the communities in which they serve.

Red Cross is one very well-known charity that benefits from Charity Clothing pickup services. Here is a blurb from the Red cross website on this company: "Charity Clothing Pickup Services Inc. is a business that raises money for non-profit organizations through the sale of used clothing and shoes. The clothes that you donate to the Red Cross will be sold and the money generated will be used to help the Red Cross continue to provide aid for those in need. Nothing is thrown away! Items not suitable for sale are either distributed to third world countries or recycled into other products."

Charity Clothing Drive has been calling my phone for 7 years, at least 3-8 times a week, without a break. I have not answered the phone to them since the first year. I have also never donated to them. I said no, I don't have anything for the first 20 calls. Still, they called. Then I asked, even demanded, to be removed from the list for the next 20 calls. Still, they called. Then I stopped answering but they didn't stop calling. SEVEN YEARS of NOBODY answering that phone to them and they are still waking us up (even holidays and weekends), waking the kids up at night, disturbing our peace at all hours, making us feel stalked in our own home. Do Not Call list won't help with charities. Charity Clothing Drive is pure harassment at its finest. How do they expect to ever get donations when they disrespect the direct repeated requests of potential donors? My kids have grown up thinking they are pure evil - so much for cultivating future donors. I would NEVER give them anything except a piece of my mind.  Charitable? How about they donate some sanity to us and quit calling! Nobody needs your clothing that badly! Oh, and blocking only works if they stay with the same numbers.

These guys are relentless...At least 3 calls per week.

I keep getting calls from this number as well as other numbers that belong to this company.  It is Charity Clothing.  They call constantly AND WILL NOT STOP CALLING.  They use different telephone numbers when calling.  I feel that this is harassment of the worst kind!!

I'll see if I can explain a few things since I work in one if their call centers....No it is not in Florrisant...the charity names that they do use are because them charities came to them and asked them to call for them and they do get money from the selling of the clothes do if it is a scam then all them charities would be part of it...the main office is actually in Texas, St.Louis is just a call center....sure the charities don't get a real high percent and they know this when they ask for their names to be used, but the company does give hundreds of people jobs and a lot of them people would have a hard time getting jobs since they don't judge by your past...now I do agree that they call to much which is mainly due to they're to cheap to fix the problems with the computer systems...no one in the company is what you call well paid (most are minimum wage with no chance if raises)..the to late and to early calls people speak of, well they are calling during legal solicitor call times...they close at 9pm (calls usually stop about 8:55)...personally tho I don't care for the company, but wouldn't have a problem with them if they fixed the system so it wouldn't call people so much (which doesn't happen with most people, just some, which I find odd)....no they don't sell numbers or emails to other companies...and I'll be glad when I find a different job so I can leave them (working 6 days a week just to get 28 hours just isn't cutting it, plus I'm tired of getting yelled at fir people getting called to much)...the callers don't know what's going on and just think they are doing their jobs....it's not their fault you get called so much...that would be issues with the dialing system

 I have recived hundreds of calls a month from this Charity clothing number.  I donate clothes when I have them.  This is harrasment to say the least.  I have asked them to not call me, that I will call them if I have something to donate. They call early in the morning and late in the evening. Day after day after day. I just called them and again asked them to stop calling me. I will donate when I have something for them. Lets see if they will honor my request.  If they don't stop calling' I will take further actions to stop them and it won't be pretty.

Charity Clothing -- I always donate when they call.  The sell the best items and donate the rest, but the funds from the sold items also go to charity.  You can ask what charity they are collecting for -- they are contracted by many local charities, and while they do keep some of the money for administrative costs, this organization is on the level and they will give you a perfectly valid tax receipt.  As long as unused "stuff" is out of my house and not going into a landfill, I certainly don't mind if they keep a little for their gas and administration!!

I'm now getting these calls early in the AM - I keep late hours and would like to sleep past 7:30 AM. If you can run down an address down for this organization (prior remarks suggest it is in Florissant, MO), I am in St. Louis and might give them a personal visit to express our "concerns"!

"Charity Clothing" is just the Caller ID identifier.  I have donated to these people for years and they are perfectly legitimate, and they give a tax receipt from the American Red Cross.  They are just the "handler" that will pick up donations from your doorstep if you are too busy to drive your donations to the nearest Red Cross.  Be nice to them -- they are all volunteers and probably get an earful from most people who are used to money solicitations all evening, but all they want is the stuff you don't want anymore.

These idiots have their bot dialer, which calls you and no one on the other end numerous times just to find out what time you are home then a live person can call call back and get you while you are home have one of their bot dialer caller ID's masked as our business number. So we get all kinds of ring backs with all of these very angry people wondering why we are calling them numerous times and no one is on the other end. Or, they are looking to get ahold of charity clothing to donate. I have had it and I am now on a mission.
