I received a call from this number and decided to come on-line to check it.  I live in the state of Texas.

I notice they use Magic Jack as their phone service provider...interesting.

The DNC and TCPA ARE TWO SEPARATE LAWS. One regulates the Telemarking Sales Rule and the other regulates Autodialers, Prerecorded Messages, and Faxes.

This guy is right.. political organizations are exempt from most of the telemarketing rules, as are bill collectors and police and fire fundraisers. Jose is just an idiot.

Another note, you do not have to have a prior relationship with ANY company or individual for them to call you, espiecially political parties or "government" entities which can include police fundraisers.

You are wrong. The provisions in that act do not make it so you cant call cell phones, they make it so you cant call ANY phones but only under certain situations like after 9pm and before 8am.

Not at all,... cell phones are fair game unless you use the DNC (donotcall.gov) list.. and political calls do not have to follow the DNC list. They can actually use it to GET numbers

This must be a blanket political line that politicians use in all states. I'm from New York and I get a call from this number every day.  They don't leave a message.

This call was a political call to vote on a certain amendment.  The message did not indicate what state the amendment was in or anything else.

I just rec'd another call from this number but when I answered, once again there was no answer.  We get call daily from this number.

It's obvious, from the variety of candidates being touted, that this phone number belongs to a company. If someone can find that company's name and address and post it here, then we could demand (They have to do it.) that they put us on all do not call lists -- theirs, and their clients' lists.

It was 11:45 Saturday, November 1. When I answered the phone there was no message, then there was a click.  I assume this was a political call.
Why do they wait until nearly midnight?

Calls from this number are coming from Bruce Carter (12th  District Court of Appeals) in Ohio. Another poilical call. (It came to my cell phone).

I got a call from (314) 571-4154 at my number in the 404 area code, Atlanta Georgia.
