A guy said hello then it sounded like it got cut off or something. I called back and then a machine said that the number I called is not in service. Very annoying.

Call was lost in noise, I hung up, they did not call back. Vaguely remember getting a call from this number before.

Less than 10 minutes have passed since we got a call from that number. A guy said hello and hung up. We called back and a message robot said that the number was no longer in service.

Kort 2011-06-06 20:45:50 Unknown
Called and didn't leave a message. Sounds like a scam to me.

Credit Card Services said something about Credit Card, push 1. When I told the man that I was on the do not call list and to remove my number, he told me to get a life and listen. I will report this repeat calling to the Attorney General Office in my State and suggest that others do the same. They make it sound like there is something wrong with your credit card to get you to push one and then some kind of scam about getting you a lower rate, is not affiliated with any credit card company.

Call to my Cell
Annoyed x3 2011-06-06 20:45:50 Unknown
I have received this exact call 3 times, all from the Missouri or Mississippi area.
The first two times, which were over the last two months, I pressed "2", to be removed from their list.
This third time (today) I pressed "1", so that I could vocally request to be removed from their list.
When "Brian" answered and said that I had pressed 1 to lower my credit card rate, I said, "No, I pressed 1 so that I could speak with a live person to explain that I have pressed 2 on two previous calls, and I wanted to be removed from the list." As I finished saying this, Brian hung up.
I tried calling the number back (314-621-0014) only to receive the same message as other people, stating that this number was "out of service".
I bet it's their own answering machine/system, to make it sound like the number can't be reached.
Someone needs to shut these guys down immediately.

I got this call on my cell phone and when I went to call it back the recording said the number is no longer in service. So it looks like when they call back Im going to answer and ask to be taken off their call list. And If I get the same situation as Mike, above, I'm going to have a nice little chat session with their manager...

Diamond Dave 2011-06-06 20:45:50 Unknown
AUTOMATED voice went to VM. "No problem with your account but press one to lower your rate on your VISA." Disconnected when I called. Definitely a scam.
who the heck is this? 2011-06-06 20:45:50 Unknown
Just missed this call on my cell phone with a Rhode Island exchange. Thought it might have been someone I knew because the exchange is local to me (St. Louis area). The ending in '0014 is what triggered me to look it up before calling back.

This number called my cellphone today and since I didn't recognize the number I didn't answer. A message was left but it sounded as though it had started talking before my voicemail picked up. Here is what was said:
"...really help lock in those low interest rates. Rates as low as 1.5. We can even lock in lower minimum payments for you but I NEED to talk to ya, hear shortly. Give me a call 1-800-321-8451. It's me Steve, give me a call 1-800-321-8451"
The call back number was different from what was on caller ID. I do not have any credit cards at all and I did not call him back.

I get 2 or 3 calls a day from "erica" the recorded broad for credit card services. I finally pressed 1 to speak to someone live and a women answered. She cut me off and hung up the moment she knew i was complaining about the call.
Here is what I will do next time... I will press 1 and act interested in whatever crap they are pushing, but I will speak in a low voice. Once he/she is listening close I will blow a track whistle into the phone.

I received a hang up call on my cell at 9:52a.m. 11/11/09. As you all stated, it most likely is a scam from a St.Louis, Mo area. I'm going to put this # up on my chalk board tomorrow and let the kids know to tell their parents, as well as send a district wide e-mail. I suggest that any others send e-mails out to their lists. I'm also going to send e-mails to the local media and to the state attorney's office. This is the first time I've had this happen on my number. I'm with Altell, which as most know, is part of Verizon now. How many of you are with either of these companies? Someone may be getting the numbers from an employee.

Call my cell number. I didn't pick up. They left a voice mail. I listed to it and said something about lowering annally credit card rates and keeping it there. Also said something about credit card companies raising monthly rates and apr and that they'll help me and that it is free and they are nonprofit company. Didn't care too much to call back.
