I also received 6 calls from this number on 10/25/12. Asked them on every occasion to stop calling. They said my number had been selected for a $100.00 gift card from Wal-mart. Told them I wasn't interested. Told them to give it to someone else. They said they couldn't... Kept going. I was mad.

Then today I got a call from 214-269-8762 and they asked for my husband by name. The only way his name is associated with my cell number is his name is on the bill. She was very rude when I asked if I could tell him what the call was in regards to and she hung up.

What is the deal with these people

Last week I got over a dozen calls from this numbers most on one day apart. The calls would come very early in the morning or late at night making me mad. I find it interesting that the first three numbers 314 didn't come up on my cell phone as an area code for any states not even a country. Who ever is behind this got to be very sophisticated to not wanted to be track. I do hope Captain Bob have them track down and bring down the full force of the law on them. Anyone getting threats by who ever calling from that number should remember if the calls come through your cell phone, you can record the threats as prove so it can be use to prosecute them. You can also record from your landline if you have a recorder too, or use your cell phone's recording system. So far, I haven't got any more calls from that number but the last time I did, I scream down the phone stop calling me or else I have you track down and sue the heck out of you.

I have had this # calling me for two days straight now.  Each day so far has been about 10-12 times.  I have answered it 3 times and nobody responds.  They don't leave messages.  I am getting very annoyed and would like to know what can be done about this.

I answer but they immediately hung up. It is starting to drive me crazy , they have been calling me for three days now.

Please read my post I posted today 10/26/12 approx 6:30pm, I am having to go further than just blocking the number. The man I spoke to sounded like he was from the middle eastern area from his accent I could be wrong but it sure did sound like it. And when I refused to give him the $100.00 which was hard to understand him and there was static when he called, when I called the number back hoping to speak to someone to resolved this like you I was told by an automated number to press 1 enter my phone number and within 72 hours the calls would stop. Your post makes me think maybe it wasn't 100.00 but a 1000.00 something like I said I could barely understand him and when I asked if he was a telemarketing company he would not answer and when I told him to take my number off his calling list was when he became aggressive and threated me/family by telling me he could located where I lived with what information he had and I told him I would see legal advice and so on and he said he would do the same and hung up it was then I called the number back and got the automated message to press1 to enter my phone number which I did just as I was finishing, guess but who is calling me the same man from the same number with more threats, I had to call the local police. I forgot to mention in my orginal post today 10/26/12 that I received a call from this number exactly calls from this number on 10/12/12 but did not answer due to celebrating my husbands birthday. Their were voicemails when I retrieved them all there was with nothing but air and maybe someone typing on a keyboard, and then tonight they called harrassed me after I asked him to remove me from the list and became threating after I refused to donate or give him $100.00 for  whatever reason his was, he was hard to understand and if I'm not mistaken possibly from the middle eastern  area due the nature of his accent. as I've responded to others in post he contacted me on my cell phone not my home phone, and I have an android phone and will be looking into an app that blocks unwanted calls. And I will also post to you that I will be contacting a friend that is an attorney this weekend if the calls do not stop and I will  be calling the FCC come Monday morning for the threats he made to harm me/family by telling me he could located my address through my phone number. I contacted the local police department and they have put a 72 hour drive by watch now and told me to hold off on activating a app or calling my carrier so that if he does indeed call back it will be on record. I am also contacting the State Attorney General and anyone else that will listen to me come Monday morning. I suggest if you or anyone else finds out any information that we pass it to Capt Bob, and give him all the support we can and also take appropriate actions that need to be taken by each circumstance from this caller.  Peace and Love from Frustrated in Oklahoma

If they continue to call after the 72 hour period please contact the FCC and your cell phone or private home carrier to block this number for you. IF you use a cellphone that is iphone or android capabilities there are apps that are free in blocking unwanted numbers. You can read my post to Capt Bob and my own post on here posted 10/26/12 around 6:30pm when I called back it was an automated service and to press 1 and enter your phone number, I am curious did you get the same automated service upon call back?  I will also state here what I have previously stated, I support everyone of you that is being called every 5 mins and hundreds of times throughout the day, I support you all and maybe we should all contact the FCC if you were threatened like I was, and work with Capt Bob if you recieve any new information and provide it to him. Capt Bob is an amazing individual and through his post and working with him maybe we can bring this person down and have him brought to justice.

Capt Bob this has to stop this person has called me 7 times now more within an hour and when I was finally able to answer he wanted a $100.00 donation or $100.00 for something the call had static and was hard to hear between that and his accent, the man that spoke yelled and threated to located where I lived and to harm  me and or my family had a middle eastern accent. I am a retired nurse and medical consultant expert witness. I will be calling a friend that is an attorney at his home if the calls do not stop and the local police. I am also reporting it to the FCC. When I asked him to remove me from his list and would not give him the $100.00 for whatever reason because I could not understand him very clearly, he became very irrate and then the threats started and I told him I would consult legal advice and he said so will I, and hung up. I called the number back hoping to speak to his supervisor, to ask my number be removed and it said press 1 and after the beep inter your full phone number to be taken off our call list with in 72 hours just as I was finishing this process guess who it was him calling me back threating me again and I hung up, then I typed in a variation of telemarketing, non-profit,scams with the 314-627-2971 and came across this site and a couple of others. I would like to send a message out to everyone that has recieved a call from this person if it's your home phone which he did not call it but did call my cell, there are many free blocking apps please check into this, and if this person becomes threatening please contract your local law enforcement and possibly your State Attorney General and the FCC, this has to stop and Capt Bob if I can help you in any way please let me know. If it is possible for me to give you my private email or phone number through this site please let me know you have my backing 250% and then some as do all others that are being harrssed by this caller.

This man has called me 7 times in the last hour. I answered the 6th call and he was asking for $100.00 donation or a $100.00 for something. He sounds like he is from the middle east from his accent. I am going to google playstore and my personal phone carrier to see if I can have this number blocked and come Monday morning I will be contacting a friend that is an attorney for his advice and also be filing a complaint with the FCC for his comment in part about locating me by having my phone number and harming myself/family! I am also contacting our local police department, this has to stop!

4 calls today. 11:10, 12:10, 1:10 and 1:53  They can stop anytime!!!

I receive calls from this number several times a day and it's very annoying, they don't leave a message but they tend to call back over and over again. it's very irritating and I am trying to figure out a way to block that number.

This number 314-627-2971 calls me several times a day!  They never answer when they call!  It's getting extremely annoying!  This has to stop!

I have asked this company not to call me again and remove my phone number.

This number has called 10 times between the times 4:00-7:30! After the 5th time I got pissed and had the number traced! Everytime after that I picked up and got hung up on..except the last time. Told the guy on the other side that call was traced and call back and see what happens. Haven't called back since...yet!

they have called me12 times today.

they have called me 7 times in the last 4 hours. Even when i'm in class. i normally just hang up on them but when i do answer they hang up immediately, as soon as i say hello without saying anything. ... I called them back and the machine told me it was a telemarketer and that if i wanted them to stop then i should put my number in and they will stop. i did, and nothing happened, they've called me twice since then.

This number 314-627-2971 calls continually all day every day.  I don't know who it is, what they want, how they got my number, or anything else I just want the calls to stop.  I don't answer calls from unknown phone numbers.

I got a call from this number 3 times today adn when i did answer it in a daze from sleeping a woman said hello but i didnt care and hung up.. they have acalled back 2 times after that. i juss blocked the number on my phone  most cells have that feature now..no more calls!! :)

This number has been calling me for days, I have chose the option to be on the "do not call list" with them, yet it doesnt stop. I have gotten about 6 calls so far today.

Keeps calling all day. Last call at 12:50 pm central time. I never answered because i haveno friends in missouri or 314 area code. This i shall report to police.

I HAVE 10 CALLS A DAY FROM THIS NUMBER. WOULD FEDS STOP THIS GUY FROM CALLING. ITS REALLY ANNOYING AND BLOCK THIS NUMBER FOREVER.

If you answer and they talk to you, they will have a strong Indian accent. They will tell you that you have won $100, and will ask for your personal info so you can collect it. It's a scam set up in India most likely, and you should never answer any calls from MO 314-627-2971
