I pressed 1 to speak to a rep. When he came on the line I told him it was against the law to robo dial a business phone. He said he would take me off the list. I said that they have taken me off the list about 20 times. I told him that if they don?t stop calling I would file harassment charges on them. Then he said OH are your threating me? I said well if filing charges was considered harassment, I said I guess I am. Then he said OH are you a dirty girl? I said WHAT. He goes, you heard me, ARE YOU A DIRTY GIRL? Mind you I?m 6 foot 3, 250lb male. When can we get this crap to stop?

Drug & Alcohol ... hung up

They called my cell yesterday, now again today.  Pressed one and waited.

I said, "I'm addicted to something."

Without him saying anything else I said, "I'm addicted to f****ng with telemarketers, can you help me?"

He hung up right away.

My co-worker was rolling on the floor laughing.

Good on you!  The reason they use robocallers is to avoid talking to people that aren't potential victims - they can't afford to have people doing the intro script.  That's why the only way to break it is to talk to them as long as possible.

Spending hours on line griping about them does not stop this.

Telemarketing has to be stopped. Hanging up on them does not work, yelling at them does not work, writing long diatribes on line does not work.
I love talking to telemarketers, I try to keep them on the phone as long as possible. I start doing the dishes, cooking, cleaning my house. That way they are not wasting my time.  I pretend I am interested in their products, they won't hang up if they thing there is a possibility of making a buck.  I have talked to some for over an hour! I got lots done. I like to think I am saving hundreds of other people from getting a phone call from them because they are talking to me.

It is important for us to waste their time, because that is the only weapon we have against them. If enough people did this they could not stay in business. They would not be able to find the suckers amoungst the people like me. Don't do them the favor of swearing at them or hanging up. That is how they screen people They rely on people cursing an hanging up. Waste their time and end telemarketing forever.

The people that call are from call centers, they feed leads to the businesses. When I pretend to sign up for their services maybe the businesses have to pay a fee for the lead. So we can cost them money by pretending to accept the service. This is the only thing they understand, if telemarketing wasn't profitable they would not do it. People can stop telemarketers simply by talking to them. I make appointments withe alarm companies and they come out and I waste even more of their time.
So much so that they have put me on the do not call list.

The man who answered after I pressed 1 sounded like he was on drugs ... slurred speach telling me that I can qualify for benefits if I enter their program. Who the heck are these people? Are they scammers? ... Probably.

lucky me I have phone service from time warner cable and have used their selective call service to block this specific number and no do so for ALL calls like this I don't want bothering me again.

I would urge everyone to check with their phone service provider as I believe most company's offer a way to block specific numbers

I pressed 1, and an a***ole said CRISIS HOTLINE. Very gruff and nasty! I said, "Why are you calling me? I am on the DO NOT CALL list. He said "f****ng bi***" and hung up.

Rec'd 11/20/13 at 11:01am.  Did not answer.  Partial message on answering machine said something like "....or press 2 to be removed from our list."  Caller ID showed "Kae" and the phone number.  Blocked now.

I received the same robot call about the supposed support for drug and alchol abuse.  however, I am an identity theft victim as well as a medical insurance fraud vicitm of a woman who has a known drug and alcohol abuse record and lives in the same county where i live.  Her name is Carolynn Bissett Shumate.  She has two sons named Jpshua and Andrew who, according to internet sources,  her two sons were arrested in Belize in 2007 for cocaine traficking.  I have had calls before from people looking for this particular woman who has defrauded me of my acdemic identity as well as has attemped to engage in insurance fraud using my own insurance records in my not very humble opinion.  ( There are hospital clerical personnel also in on the plot, too.)  I feel that it was no accident that this outfit called me.  I believe that they are looking for alcoholics, and drug abusers who possess similar names.  For some reason these idiots do not realize that they are calling individuals who possess the same or similar names but do not have drug or alcohol problems or have ever been arrestesd for DWI.  I wish these bozos could get it straight who they are looking for-- or for whom they are looking if you are a stickler on correct grammar.  I also hate the damn bi*** with whom I have this idenity confusion.  I met her once at a Stat of vrignina Educational venue in which she was using the saem name and passing along a fraudulent curriculum vitae-- so that is how I happen to know exactly who she is!  I cannot get a job because employers think that I am she.  She is a very good con artist-- and apparently is involved with a lot of underworld figures as well as corrupt universitis officals. I have tried to report this bi*** to the poltice and  to anyone who will listen, but I cannot get any legal assitance whatsoever.  This bi*** is also involved with a pile of pro-life people, various religous outreach groups and just about every charitry in the book.  She is also her own personal charity.  Mostl these folks involved with her  tend to be both drug abusers, alcoholics and scam artists themselves.  They are also associated with the performing arts departments of various area Virginia universities as well as universites elsewhere with strong theatrre or perfroming arts departments  or music programs.  i suspect that somehow they are also involved with drug sales through music and dramatic arts  performance and so forth.  i wish that the FBI could get it  together enough to go after these folks.  I have received enough of such calls to be able to link these folks with drug slaes and the Performing Arts or Music departments of various schools.  My guess is that there are laos links to this K -12, also.  The drug sales scams also may extend to sports venues ,also.
Various tickettrons and university palnning events are involved in this scam.  University faclty staff in education and counseling psychology programs also tend to aid and abet this operation-- in my opinion, of course.  However, I believe that I have proof of all of my allegations.

Drug and alcohol rehab.  How did they know that the frigging telemarketers have driven me over the edge into substance abuse?

I am also on the 'Do Not Call List' & although it seems as though it does not good, it does.  It makes them calling you illegal.  Therefore, they are breaking the law.  O-o-o-h-h!  Right?  Next, I called the FCC & after waiting 'forever' I got through.  They said, 'Don't answer!'  They said answering, 'mashing' 1, & telling them to stop calling or 'mashing' 2 to put you on their do not call list only makes them call you more.  Write down any numbers from places like this, the date & time they call, & call the FCC (Federal Communications Commission) giving them the information.  But!  They will tell you they can't make them stop, but they can investigate them.  They told me & will probably tell you to, next call your state's Attorney General.  Give them the info also, & they can prosecute these companies for violating the 'Do Not Call List Registry'.  It is aggravating & will take time, probably, for them to stop these companies.  And even if they get 100 prosecuted and off the phones,  200 more will probably pop up to replace them.  But if enough people ring the FCC & their state's Attorney General's offices, well you know the old saying, 'The Squeeky Wheel gets the grease.'

I hope you're not going to hold your breath until the "do not call" thing kicks in.  I've been on the "do not call" registry for as long as it's been around, and I STILL get these damn calls.  The DO NOT CALL LIST is a waste of space on the web.  The wonderful government we have now could save a ton of money if they would shut it down.  It does no good what so ever to even register with them........they do nothing about these telemarketers calls.

I pressed to talk to person and asked guy what number he was calling... he read my number out and when I said that was my number, he commented hatefully why wouldn't it be... I wanted to see if he actually had my number (didn't want to give to him if he didn't know) so he would put it on the Do Not Call list. He hung up.  I called the number back and pressed 3 to be put on Do Not Call List.  My numbers are all on the National Do Not Call List, but obviously this is not working!

Was someone asking if me or a loved one suffers from a substance abuse problem. Suffer from?? More like revel in!!

They do not stop calling after you follow the instructions they give.

We are on both no call list our state and national. I am an attorney and a law suit will be filed if we get one more phone call. This is the only warning that will be given. I will file a 1.8 Million dollar law suit if we get one more phone call.

KAE from 3146668509 keeps calling me even after I've pushed 2 to be left alone.  Why is it so hard for government to track down these scammer?
