stop calling my phone

I received a call from this company stating that I owed money to a company I paid off a year and a half ago. I was told that unless I paid RIGHT NOW...someone would be at my house or place of employment to serve me papers. I gave them the account number and confirmation that this account had been paid, but the girl on the other end still insisted that I needed to pay. I told her I would call the company to confirm payment had been received and then call her back. I called the company who confirmed that my payment had been received and the company then said if I receive another call to ignore it because it is a scam.

called and hung up, I don't owe anyone ,past due anyway, the medical offices are affiliated with a hospital that gave me 100% financial assistance , so if it is them ,the left hand doesn't know what the right is doing.
medicare and secondary insurance already paid them, AND THE REST IS BEING COVERED BY FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE ,so why are they calling me?

They call my cell number everyday. I just got this number (new), this day and time people change number frequently and the carriers just pass it on to the next customer. So debit collectors need to get it together and stop harassing innocent people

Called me this morning, I answered but the caller stayed silent. From the looks of everybody's comments this is a collection agency. I wish I could pay whoever it is but man I'm pretty broke right now.

I don't know this number or these people. If its a bill collector they have no reason to call me period. I called the number back because when they call me and I answer they wont talk. After I called them back the first thing they asked me was is Donald Wimmer there I told them that no one by that name lived here they hung up abruptly.

i've been receivng calls from these numbers lately,and then when you don't answer that number, they switch to another number they think you will not recognize.  These people are calling private cell phone numbers which I think should be illegal.  No one wants to be bothered by these people, im sure they know they have the debt, but the bill collector won't get anywhere by harrassing them all the time by calling them everyday, and most the time they call before 9 am, which I know is against the law..

Very Rude Collection Company, They say I owe Money for a utility bill from a place I haven?t lived in, in over two years, asked for them to send me a bill and I would be happy to pay it... They in turn said they did already just a month ago... yeah I think I would have known if I got a bill in the mail.. What ever...  Refused to send me a bill... hummm each time I asked for one and I kept asking the entire time.. 10 or so or more, they refused, stating that they had already sent me one, then said we will put it on your credit report... Think I will speak to one of those attorneys I see on TV... Man it?s not much about 100 bucks but I?m not just going to pay some company just because they say I owe them.

Think I?ll see if a attorney may be interested in it? just for giggles if nothing else..

Please do not call my phone. I.'ve had this phone number for a short time but whoever your looking for its not me thank you.  Irritated!!!!!!!

I've been getting calls from this number for the past couple months. I normally didnt answer. Then they started leaving messages. A computer-generated voice, asking for a "Linda Bellamy" (I've never heard of this person). Eventually I decided to answer. It gave me the same computer voice asking for "Linda Bellamy", gave me the "If this is Linda Bellamy, press 1. To place this call on hold to go get this person, press 2. If this person is unavailable, press 3. If this person does not live at this address, press 4"

I press 4, and it hangs up. I figured that would be the end of it, but I've continued to get the calls. Each time (when I'm not busy) I answer, listen, and press 4. It hangs up. And then the next day or a few days later I get the call again.

I think I'm going to press 1 next time just to see what happens, and if I can talk to a real person. This is getting ridiculousn and annoying.

Paid in full all $557.47 to Laclede Gas in July & gas has not been cut off this year. I am wondering why they are calling me to say they are to collect for Laclede Gas.  Talk to Lacled Gas & they say they didn't know how my name & number had gone to a collection agency to call when the bill was paid & did not have had a chance to get to collection stage. These people call every morning & late at night to say I owe Laclede Gas & when I tell them that it is paid & try to give them the referrence number the man said that number I am giving is bogus & give them $340. Not going to give you any money to pay you when my bills are paid; what since do that make.  They are rude & want make a lot of threats the man Damian said he was coming to my house & he hope I have my insurance paid up, so I said please come on by because I am going to invite you in but I doubt if you will make it out.  

If you are a collection agency then you need to listen to what these people are saying to you & take the information, call the company that you are representing and if the things are true, send a letter to say you are sorry for the inconvience we have caused & let it go. The way you are collecting is not effective.

Get calls from both numbers at all hours of the day and night and even on sundays.  Never answer them, and they don't leave message.

These calls need to either stop or have someone on the other line

well, they called me about a laclede gas bill, so, i just sent my money to laclede gas.

Get calls from ID of # only, (NO Name ID) which I virtually never answer (privacy is so rare in "Big Brother's" world.) When I have answered a few times, I've recieved NO identification or specific description of caller's purpose or agency responsibility. Regardless, the contact has been less than civil, disingenous, unprofessional in comportment, and floridly indecorous. This generalized behavior can not be excused. If roles were reversed, I would be sanctioned in some fashion; civil if not criminal.
Does anyone know the current legal protocol for recording these conversations surreptitiously?

I got a call from 314-756-9370 and the women wouldn't give her name and told me I had a bill that I had better pay or else I would't like the guy's that came to talk to me in person. I asked her what bill she was talking about and she said I should know, and that she hoped for my sake my health insurance was paid up. I then hung up the phone. What the heck?

I've been getting calls from the same two numbers for about a week or so now. They've called combined 6 times. I never answer though.

Just received a call from that number.  Asked to speak to a Damien.  Told him he had the wrong number.  I gave him my number and he said "that's strange, we just got a phone call from Damien from that number."  I said he didn't and hung up.

I also have been receiving calls from 314-722-2693 with a taped message asking to speak to someone I don't know.

Who is it?

Call from 314-756-9370 at 6:30pm.  Call went to my cell phone.  Caller left no message.  I called number back from home phone, with call-block first (*67).  Conversation went like this:

"This is Jerome."
"Hi.  What's the name of your company, Jerome?"
"CACI."
(pause)
"Okay, and so are you a collection company or something?"
"Among other things."
(pause again, so I was going to hang up)
"Okay, thanks."
"Did you get a call from us?"
"Yes."
"What is your number, so I can look-up your information?"
"Sorry.  I'm not giving you my number.  I just wanted to know who was calling me and hanging up."
"Well then, you can just keep getting my phone calls."  click.

For being a collection agency, they sure don't want to get their money very badly.  I seem to recall talking to this Jerome guy before.  My impression is that they like to bully people, not much for "catching flies with honey."  Par for the course, I guess, when it comes to collectors.

This number has been calling me for about a month?  they never leave a message and I have not answered.

This person called and wanted to speak to a Virginia Vitzdam.  No one ever lived at the house with that name. Called 2 times right in a row.
