The do not call list only works if it is a telemarketer that is on the up and up. If it is a scam call the do not call list does not matter to them

I am on the national do not call list but these guys are not on the up & up some times someone will talk when I answer and the first time they said they knew I have been looking for free money from the government (NO I AM NOT) the second one they said I filled out some application on the internet for classes and (THIS IS NOT TRUE EITHER) Do not give these people any information, I told them I have put a few of the numbers they have been calling from in the computer and I found all sorts of people saying they are going through the same thing with these numbers, So I told the guy I'm not giving him any information and This is a scam call he hung up on me and did not call for the rest of that day but low and behold it started right back up bright and early the next morning. HOW CAN I STOP THE???? Do you know how???

My first call from this # received today.  I did not answer it, I did the reverse lookup through this site and discovered it is a telemarketer.  I too am on the Do Not Call List.  When I get unknown calls I do not answer them althought this one did tell me it was a call from Missouri.  I don't answer and add to my Reject List on my smartphone.  

I too, have been getting multiple calls from multiple numbers in different cities non stop for a few days now. I never answer numbers I dont know and I always Google them. All the numbers including this one have been some type of robocalling to get personal information.  I block every number so far through my smart phone and directly with my service provider. The "DO NO CALL LIST " does NOT work...infact I dont even think it exists. So try that...works for me.

This number has called me yesterday when I was at work. I didn't pick it up because I thought that it might be one of those debt collector type of thing.

Get several calls per day from different numbers. When I answer, they hang up without leaving a message. How do I stop these unwanted calls?

One of eight or nine calls I get a day. Even if I answer no one is there. Maybe they want me to do a reverse phone search and pay someone for it.

I think this is associated with academicdegrees.net. I signed up through an email from Beyond.com -- I was using it during my job search, and the email was about furthering my education, which I thought meant grad school. I decided "what the heck" since I am applying to grad school... BIG MISTAKE: now i get like 3 calls a day from different numbers. I kept telling them in the beginning I graduated from college already (which is what they seem to focus on, NOT grad school), and they said they would take me off the list, but obviously that didn't happen. They sometimes seemed pissed, like I was wasting THEIR time, because after I'd say "I already graduated from college" they would say "Ok then we probably can't help you" and hang up... So rude.

Anyway, now I just ignore all the calls, and save any number I find out is associated with academicdegrees.net into my iPhone under the same name (in this case "spam"), and block the contact.

I saw somewhere that these numbers are spoofed, so it looks like it is coming from a certain area code, but your phone is being tricked or something...? Which makes sense, because I got my cell phone in illinois, and I got a bunch of calls from Illinois numbers.

everyday i get random calls from all these different area codes.. im not going to answer if i don't know the number!  Why won't they stop its like if i don't answer its for a reason.

Several calls a day, machine answers they leave no message , I pick up they hang up or say they are from continueing education. I am on the national do not call list but it dosen't help.

9/05 14:26 No ID and no message.  Today has been pretty full of obnoxious, anonymous calls.  Have had approximately 15 so far.

I get this call from this number and when I answer it they hang up.  I am so tired of them calling how can I get them to stop, like I said they hang up when you say hello.
