I got the same thing... I usually don't answer calls at work, but I did this time because I hate seeing a number I don't recognize and then don't get any Google hits later. The call came in 10 minutes ago, on my mobile phone which is of course unpublished; I said, "Hello?"... silence... "Hello?" once more, and I got a surprised-sounding "Uh, hi." Then it sounded like the call was breaking or something because there was abruptly no sound. I hung up. Very strange, and now I'm dying of curiosity! I'm living in Chicago, and the area code was a St. Louis number.

I didn't answer call, but a message was left urging me to call 800 676 9314 and the name he left was Rick Morgan, something about lowering interest payments on credit card payments.  Sounds like a scam

Same here.....rang, answered it, a guy said hi,uh...then nothing. Then the call ended.

i just received a call from 314-842-0243 also. I googled it because i am not familiar with the area code and i found this site. I noticed everyone's posts were within the past hour or so. I did not have a voicemail left either. Very strange.

I have an AT&T GoPhone which costs me $1.00 for the first call of the day, then 10¢a minute, so I don't pick up calls from anyone I don't know. Got a call a few minutes ago from 314-842-0243 and just let it ring for a minute or so (persistent buggers). Then I got a text message from AT&T telling me the last call (which I didn't pick up) cost me 6¢. The 6¢ is not a big deal, but why was I charged for a nuisance call I didn't pick up?

Just like everyone else, I got a call on my business cell phone, he called me by name, then nothing.....

Same scenario...home phone called...male voice says "uh, hello", then silence till I hung up seconds later.

I am from Dallas..I also got a call from this number just now.

I answered hello and said my name. A man said hello then after a ruffling sound he hung up.  Can this be reported to BBB or some agency for harassment?  This doesnt seem like a random prank.

called my cell phone at 2:44.  not the first time I've received a call from this number.  didn't leave a message

same thing just happened to me at 3:00... i answered and got the same "uh, hello" I am in N. Carolina

Yeah, me too. Left a voice mail, which I listened to for about 5 sec before deleting it. Reduce interest rate, etc.

i'm in dallas.  call origin is Sappington, MO.  with all the replies, it's definitely spam. what's interesting in my case is he called my GOOGLE VOICE number.  i don't give out this number!!!  here's the transcript:
1 800 676 9314. Again, my name is Brent Morgan, and you can reach me here at 1(800) 676-9314.

He also called my Google Voice number - this kind of call is the exact reason I use Google Voice, so it worked for me! The transcript of his call is 'Again, my name is Brent Morgan, and you can reach me here at 1(800)676-9314. I am in MO, and I recognize the 314 area code, so I almost answered, but decided to let GV catch it.  Glad I did.

Happened to me today, called it right back and said the number was d?c'd. Sounds like a mass attempt to try multiple numbers that may not be listed. The number returned on the caller ID's seem spoofed to hide the real caller.

I got the same message on my cell as Strega7 above. Rick Morgan said I was the last courtesy call he can make and it was crucial I call him back at 800-676-9314 regarding credit cards interest @ 1.5%. He added that I only make minimum pmts on mine, so I knew it was a scam from that.

I called back 314-842-9243, and phone # is no longer in service. Huuum... Must be a scammer phishing for SS #'s and CC info.
