How do they get cell numbers?

Called my personal cell, but i didn't listen too long because I was freaking out. I lost my wallet with all my IDs and insurance cards about a week before and I'm afraid that my identity has been stolen.

Rick Morgan calling to say he has a new "program" to lower interest rates to 1.5% and cut monthly payments for my credit cards in half. Mentioned that I'm "only making minimum payments" and that it was the last courtesy call. Left an alternate number to call: 1-800-676-9314

I got the "Kelly" version of this left as a partial message on my cell phone. I didn't hear the beginning so I was afraid someone legit was calling me about my student loans. I'm glad this message board is here or I might have called back!

left me a voicemail saying "hi, this is rick morgan, i'm just returning your call, i apologize it took me so long. something about lowering my interest rate to 1.9% and cut my credit card payments in half. "i saw that you were making minimum payments, so i wanted to help you out with this. this is my last courtesy call so don't hesitate to call... 800-676-9314"

i'm 17 and have no credit cards, and virtually no credit, so i knew this was bull. i really wish they'd stop calling me already. they've left me two voicemails in the past week or two.

SAME STORY, HE CALLED SAID HELLO THEN HUNG UP   I BET SUXX C!!CK AND SWALLOWS.  THE SCUMBAG

I received the same call from (314) 863-4706. No idea what it was about since my voice mail cut off the first part of the message, which makes me think it's an automated calling system. The message call back name and number are the same as reported by others: Rick Morgan, 800-676-9314.

Weird, this just happened to me. I got the "Kelly" voicemail and was told to call back the 18009784586 number, also.

I didn't answer the call to my phone because I saw it was a number way out of my area code. I listened to my voice mail after the call. And it was the woman named Kelly that left me an 800 number as well. Obviously a scam because she was saying something about me paying off my debt. I've never had any credit cards during my life time, so I do not in fact have any debt.

Got this same call on my cell phone (recorded message).  I'm not sure how much good it will do but I am reporting the number (filing a complaint) at the federal governments "Do Not Call" site.  You can do the same and maybe these bozo's will get a hefty fine:

Got a call, said "Press 1 to talk to an operator", so I did to tell them to f...ing leave me alone, but then - silence.

I didn't answer, no message from caller

i didn't know number so left it, it went to voicemail, just silence.  googled the number and got this site.  call came in at 9:30am PT.

It was about my credit card, visa, mastercard, american express... they weren't picky.

But they wanted to HELP ME cut my rates in half...

They then asked me to punch 1 or 2... while I stared at my phone, I won the staring contest and 'it' hung up...

I called back immediately, and this phone number has been disconnected or no longer in service at this time.

I believe it's illegal to market to cell phones, isn't it???

The phone rang, I picked up and no answer on the other side.  I do not recognize the area code and picked up out of curiosity

Message from Rick Morgan offering to lower my interest rates on credit card- funny- i don't even own a credit card!

Just got a call from this number.  Same thing everyone else is saying.  They said Hello and then hung up on me.

I got the same thing, a man said "hello" then nothing, I just hung up!

I got this same call. Didn't recognize it so I didn't answer, googled the number and got this site. Very informative!

Got a call from this number a few minutes ago. I hanged up on my cellphone so it went straight to my voicemail. And sure I was they left me a voicemail msg. That was like this... This is Rick Morgan... Hey sorry it took me so long to get back at you blah blah blah. I had a new to program blah blah blah that could lower your interest rate blah blah blah to 1.9% blah blah blah... I didn't even listen to the whole thing. I deleted it after that. I knew in the first place that it was a scam.

Same as rest. seems this is a rash of calls they are making today.  This one from Rick Morgan was kinda neat.  I do enjoy these calls for the humor. People, just chilllout and know it is a computer and no matter what they call blocks of numbers no matter what. They don't have to follow the rules, because they are criminals. Enjoy it and don't let it get to you.

just got a call from the same number they left the following message that was transcribed by google voice, some mistakes, but most of it is correct:
"Hey this is Kelly again, Just checking in to see if you've gotten the letters from your credit card companies talking about increasing your bed in the payment for your interest rate and I wanted to follow up with you about that program with a non, profit, or we can lock in rates as low as 1.9% and possibly get those minimum payments and a half, or, Yeah, but I do need to talk to you soon about that. So give me a call at 1(800) 978-4586 and ask for Kelly. It's again. That number is at 1(800) 978-4586 and I hope to hear from you soon."

I got a call from this number and an automated voice came on talking about if had wanted to lower my credit card intrest rate press 1 if I wanted to keep a high intrest rate press 2...I pressed 2 and hung up LOL! I waited for like an hour and called the number back 314.863.4706 and it was disconnected! Sorry b*****ds! Get a real job freakin' idiots! Oh and just an fyi to ya...my hubby is a detective with the FBI so listen to me: YOUR NUMBER AND LOCATION ARE BOTH UNDER SURVEILLANCE! Now who gets the last laugh!

Rick Morgan just left a message and said that it was my last chance to take advantage of this opportunity and he wasnt going to make anymore courtesy calls...who the hell is this guy and what is he talking about..

I got a voicemail from some Morgan saying he could be reached at 1(800)676-9314. Mentioned something about a job offer and working from home for a company in Texas

Just got the same call some guy said hi then nothing - b***s*** how these ppl get our numbers!
