THEY KEEP HARRISING ME

Who in their right mind comments like the above?
Debt collector that googled his own #.

I dealt with Mr. Leonard. Hes a very kind and understanding man who helped me get my balance that I owed down to about half and got my account settled. He went the extra step and got me a paid in full letter with all the original account info included, I dont understand why all of you are on here trying to find ways to not pay your debt that you know darn well you owe. Large creditors have the means and right to persue with civil judgements. Ive had one on me before.. and Mr Leonard helped put a stop to this one. You really think you can walk into a store front loan place and provide them with all of your info, take their money and never pay them a dime back?? Cmon people smarten up and take care of your business. Be adults and instead of trying to find ways to get out of what you did just own up to it... he will help you.

I checked on the case number in the country Mr. Leonard referenced; the court told me that the case number was from 1973, years before I was born.  My state's Attny General's office advised to avoid the call, not to call back or give any information, even confirming your name - if it is legitimate, official notification would come through US postal mail, not a random telephone call.

Yes its a bill collector posing as an attorney. They're very pushy and threatening but its just a bill collector. A man at a call center. Don't be scared when they threaten you with jail and a "charged being filed against your social security number". They can't do anything but threaten you. Trust me.

Scambuster, I received a call at work yesterday and I told the lady I was working not to all here. I then receive a call from Mr. Leonard who knew the name my employer's payroll clerk. He said that I should receive a summons on Monday between 2:00-4:00. He said that he is calling about Cash Yes which I'm sure is a cash advance company. I didn't know debitors tell you the exact date you'd be summoned.

Mr. Leonard claims to be a mediator trying to settle a debt that I had with Cash Call or Western Sky prior to a civil action being filed in my local county court.  Left all of this information on my work voice mail.  Gives a "claim #" which is extremely illegal in state of Texas if he is indeed a debt collector posing as an attorney.  I will have to do a debt verification letter and do research to make sure he is really who he says he is.   I never give information over phone.  GET IT IN WRITING!!

This company said i owe a payday loan when i call back i get a cell phone voice mail is this a scam
